Abstract

Systems and methods of providing data to users during or after audio and/or text communication sessions are disclosed. Systems and methods of the present disclosure include receiving text, audio, and/or other data from one or more past or currently occurring communication sessions, receiving a text and/or audio request for information from a user relating to a past or a currently occurring communication session, identifying an answer to the request in the text, audio, and/or other data from the communication session; and presenting the answer to the user in a user-friendly manner via a user interface. Systems and methods include providing answers to queries relating to meetings and/or communication sessions occurring in a series such as recurring meetings.

Claims (38)

1 . A computer-implemented method comprising:

receiving, with a processor, from a first user, a request for information;

based on the request for the information, identifying, with the processor, a first communication session;

accessing, with the processor, text data comprising a transcript of the first communication session from a database;

processing, with the processor, the transcript of the first communication session using a natural language processing system to i) when the natural language processing system is capable of generating an answer to the request for the information, generate the answer, and ii) when the natural language processing system is not capable of generating the answer, identify a second user that made a statement within the text data about the information requested by the first user; and

displaying, by the processor, to the first user via a graphical user interface i) an identity of the second user and a prompt for the first user to contact the second user when the natural language processing system is not capable of generating the answer, and ii) when the natural language processing system is capable of generating the answer, the answer including first text generated by the natural language processing system which immediately satisfies the request for the information when the first user views the first text on the graphical user interface.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the request for the information is received in a second communication session, and wherein the answer includes second text that provides an option to gather additional information associated with the answer.

3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the first communication session ended prior to receiving the request for the information, and wherein the second text comprises a hyperlink that links to the transcript of the first communication session.

4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein identifying the first communication session comprises identifying, with the processor, a plurality of communication sessions related to the request for the information.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein identifying the answer to the request comprises identifying, with the processor, a speaker of a text string within the transcript of the first communication session.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the prompt for the first user to contact the second user comprises a hyperlink that enables the first user to contact the second user.

7 . A device comprising:

a processor; and

a computer-readable storage medium storing computer-readable instructions which, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to execute a method, the method comprising:

receiving, from a first user, a request for information;

based on the request for the information, identifying a first communication session;

accessing text data comprising a transcript of the first communication session from a database;

processing the transcript of the first communication session using a natural language processing system to i) when the natural language processing system is capable of generating an answer to the request for the information, generate the answer to the request for the information, and ii) when the natural language processing system is not capable of generating the answer, identify a second user that made a statement within the text data about the information requested by the first user; and

displaying to the first user via a graphical user interface i) an identity of the second user and a prompt for the first user to contact the second user when the natural language processing system is not capable of generating the answer, and ii) when the natural language processing system is capable of generating the answer, the answer including first text generated by the natural language processing system which immediately satisfies the request for the information when the first user views the first text on the graphical user interface.

8 . The device of claim 7 , wherein the request for the information is received in a second communication session.

9 . The device of claim 8 , wherein the first communication session ended prior to receiving the request for the information.

10 . The device of claim 9 , wherein identifying the first communication session comprises identifying a plurality of communication sessions related to the request for the information.

11 . The device of claim 7 , wherein identifying the answer to the request comprises identifying a speaker of a text string within the transcript of the first communication session.

12 . A computer program product comprising:

a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having computer-readable program code embodied therewith, the computer-readable program code configured, when executed by a processor, to execute a method, the method comprising:

receiving, from a first user, a request for information;

based on the request for the information, identifying a first communication session;

accessing text data comprising a transcript of the first communication session from a database;

processing the transcript of the first communication session using a natural language processing system to i) when the natural language processing system is capable of generating an answer to the request for the information, generate the answer to the request for the information, and ii) when the natural language processing system is not capable of generating the answer, identify a second user that made a statement within the text data about the information requested by the first user; and

displaying to the first user via a graphical user interface i) an identity of the second user and a prompt for the first user to contact the second user when the natural language processing system is not capable of generating the answer, and ii) when the natural language processing system is capable of generating the answer, the answer including first text generated by the natural language processing system which immediately satisfies the request for the information when the first user views the first text on the user graphical interface.

13 . The computer program product of claim 12 , wherein the request for the information is received in a second communication session.

14 . The computer program product of claim 12 , wherein identifying the answer to the request comprises identifying a speaker of a text string within the transcript of the first communication session.

15 . The computer program product of claim 13 , wherein the first communication session ended prior to receiving the request for the information.

16 . The computer program product of claim 15 , wherein identifying the first communication session comprises identifying a plurality of communication sessions related to the request for the information.

17 . The computer program product of claim 12 , wherein the prompt for the first user to contact the second user comprises a hyperlink that enables the first user to contact the second user.

18 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the request is a text message input by the first user, wherein the method further comprises displaying the request in the graphical user interface and processing the request using the natural language processing system.

19 . The device of claim 7 , wherein the request is a text message input by the first user, wherein the method further comprises displaying the request in the user interface and processing the request using the natural language processing system.

20 . The computer program product of claim 12 , wherein the request is a text message input by the first user, wherein the method further comprises displaying the request in the user interface and processing the request using the natural language processing system.
