Abstract

A manifold can determine a turnover scheme including a target turnover schedule of target turnover levels, based on an operation schedule and efficiency setting for a fluid distribution. Each target turnover level can correspond to a volume of fluid to be cycled through the fluid distribution system over a period of time. The manifold can operate respective valves and a supply device based on a target turnover level and determine a current turnover level from a flowrate detected by a flow sensor for at least one of the valves. The manifold can receive a current usage of the fluid distribution system and determine a required turnover level. An override status for the turnover scheme can be based on the efficiency setting and a comparison of the current, target, and the required turnover levels, and the manifold can operate respective valves and the supply device based on the override status.

Claims (50)

1. A method for turning over a fluid distribution system including a manifold, the method comprising:

receiving, with a processor of the manifold, an operation schedule and efficiency settings for the fluid distribution system;

determining a turnover scheme based on the operation schedule and the efficiency settings for components of the fluid distribution system, the turnover scheme including a target turnover schedule of target turnover levels;

operating the manifold and at least one supply device of the fluid distribution system based on a current time target turnover level specified in the target turnover schedule corresponding to a current time;

receiving, from a computing device in communication with the processor, a current usage level for the fluid distribution system;

determining a required turnover level corresponding to the current usage level;

determining an override status for the turnover scheme based on the efficiency settings and a comparison of the target turnover level and the required turnover level; and

operating the manifold and the at least one supply device based on the override status, wherein each target turnover level corresponds to a volume of fluid to be cycled through the fluid distribution system over a predetermined period of time.

2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

continuously monitoring a current turnover level; and

issuing notifications when a setting for any of the target turnover levels of the turnover scheme is modified based on a determination of the required turnover level.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the current usage level includes a number of users of the fluid distribution system.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the efficiency setting specifies a threshold power consumption for the fluid distribution system for a predetermined period of time.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the processor determines a current turnover level based on a flowrate of fluid flow as detected by a flow sensor for at least one valve of the manifold.

The method of claim 1 , wherein the processor determines a current turnover level based on a total flowrate for the manifold, wherein the manifold includes a plurality of valves and a flow sensor for each of the plurality of valves, and wherein the processor accesses a flowrate detected by the flow sensor for each of the plurality of valves to determine the total flowrate for the manifold.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the target turnover level corresponds to a total volume of fluid to be cycled through the fluid distribution system over a predetermined period of time.

8. A non-transitory, computer-readable medium containing instructions that, when executed by a hardware-based processor, performs stages for turning over a fluid distribution system including a manifold, the stages comprising:

receiving, with a processor of the manifold, an operation schedule and efficiency settings for the fluid distribution system;

determining a turnover scheme based on the operation schedule and the efficiency settings for components of the fluid distribution system, the turnover scheme including a target turnover schedule of target turnover levels;

operating the manifold and at least one supply device of the fluid distribution system based on a current time target turnover level specified in the target turnover schedule corresponding to a current time;

receiving, from a computing device in communication with the processor, a current usage level for the fluid distribution system;

determining a required turnover level corresponding to the current usage level;

determining an override status for the turnover scheme based on the efficiency settings and a comparison of the target turnover level and the required turnover level; and

operating the manifold and the at least one supply device based on the override status, wherein each target turnover level corresponds to a volume of fluid to be cycled through the fluid distribution system over a predetermined period of time.

9. The non-transitory, computer-readable medium of claim 8 , the stages further comprising: continuously monitoring a current turnover level; and

issuing notifications when a setting for any of the target turnover levels of the turnover scheme is modified based on a determination of the required turnover level.

10. The non-transitory, computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the current usage level includes a number of users of the fluid distribution system.

11. The non-transitory, computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the efficiency setting specifies a threshold power consumption for the fluid distribution system for a predetermined period of time.

12. The non-transitory, computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the processor determines a current turnover level based on a flowrate of fluid flow as detected by a flow sensor for at least one valve of the manifold.

13. The non-transitory, computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the processor determines a current turnover level based on a total flowrate for the manifold, wherein the manifold includes a plurality of valves and a flow sensor for each of the plurality of valves, and wherein the processor accesses a flowrate detected by the flow sensor for each of the plurality of valves to determine the total flowrate for the manifold.

14. The non-transitory, computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the target turnover level corresponds to a total volume of fluid to be cycled through the fluid distribution system over a predetermined period of time.

15. A fluid distribution system, comprising:

a supply device; and

a manifold including:

a memory storage including a non-transitory, computer-readable medium comprising instructions, and

a computing device including a hardware-based processor, wherein the hardware-based processor executes the instructions to carry out stages comprising:

receiving an operation schedule and efficiency settings for the fluid distribution system;

determining a turnover scheme based on the operation schedule and the efficiency settings for components of the fluid distribution system, the turnover scheme including a target turnover schedule of target turnover levels;

operating the manifold and at least one supply device of the fluid distribution system based on a current time target turnover level specified in the target turnover schedule corresponding to a current time;

receiving, from a computing device in communication with the hardware-based processor, a current usage level for the fluid distribution system;

determining a required turnover level corresponding to the current usage level;

determining an override status for the turnover scheme based on the efficiency settings and a comparison of the target turnover level and the required turnover level; and

operating the manifold and the at least one supply device based on the override status, wherein each target turnover level corresponds to a volume of fluid to be cycled through the fluid distribution system over a predetermined period of time.

16. The system of claim 15 , wherein hardware-based processor executes the instructions to carry out stages further comprising:

continuously monitoring a current turnover level; and

issuing notifications when a setting for any of the target turnover levels of the turnover scheme is modified based on a determination of the required turnover level.

17. The system of claim 15 , wherein the current usage level includes a number of users of the fluid distribution system.

18. The system of claim 15 , wherein the efficiency setting specifies a threshold power consumption for the fluid distribution system for a predetermined period of time.

19. The system of claim 15 , wherein the processor determines a current turnover level based on a flowrate of fluid flow as detected by a flow sensor for at least one valve of the manifold.

20. The system of claim 15 , wherein the processor determines a current turnover level based on a total flowrate for the manifold, wherein the manifold includes a plurality of valves and a flow sensor for each of the plurality of valves, and wherein the processor accesses a flowrate detected by the flow sensor for each of the plurality of valves to determine the total flowrate for the manifold.
