Abstract

According to one embodiment, a tungsten oxide powder is provided. The tungsten oxide has an average particle size along a major axis of 10 μm or less, an average aspect ratio of 10 or less, and 0 to 4 crystal defects per unit area of 9 nm 2 on a surface or sectional surface in a direction of a minor axis of a primary particle.

Claims (5)

1 . A tungsten oxide powder, having an average particle size along a major axis of 10 μm or less, an average aspect ratio of 10 or less, and 0 to 2 crystal defects per unit area of 9 nm 2 on a surface or sectional surface in a direction of a minor axis of a primary particle,

wherein 50% by mass or more of a crystal structure belongs to a monoclinic crystal, and

the tungsten oxide powder comprises a hexagonal tunnel structure along the major axis.

2 . The tungsten oxide powder according to claim 1 , comprising oxygen deficiency.

3 . The tungsten oxide powder according to claim 1 , for use in one selected from the group consisting of photocatalytic material, electrochromic material, and electrode material for batteries.
