Abstract

Examples that relate to calling on a computing device are disclosed. One example provides a computing device, comprising, a first display a second display, a sensor system a logic subsystem and a storage subsystem comprising instructions executable by the logic subsystem to output, via one or both of the first display and the second display, a notification of an incoming phone call at the computing device, and based on output from the sensor system indicating a relative angle between the first display and the second display being changed to an angle greater than a predetermined angle, answer the incoming phone call.

Claims (23)

1. A computing device, comprising

a first display;

a second display;

a sensor system;

a logic subsystem; and

a storage subsystem comprising instructions executable by the logic subsystem to

output, via one or both of the first display and the second display, a notification of a phone call incoming at the computing device;

based at least on output from the sensor system indicating a relative angle between the first display and the second display being changed to an angle greater than a first predetermined angle, answer the phone call;

after answering the phone call, based at least on output from the sensor system indicating the relative angle being changed to an angle less than a second predetermined angle and an audio accessory not being coupled to the computing device, end the phone call; and

after answering the phone call, based at least on output from the sensor system indicating the relative angle being changed to an angle less than the second predetermined angle and an audio accessory being coupled to the computing device, maintain the phone call.

2. The computing device of claim 1 , further comprising instructions executable to output, via one of the first display and the second display, a notification indicating that the audio accessory is coupled to the computing device.

3. The computing device of claim 1 , further comprising instructions executable to, responsive to answering the phone call, output, via one of the first display and the second display, a calling user interface comprising one or more controls selectable to adjust a state of the phone call.

4. The computing device of claim 1 , wherein the audio accessory comprises a wireless headset.

5. The computing device of claim 1 , further comprising instructions executable to, responsive the audio accessory being disconnected from the computing device, output, via one of the first display and the second display, a notification indicating that the audio accessory is disconnected from the computing device.

6. The computing device of claim 5 , wherein the notification comprises a control selectable to activate a speaker of the computing device with which to conduct the phone call.

7. The computing device of claim 1 , further comprising instructions executable to, responsive to receiving a user input, transfer a user interface for conducting the phone call from the first display to the second display.

8. The computing device of claim 7 , wherein the user input comprises a selection of a control configured to transfer the user interface from the first display to the second display.

9. The computing device of claim 1 , further comprising instructions executable to output a notification indicating that a telephone receiver of the computing device is unavailable when conducting the phone call using the first display as an active display.

10. The computing device of claim 9 , wherein the notification comprises a control selectable to conduct the phone call using a speaker of the computing device.

11. The computing device of claim 9 , wherein the notification comprises a control selectable to conduct the phone call using the audio accessory when conducting the phone call using the first display as an active display.

12. The computing device of claim 1 , further comprising instructions executable to

in a flip mode in which one of the first display and the second display is an active display, and the other of the first display and the second display is an inactive display, display on the active display a pinned app bar comprising one or more controls each selectable to execute a corresponding application; and

in a double display mode in which both of the first display and the second display are active displays, display the pinned app bar across the first display and the second display.
