Abstract

A system, method, and computer-readable medium are disclosed for performing a data center monitoring and management operation. The data center monitoring and management operation includes: identifying a plurality of asset resources; selecting a workload for allocation of asset resources; determining which asset resources of the plurality of asset resources may be needed for allocation, determination of which asset resources of the plurality of asset resources may be needed for allocation taking into account on-premises asset resources and cloud-based asset resources the inventory of the available asset resources; and, performing a data center hybrid cloud asset allocation operation, the data center asset allocation operation allocating resources the workload based upon the determining.

3. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

performing an asset choreography operation, the asset choreography operation tracking use of the certain on-premises asset resources and certain cloud-based asset resources to determine whether the certain asset resources on-premises asset resources and the certain cloud-based asset resources are underutilized.

4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

performing a workload orchestration operation, the workload orchestration operation allocating an underutilized asset resource to the workload, the underutilized asset resource comprising at least one of an on-premises asset resource and a cloud-based asset resource.

5. The method of claim 4 , wherein:

the workload orchestration operation implements a previously allocated asset resource such that the previously allocated asset resource is used to the workload.

6. The method of claim 5 , wherein:

the workload orchestration operation allocates the underutilized asset resource based upon a capacity of the underutilized asset resource.

7. A system comprising:

a processor;

a data bus coupled to the processor; and

a non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium embodying computer program code, the non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium being coupled to the data bus, the computer program code interacting with a plurality of computer operations and comprising instructions executable by the processor and configured for:

identifying a plurality of asset resources;

selecting a workload for allocation of asset resources;

determining which asset resources of the plurality of asset resources may be needed for allocation, determination of which asset resources of the plurality of asset resources may be needed for allocation taking into account on-premises asset resources and cloud-based asset resources the inventory of the available asset resources, the determining being performed via a hybrid cloud asset choreography module, the hybrid cloud asset choreograph module receiving information from an on-premises asset chorography module and a cloud-based asset choreography module, the hybrid cloud asset choreography module coordinating asset choreography operations performed by the on-premises asset chorography module and the cloud-based asset choreography module; and,

performing a data center hybrid cloud asset allocation operation, the data center asset allocation operation allocating resources the workload based upon the determining.

8. The system of claim 7 , wherein the instructions executable by the processor are further configured for:

presenting a hybrid cloud workload optimization user interface, the hybrid cloud workload optimization user interface enabling optimization of allocation of asset resources to the workload between the on-premises asset resources and the cloud-based asset resources.

9. The system of claim 7 , wherein the instructions executable by the processor are further configured for:

performing an asset choreography operation, the asset choreography operation tracking use of the certain on-premises asset resources and certain cloud-based asset resources to determine whether the certain asset resources on-premises asset resources and the certain cloud-based asset resources are underutilized.

10. The system of claim 1 , wherein the instructions executable by the processor are further configured for:

performing a workload orchestration operation, the workload orchestration operation allocating an underutilized asset resource to the workload, the underutilized asset resource comprising at least one of an on-premises asset resource and a cloud-based asset resource.

11. The system of claim 10 , wherein:

the workload orchestration operation implements a previously allocated asset resource such that the previously allocated asset resource is used to the workload.

12. The system of claim 11 , wherein:

the workload orchestration operation allocates the underutilized asset resource based upon a capacity of the underutilized asset resource.

13. A non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium embodying computer program code, the computer program code comprising computer executable instructions configured for:

identifying a plurality of asset resources;

selecting a workload for allocation of asset resources;

determining which asset resources of the plurality of asset resources may be needed for allocation, determination of which asset resources of the plurality of asset resources may be needed for allocation taking into account on-premises asset resources and cloud-based asset resources the inventory of the available asset resources, the determining being performed via a hybrid cloud asset choreography module, the hybrid cloud asset choreograph module receiving information from an on-premises asset chorography module and a cloud-based asset choreography module, the hybrid cloud asset choreography module coordinating asset choreography operations performed by the on-premises asset chorography module and the cloud-based asset choreography module; and,
