Abstract

A multi-modal portal system provides an authorization prior to establishing a visual interface connection between a support user or caller and a client user or receiving party. Once the caller is authorized, the caller is permitted to drop-in such that a visual interface connection is established with the receiving party. The authorization can be based on a profile configuration that indicates whether the caller has the credentials required for the visual interface. The authorization can require that a notification be sent to a trusted user or primary contact or the caller can be associated with a profile configuration that allows for a pre-authorization without requiring the notification. Also, a schedule associated with the profile configuration can ensure a video notification of one or more scheduling parameters to the client user as well as the receipt of a video response from the client user.

Claims (70)

1. A multi-modal portal system for providing one or more video notifications to a multi-sensor hub based on a profile configuration associated with a client user comprising:

a memory storing one or more computer-readable instructions; and

identify one or more schedules associated with the client user based on the profile configuration, wherein the profile configuration comprises one or more access parameters and one or more user profiles associated with at least one of the one or more access parameters;

retrieve one or more video notifications stored in a storage system, wherein the one or more video notifications are associated with the one or more schedules, a task, and a task instruction associated with the task;

establish, via an access point device connected to the multi-sensor hub, a visual interface connection to the multi-sensor hub associated with the client user based on the profile configuration; and

provide, via the visual interface connection, the one or more video notifications to the multi-sensor hub for display on a display device associated with the multi-sensor hub.

2. The multi-modal portal system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to execute one or more instructions to:

receive, via the visual interface connection, one or more responses from the client user, wherein the one or more responses are based on the one or more video notifications, wherein the one or more responses comprise a video response, a verbal-only response, or a non-responsive response.

3. The multi-modal portal system of claim 2 , wherein the processor is further configured to execute one or more instructions to:

create an activity log that logs activity associated with the one or more schedules.

4. The multi-modal portal system of claim 2 , wherein the processor is further configured to execute one or more instructions to:

provide, via the visual interface connection, one or more additional video notifications to the client device based on the one or more responses.

5. The multi-modal portal system of claim 2 , wherein the processor is further configured to execute one or more instructions to:

provide a response notification to a trusted user based on the profile configuration and the one or more responses.

6. The multi-modal portal system of claim 5 , wherein the processor is further configured to execute one or more instructions to:

receive from the trusted user a video call-in request based on the response notification; and

establish, via the visual interface connection, a video call connection between the multi-hub device and a network device associated with the trusted user based on the profile configuration, wherein the video call connection allows for communication between the trusted user and the client user.

7. The multi-modal portal system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to execute one or more instructions to:

create the profile configuration associated with the client user;

associate a trusted user with the profile configuration;

associate the client device with the client user;

associate a network device with the trusted user;

associate the one or more scheduled notifications with the client user; and

associate one or more video notifications with the one or more scheduled notifications.

8. A method for providing by a multi-modal portal system one or more scheduled notifications to a multi-sensor hub based on a profile configuration associated with a client user, the method comprising:

identifying one or more schedules associated with the client user based on the profile configuration, wherein the profile configuration comprises one or more access parameters and one or more user profiles associated with at least one of the one or more access parameters;

retrieving one or more video notifications stored in a storage system, wherein the one or more video notifications are associated with the one or more schedules, a task, and a task instruction associated with the task;

establishing, via an access point device connected to the multi-sensor hub, a visual interface connection to the multi-sensor hub associated with the client user based on the profile configuration; and

providing, via the visual interface connection, the one or more video notifications to the multi-sensor hub for display on a display device associated with the multi-sensor hub.

9. The method of claim 8 , further comprising:

receiving, via the visual interface connection, one or more responses from the client user, wherein the one or more responses are based on the one or more video notifications, wherein the one or more responses comprise a video response, a verbal-only response, or a non-responsive response.

10. The method of claim 9 , further comprising:

creating an activity log that logs activity associated with the one or more schedules.

11. The method of claim 9 , further comprising:

providing, via the visual interface connection, one or more additional video notifications to the client device based on the one or more responses.

12. The method of claim 9 , further comprising:

providing a response notification to a trusted user based on the profile configuration and the one or more responses.

13. The method of claim 12 , further comprising:

receiving from the trusted user a video call-in request based on the response notification; and

establishing, via the visual interface connection, a video call connection between the multi-hub device and a network device associated with the trusted user based on the profile configuration, wherein the video call connection allows for communication between the trusted user and the client user.

14. The method of claim 8 , further comprising:

creating the profile configuration associated with the client user;

associating a trusted user with the profile configuration;

associating the client device with the client user;

associating a network device with the trusted user;

associating the one or more scheduled notifications with the client user; and

associating one or more video notifications with the one or more scheduled notifications.

15. A non-transitory computer-readable medium of a multi-modal portal system storing one or more instructions for providing one or more scheduled notifications to a multi-sensor hub based on a profile configuration associated with a client user, which when executed by a processor of the multi-modal portal system, cause the multi-modal portal system to perform one or more operations comprising:

identifying one or more schedules associated with the client user based on the profile configuration, wherein the profile configuration comprises one or more access parameters and one or more user profiles associated with at least one of the one or more access parameters;

retrieving one or more video notifications stored in a storage system, wherein the one or more video notifications are associated with the one or more schedules, a task, and a task instruction associated with the task;

establishing, via an access point device connected to the multi-sensor hub, a visual interface connection to the multi-sensor hub associated with the client user based on the profile configuration; and

providing, via the visual interface connection, the one or more video notifications to the multi-sensor hub for display on a display device associated with the multi-sensor hub.

16. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more instructions when executed by the processor further cause the multi-modal portal system to perform the one or more further operations comprising:

receiving, via the visual interface connection, one or more responses from the client user, wherein the one or more responses are based on the one or more video notifications, wherein the one or more responses comprise a video response, a verbal-only response, or a non-responsive response.
