Abstract

Provided is a wavelength path communication node device with no collision of wavelengths and routes, capable of outputting arbitrary wavelengths, and capable of outputting them to arbitrary routes. An add/drop multiplexer ( 11 ) includes a communication unit ( 101 ) that communicates an optical signal with at least one client device and at least one network and a control unit ( 102 ) that indicates a transfer destination of the optical signal according to an attribute of the received optical signal to the communication unit ( 101 ). The control unit ( 102 ) indicates an attenuation amount of the optical signal to the communication unit ( 101 ) for each connected device. When a connected device is changed, the control unit ( 102 ) instructs the communication unit ( 101 ) to change the attenuation amount. The communication unit ( 101 ) attenuates the optical signal with the attenuation amount indicated by the control unit ( 102 ) and transfers the attenuated optical signal to a transfer destination.

Claims (32)

1. An optical communication apparatus comprising;

a demultiplexer configured to demulitplex a wavelength multiplexed signal into a plurality of optical signals;

an attenuator configured to attenuate one of the plurality of optical signals, the attenuated optical signal being sent to an optical device connected to the optical communication apparatus; and

a controller configured to receive a connection information on a connected target and send, to the attenuator, an attenuation amount according to the received connection information,

wherein the controller sends the attenuation amount corresponding to a first optical device when the connected target of the received connection information is the first optical device, and sends the attenuation amount corresponding to a second optical device when the connected target of the received connection information is the second optical device.

2. The optical communication apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein

the attenuated optical signal is sent from an output port, and

the controller sends the attenuation amount corresponding to the first optical device when a connection destination of the output port is the first optical device, and sends the attenuation amount corresponding to the second optical device when the connection destination of the output port is the second optical device.

3. The optical communication apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the optical device is a client device or a network.

4. An optical communication system comprising;

a network management apparatus, and

an optical communication apparatus;

wherein

the network management apparatus controls the optical communication apparatus; and

the optical communication apparatus comprising;

a demultiplexer configured to demulitplex a wavelength multiplexed signal into a plurality of optical signals;

an attenuator configured to attenuate one of the plurality of optical signals, the attenuated optical signal being sent to an optical device connected to the optical communication apparatus; and

a controller configured to receive, from the network management apparatus, a connection information on a connected target and send, to the attenuator, an attenuation amount according to the received connection information,

wherein the controller sends the attenuation amount corresponding to a first optical device when the connected target of the received connection information is the first optical device, and sends the attenuation amount corresponding to a second optical device when the connected target of the received connection information is the second optical device.

5. The optical communication system according to claim 4 , wherein

the attenuated optical signal is sent from an output port, and

the controller sends the attenuation amount corresponding to the first optical device when a connection destination of the output port is the first optical device, and sends the attenuation amount corresponding to the second optical device when the connection destination of the output port is the second optical device.

6. The optical communication system according to claim 4 , wherein the optical device is a client device or a network.

7. An optical communication method for an optical communication apparatus, the optical communication method comprising;

demulitplexing a wavelength multiplexed signal into a plurality of optical signals;

attenuating one of the plurality of optical signals, the attenuated optical signal being sent to an optical device connected to the optical communication apparatus; and

receiving a connection information on a connected target and attenuating the optical signal with an attenuation amount according to the received connection information,

wherein the attenuation amount is an amount corresponding to a first optical device when the connected target of the received connection information is the first optical device, and is an amount corresponding to a second optical device when the connected target of the received connection information is the second optical device.

8. The optical communication method according to claim 7 , wherein
