Abstract

One or more methods of handling intra user equipment (UE) uplink (UL) overlapping grants. At least one of the methods includes: configuring a logical channel (LC) with a parameter defining a reliability metric associated with the LC; determining, based on the parameter, that a grant satisfies a reliability requirement; and transmitting data associated with the LC using the grant.

Claims (35)

1 . A method comprising:

receiving a logical channel (LC) parameter indicating a reliability requirement associated with the LC, wherein the reliability requirement comprises a spectrum efficiency (SE) limit of the LC, and wherein the SE limit corresponds to a row of a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) table;

determining that an SE of a first grant is less than or equal to the SE limit of the LC;

transmitting, using the first grant, data associated with the LC; and

refraining from using a second grant that overlaps with the first grant in response to determining that an SE of the second grant is above the SE limit of the LC.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first grant is a configured grant (CG) or a dynamic grant (DG).

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein receiving the LC parameter indicating the reliability requirement associated with the LC comprises:

receiving the LC parameter in a logical channel configuration message.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the LC parameter is indicative of an index in the MCS table.

5 . The method of claim 4 , further comprising:

receiving an indication of the MCS table in a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) configuration message.

6 . An apparatus comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory configured to store instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the apparatus to perform operations comprising:

receiving a logical channel (LC) parameter indicating a reliability requirement associated with the LC, wherein the reliability requirement comprises a spectrum efficiency (SE) limit of the LC, and wherein the SE limit corresponds to a row of a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) table,

determining that an SE of a first grant is less than or equal to the SE limit of the LC;

transmitting, using the first grant, data associated with the LC; and

refraining from using a second grant that overlaps with the first grant in response to determining that an SE of the second grant is above the SE limit of the LC.

7 . The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the first grant is a configured grant (CG) or a dynamic grant (DG).

8 . The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein receiving the LC parameter indicating the reliability requirement associated with the LC comprises:

receiving the LC parameter in a logical channel configuration message.

9 . The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the LC parameter is indicative of an index in the MCS table.

10 . The apparatus of claim 9 , the operations further comprising:

receiving an indication of the MCS table is in a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) configuration message.

11 . One or more processors configured to perform operations comprising:

receiving a logical channel (LC) parameter indicating a reliability requirement associated with the LC, wherein the reliability requirement comprises a spectrum efficiency (SE) limit of the LC, and wherein the SE limit corresponds to a row of a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) table;

determining that an SE of a first grant satisfies is less than or equal to the reliability requirement SE limit of the LC;

transmitting, using the first grant, data associated with the LC; and

refraining from using a second grant that overlaps with the first grant in response to determining that an SE of the second grant is above the SE limit of the LC.

12 . The one or more processors of claim 11 , wherein the first grant is a configured grant (CG) or a dynamic grant (DG).

13 . The one or more processors of claim 11 , wherein receiving the LC parameter indicating the reliability requirement associated with the LC comprises:

receiving the LC parameter in a logical channel configuration message.

14 . The one or more processors of claim 11 , wherein the LC parameter is indicative of an index in the MCS table.

15 . The one or more processors of claim 14 , the operations further comprising:

receiving an indication of the MCS table is in a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) configuration message.
