Abstract

Methods and systems are provided for communicating in a wireless network based on a prioritization status. User equipment can receive a first signal that includes an indicator. The UE can determine a prioritization status for a second signal based on the prioritization indicator. The UE can communicate, with one or more radio access networks (RANs) of a network, the second signal, where the timeline of the second signal can be out of order respective of other signals communicated by the UE and the wireless network. The second signal can include data transmitted by an ultra-reliable low latency communication (URLLC) service. The UE can communicate the second signal out of order with respect to one or more additional signals. The UE, based on the indicator, can communicate hybrid automated repeat request (HARQ) feedback before a HARQ feedback timeline of a non-urgent transmission.

Claims (33)

1. A method for communicating in a wireless network, the method comprising:

receiving, by a user equipment (UE), a first signal comprising one or more configuration instructions; and

communicating, by the UE, a second signal with one or more radio access networks (RANs) of the wireless network, based on a prioritization status, wherein the second signal is a grant-based physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) signal, and

wherein the UE determines the prioritization status for the second signal based on a grant-free resource periodicity and a duration of the grant-based PUSCH signal.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the communicating comprises transmitting the second signal using a grant-based resource based on the prioritization status.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first signal comprises one or more bit fields corresponding to a prioritization indicator.

4. The method of claim 3 , wherein the first signal is a downlink (DL) assignment, an uplink (UL) grant, or a resource configuration for a UL configured grant, and wherein the first signal comprises one or more bit fields corresponding to the prioritization indicator for a transmission over a resource specified by the first signal.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first signal is a resource configuration for a UL configured grant, wherein the UE is configured for UL carrier aggregation, and wherein the method further comprises prioritizing, by the UE, power allocation for transmission on a Primary Cell (PCell) over power allocation for transmission on a Primary Secondary Cell (PSCell).

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second signal is a grant-based PUSCH signal, wherein the prioritization status for scheduling the grant-based PUSCH signal is determined based on the first signal having T GB <=T GF or P GF <=NT GB , wherein T GB represents a duration of the grant-based PUSCH signal, T GF is a duration of grant-free resource, P GF is a grant-free resource periodicity, and N is an integer greater than zero.

7. The method of claim 1 , further comprising communicating, in the second signal, one or more of a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) signal, a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) signal, the PUSCH signal, or a hybrid automated repeated request (HARQ) signal.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the first signal comprises a plurality of unicast physical downlink shared channels (PDSCHs) that overlap in time, and

the UE is configured for a semi-static hybrid automated repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) codebook multiplexing, a semi-static HARQ-ACK codebook having MN fields, where M represents a number of the plurality of unicast PDSCHs, and N is a number of PDSCH occasions.

9. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second signal comprises data transmitted by an ultra-reliable low latency communication (URLLC) service.

10. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second signal is an out-of-order (OOO) hybrid automated repeat request (HARQ) feedback signal associated with physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) scheduling or associated with OOO PUSCH scheduling.

12. A user equipment (UE) comprising:

a memory that stores one or more configuration instructions;

a receiver configured to receive a first signal from a wireless network, the first signal comprising the one or more configuration instructions;

a transmitter configured to transmit one or more signals to the wireless network; and

a processor, coupled to the memory configured to:

communicate, via one of the transmitter or receiver, a second signal, based on a prioritization status, wherein the second signal is a grant-based physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) signal, and wherein the prioritization status is determined based on a grant-free resource periodicity and a duration of the grant-based PUSCH signal.

13. The UE of claim 12 , wherein the communicating comprises transmitting the second signal using a grant-based resource based on the prioritization status.

14. The UE of claim 12 , wherein the first signal comprises one or more bit fields corresponding to a prioritization indicator.

15. The UE of claim 12 , wherein the second signal is an out-of-order (OOO) hybrid automated repeat request (HARQ) feedback signal associated with physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) scheduling or associated with OOO PUSCH scheduling.

16. The UE of claim 12 , wherein the second signal comprises data transmitted by an ultra-reliable low latency communication (URLLC) service.

17. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium that stores instructions for execution by one or more processors configured to, when the instructions are executed:

receive a first signal comprising one or more configuration instructions; and

communicate a second signal, based on a prioritization status, wherein the second signal is a grant-based physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) signal, and wherein the prioritization status is determined based on a grant-free resource periodicity and a duration of the grant-based PUSCH signal.

18. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 17 , wherein the first signal comprises one or more bit fields corresponding to the prioritization status.

19. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 17 , wherein the first signal comprises one or more bit fields corresponding to a prioritization indicator for a transmission over a resource specified by the first signal.

20. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 17 , wherein the first signal comprises a plurality of unicast physical downlink shared channels (PDSCHs) that overlap in time, and

a user equipment (UE) is configured for a semi-static hybrid automated repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) codebook multiplexing, a semi-static HARQ-ACK codebook having MN fields, where M represents a number of the plurality of unicast PDSCHs, and N is a number of PDSCH occasions.
