Abstract

Disclosed herein are compositions and kits which comprise anti-CD38 antibodies and carfilzomib compounds. Also disclosed are methods for treating cancers, such as multiple myeloma, in subjects with the compositions and kits.

Claims (12)

1 . A method of treating multiple myeloma in a subject comprising administering an anti-CD38 antibody and carfilzomib to the subject, wherein the anti-CD38 antibody comprises a heavy chain having a VH variable region comprising an amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO: 66, and a light chain having a V L variable region comprising an amino acid sequence set forth in either SEQ ID NO: 62 or SEQ ID NO: 64;

wherein the subject has undergone at least two prior therapies for multiple myeloma, and

wherein the anti-CD38 antibody and carfilzomib are administered in a synergistic amount.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the multiple myeloma is a relapsed multiple myeloma or a refractory multiple myeloma.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the anti-CD38 antibody and carfilzomib are administered in a therapeutically effective amount.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the anti-CD38 antibody is capable of killing a CD38 + cell by apoptosis, antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC), and complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC).

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the anti-CD38 antibody is administered intravenously.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein carfilzomib is administered intravenously.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the anti-CD38 antibody and carfilzomib are administered sequentially.

8 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising administering dexamethasone to the subject.

9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein dexamethasone is administered orally.

10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the anti-CD38 antibody, carfilzomib, and dexamethasone are administered sequentially.
