Organic electroluminescent compound, a plurality of host materials, and organic electroluminescent device comprising the same
An organic electroluminescent compound and a plurality of host materials produce an organic electroluminescent device having an improved luminous efficiency.
1. An organic electroluminescent compound represented by the following formula 1:
wherein the formula 1 is represented by at least one of the following formulas 2-1 to 2-4:
in formulas 2-1 to 2-4,
X 1 to X 4 , each independently, represent N or CR c , and at least two of X 1 to X 4 represent N;
Y 1 to Y 4 , each independently, represent N or CR d , and at least one of Y 1 to Y 4 represents N;
R c and R d , each independently, are represented by -L-Ar;
L represents a single bond, a substituted or unsubstituted (C1-C30)alkylene, a substituted or unsubstituted (C6-C30)arylene, a substituted or unsubstituted (3- to 30-membered)heteroarylene, or a substituted or unsubstituted (C3-C30)cycloalkylene;
Ar represents hydrogen, deuterium, a halogen, a cyano, a substituted or unsubstituted (C1-C30)alkyl, a substituted or unsubstituted (C6-C30)aryl, a substituted or unsubstituted (3- to 30-membered)heteroaryl, a substituted or unsubstituted (C3-C30)cycloalkyl, or a substituted or unsubstituted (C1-C30)alkoxy; or is represented by the following formula 3 or 4:
in formulas 3 and 4,
R a1 , R a2 , R b1 , R b2 , and R b3 , each independently, represent a substituted or unsubstituted (C6-C30)aryl, a substituted or unsubstituted (3- to 30-membered)heteroaryl, or a substituted or unsubstituted (C3-C30)cycloalkyl, and
* represents a site linked to L; or
at least two adjacent Ar's may be linked to each other to form a ring(s);
R a represents a methyl, an ethyl, an n-propyl, an isopropyl, an n-butyl, an isobutyl, or a tert-butyl;
R b represents a methyl, an ethyl, an n-propyl, an isopropyl, an n-butyl, an isobutyl, a tert-butyl, or a phenyl;
ring A represents a benzene or a naphthalene; and
ring B is absent, or represents a benzene.
2. The organic electroluminescent compound according to claim 1 , wherein the formula 1 is represented by at least one of the following formulas 1-1 to 1-3:
in formulas 1-1 to 1-3,
R a , R b , and Y 1 to Y 4 are as defined in claim 1 ;
L 1 and L 2 , each independently, are the same as the definition of L in claim 1 ; and
Ar 1 and Ar 2 , each independently, are the same as the definition of Ar in claim 1 .
3. The organic electroluminescent compound according to claim 1 , wherein the formula 1 is represented by at least one of the following formulas 1˜4 and 1-9:
in formulas 1-4 and 1-9,
R a and R b are as defined in claim 1 ;
L 1 to L 4 , each independently, are the same as the definition of L in claim 1 ; and
Ar 1 to Ar 4 , each independently, are the same as the definition of Ar in claim 1 .

The organic electroluminescent compound according to claim 1 , wherein at least one of Ar's represents a substituted or unsubstituted (C6-C30)aryl, a substituted or unsubstituted (3- to 30-membered)heteroaryl, a substituted or unsubstituted (C3-C30)cycloalkyl, or a substituted or unsubstituted (C1-C30)alkoxy; or is represented by formula 3 or 4.

The organic electroluminescent compound according to claim 1 , wherein the substituent(s) of the substituted alkyl (ene), the substituted aryl (ene), the substituted heteroaryl (ene), the substituted cycloalkyl (ene), and the substituted alkoxy, each independently, are at least one selected from the group consisting of deuterium; a halogen; a cyano; a carboxyl; a nitro; a hydroxyl; a phosphineoxide; a (C1-C30)alkyl; a halo (C1-C30)alkyl; a (C2-C30)alkenyl; a (C2-C30)alkynyl; a (C1-C30)alkoxy; a (C1-C30)alkylthio; a (C3-C30)cycloalkyl; a (C3-C30)cycloalkenyl; a (3- to 7-membered)heterocycloalkyl; a (C6-C30)aryloxy; a (C6-C30)arylthio; a (5- to 30-membered)heteroaryl unsubstituted or substituted with a (C6-C30)aryl(s); a (C6-C30)aryl unsubstituted or substituted with a (5- to 30-membered)heteroaryl(s); a tri(C1-C30)alkylsilyl; a tri(C6-C30)arylsilyl; a di(C1-C30)alkyl (C6-C30)arylsilyl; a (C1-C30)alkyldi(C6-C30)arylsilyl; a fused ring group of a (C3-C30) aliphatic ring(s) and a (C6-C30) aromatic ring(s); an amino; a mono- or di-(C1-C30)alkylamino; a mono- or di-(C2-C30)alkenylamino; a mono- or di-(C6-C30)arylamino unsubstituted or substituted with a (C1-C30)alkyl(s); a mono- or di-(3- to 30-membered)heteroarylamino; a (C1-C30)alkyl (C2-C30)alkenylamino; a (C1-C30)alkyl (C6-C30)arylamino; a (C1-C30)alkyl (3- to 30-membered)heteroarylamino; a (C2-C30)alkenyl (C6-C30)arylamino; a (C2-C30)alkenyl (3- to 30-membered)heteroarylamino; a (C6-C30)aryl (3- to 30-membered)heteroarylamino; a (C1-C30)alkylcarbonyl; a (C1-C30)alkoxycarbonyl; a (C6-C30)arylcarbonyl; a (C6-C30)arylphosphine; a di(C6-C30)arylboronyl; a di(C1-C30)alkylboronyl; a (C1-C30)alkyl (C6-C30)arylboronyl; a (C6-C30)aryl (C1-C30)alkyl; and a (C1-C30)alkyl (C6-C30)aryl.
6. The organic electroluminescent compound according to claim 1 , wherein the compound represented by formula 1 is at least one selected from the following compounds:
7. A plurality of host materials comprising a first host material and a second host material, wherein the first host material comprises the compound represented by formula 1 according to claim 1 , and the second host material comprises a compound represented by the following formula 11:

X and Y, each independently, represent —N═, —NR7-, —O—, or —S—, with the proviso that any one of X and Y represents —N═, and the other one of X and Y represents —NR7-, —O—, or —S—;
R 1 represents a substituted or unsubstituted (C6-C30)aryl, or a substituted or unsubstituted (3- to 30-membered)heteroaryl;
