Abstract

A handheld countermeasure device is disclosed herein. The device can include a hand-held form factor body. The device can include disruption components, a directional antenna, and a processor. The disruption components can be configured to generate a disruptive signal. The directional antenna can be configured to emit the disruptive signal. The processor can be configured to determine a position of the handheld countermeasure device based on a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signal. The processor can be configured to load a device profile for the handheld countermeasure device based on the position of the handheld countermeasure device.

Claims (40)

1. A handheld countermeasure device, comprising:

a hand-held form factor body;

a plurality of disruption components configured to generate a disruptive signal;

at least one directional antenna configured to emit the disruptive signal; and

a processor configured to:

determine a position of the handheld countermeasure device based on a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signal; and

load a device profile for the handheld countermeasure device based on the position of the handheld countermeasure device.

2. The handheld countermeasure device of claim 1 , wherein the disruptive signal comprises a false data signal.

3. The handheld countermeasure device of claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to unlock one or more features based on the position of the handheld countermeasure device.

4. The handheld countermeasure device of claim 1 , wherein the device profile comprises computing instructions and the processor is configured to execute the computing instructions.

5. The handheld countermeasure device of claim 4 , wherein the processor is configured to execute the computing instructions from the device profile to radiate the disruptive signal from the plurality of disruption components.

6. The handheld countermeasure device of claim 5 , wherein the disruptive signal from the plurality of disruption components is radiated at a particular power based on the device profile.

7. The handheld countermeasure device of claim 5 , wherein the disruptive signal from the plurality of disruption components is radiated at a particular frequency based on the device profile.

8. The handheld countermeasure device of claim 1 , further comprising a haptic feedback component, wherein the processor is further configured to generate haptic feedback via the haptic feedback component.

9. The handheld countermeasure device of claim 8 , wherein the processor is further configured to generate the haptic feedback in response to at least one of entering or leaving a particular geofence.

10. The handheld countermeasure device of claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to:

record the position of the handheld countermeasure device; and

store the position in a data log.

11. A portable countermeasure device, comprising:

a body;

at least one directional antenna;

at least one signal disruption component in electronic communication with the at least one directional antenna; and

a processor configured to:

determine a geographical position of the portable countermeasure device based on a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signal; and

load a device profile for the portable countermeasure device based on the geographical position of the portable countermeasure device.

12. The portable countermeasure device of claim 11 , further comprising a GNSS receiver in communication with the processor, wherein the GNSS receiver configured to receive the GNSS signal.

13. The portable countermeasure device of claim 11 , wherein the at least one directional antenna is hot swappable.

14. The portable countermeasure device of claim 11 , wherein the at least one signal disruption component is configured to generate a disruptive GNSS signal via the at least one directional antenna.

15. The portable countermeasure device of claim 11 , wherein the device profile is associated with a particular geographical area.

16. The portable countermeasure device of claim 15 , wherein the processor is configured to load the device profile based on the geographical position of the portable countermeasure device being within the particular geographical area.

17. A method, comprising:

determining, via a processor of a handheld countermeasure device, a geographical position of the handheld countermeasure device based on a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signal;

loading, via the processor, a device profile for the handheld countermeasure device based on the geographical position of the handheld countermeasure device; and

generating, via at least one signal disruption component in electronic communication with at least one directional antenna, a disruptive signal based on the device profile.

18. The method of claim 17 , wherein generating the disruptive signal comprises radiating, from the at least one directional antenna, the disruptive signal at a particular power based on the device profile.

19. The method of claim 17 , wherein generating the disruptive signal comprises radiating, from the at least one directional antenna, the disruptive signal at a particular frequency based on the device profile.

20. The method of claim 17 , further comprising:

determining an area defined by a geofence;

determining the geographical position has entered into the geofence; and

in response to the geographical position entering into the geofence, generating, via a haptic feedback component, a haptic feedback to an operator.
