a candidate entity search engine that performs search activity responsive to the formed phrases and returns a ranked set of search results to the dialer; and

the dialer further constructed with a search result interface in which the dialer presents at least one result of the set of search results and, responsive to selection thereof by the user, dials a candidate entity that corresponds to the user selection.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the phrase forming circuit forms the phrases based on a set of contact resources.

3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the phrase forming circuit forms the phrases based on a set of candidate contacts determined from user contact activity conducted through the smart phone.

4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the phrase forming circuit further forms candidate phrases from which it forms the phrases based on results of search engine searches of at least one of the candidate phrases.

8. The system of claim 7 , wherein the set of sponsored contacts is provided by the SCM platform.

9. The system of claim 1 , wherein the dialer is further constructed to communicate with a Sender Controlled Media (SCM) platform contemporaneously with dialing the candidate entity.

10. The system of claim 1 , wherein the phrase forming circuit forms phrases representing a set of categories of contacts for user selection.

11. The system of claim 10 , wherein the set of categories is a set of product and service categories.

12. The system of claim 10 , wherein responsive to a user selection of a category in the set of categories, the dialer presents at least one contact providing an offering related to the category, and responsive to a user selection thereof, dials the selection.

13. A method comprising:

forming with a processor an ordered stream of numeric values representing dial pad element selections into partial phrases based on alphabetic characters associated with each dial pad element, wherein the forming is based on a set of Sender Controlled Media (SCM) platform participants;

determining with the processor a set of candidate contact entities based on results of search engine activity responsive to at least one of the partial phrases;

refining with the processor the set of candidate contact entities based on user context; and

causing a call to be placed by a source of the ordered stream responsive to receiving a user selection from the refined set of candidate contact entities, wherein the call is caused to be placed to the user-selected contact entity.

14. The method of claim 13 , wherein the forming is based on a set of sponsored contacts.

15. The method of claim 14 , wherein the set of sponsored contacts is provided by the SCM platform.

16. The method of claim 13 , wherein the forming is based on results of search engine searches of at least one of the candidate phrases.

17. The method of claim 13 , wherein the forming comprises forming phrases representing a set of categories of contacts for user selection.

18. The method of claim 17 , wherein the set of categories is a set of product and service categories.

19. The method of claim 17 , further comprising, responsive to a user selection of a category in the set of categories, presenting at least one contact providing an offering related to the category, and responsive to a user selection thereof, dialing the selection.

20. A system comprising:

a dialer executing on a processor of a smart phone, the dialer constructed with a dial pad interface through which a user is enabled to sequentially select numbers;

a phrase forming circuit that responds to the sequentially selected numbers by forming phrases based on alphabetic characters associated with the sequentially selected numbers, wherein the phrase forming circuit forms the phrases based on a set of contact resources and wherein the phrase forming circuit forms the phrases based on a set of sponsored contacts;

a candidate entity search engine that performs search activity responsive to the formed phrases and returns a ranked set of search results to the dialer; and

the dialer further constructed with a search result interface in which the dialer presents at least one result of the set of search results and, responsive to selection thereof by the user, dials a candidate entity that corresponds to the user selection.

21. The system of claim 20 , wherein the set of sponsored contacts is provided by the SCM platform.

22. The system of claim 20 , wherein the dialer is further constructed to communicate with a Sender Controlled Media (SCM) platform contemporaneously with dialing the candidate entity.

23. The system of claim 20 , wherein the phrase forming circuit forms phrases representing a set of categories of contacts for user selection.
