SELECTIVELY WITHHOLDING ALERTS IN ONE RETAIL STORE IN RESPONSE TO EVENTS IN OTHER RETAIL STORES
Systems and methods for coordinating actions across two or more retail stores are provided. In one implementation, at least one processor is configured to receive first image data captured from a first retail store; analyze the first image data to identify a first planogram incompliance event for a shelf of the first retail store; generate an instruction for an employee to perform a remedial action; acquire and store feedback from the employee; receive second image data captured from a second retail store; analyze the second image data to identify a second planogram incompliance event for a shelf of the second retail store; determine that the shelves of the first and second retail stores are related: access the feedback from the employee; use the feedback in determining what action to take in response to the second planogram incompliance event; and initiate an action based on the determination.

142 . A system for processing images captured in multiple retail stores and automatically coordinating actions across two or more retail stores, the system comprising:
at least one processor configured to:
receive first image data captured from an environment of a first retail store depicting products displayed on shelves of the first retail store;
analyze the first image data to identify a first planogram incompliance event associated with at least one shelf of the first retail store;
generate an instruction for an employee of the first retail store to perform a remedial action in response to the identified first planogram incompliance event;
acquire and store feedback from the employee of the first retail store regarding the first planogram incompliance event;
receive second image data captured from an environment of a second retail store depicting products displayed on shelves of the second retail store;
analyze the second image data to identify a second planogram incompliance event associated with at least one shelf of the second retail store;
determine that the at least one shelf of the second retail store is related to the at least one shelf of the first retail store;
access the feedback from the employee of the first retail store regarding the first planogram incompliance event associated with the at least one shelf of the first retail store;
use the feedback from the employee in determining what action to take in response to the second planogram incompliance event associated with at least one shelf of the second retail store; and
initiate an action based on the determination.
143 . The system of claim 142 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to:
in response to a first feedback from the employee of the first retail store, generate an instruction for an employee of the second retail store to perform a remedial action in response to the identified second planogram incompliance event; and
in response to a second feedback received from the employee of the first retail store, forgo generating the instruction for the employee of the second retail store to perform the remedial action in response to the identified second planogram incompliance event.

The system of claim 143 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to use the first feedback to determine the remedial action for the employee of the second retail store, wherein the remedial action for the employee of the second retail store corresponds to the remedial action performed by the employee of the first retail store in response to the identified first planogram incompliance event.

The system of claim 143 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to use the first feedback to determine the remedial action for the employee of the second retail store, where the remedial action for the employee of the second retail store is different from the remedial action performed by the employee of the first retail store in response to the identified first planogram incompliance event.
146 . A computer program product for processing images captured in multiple retail stores and automatically coordinating actions across two or more retail stores, the computer program product embodied in a non-transitory computer-readable medium and including instructions for causing at least one processor to execute a method comprising:
receiving first image data captured from an environment of a first retail store depicting products displayed on shelves of the first retail store;
analyzing the first image data to identify a first planogram incompliance event associated with at least one shelf of the first retail store;
generating an instruction for an employee of the first retail store to perform a remedial action in response to the identified first planogram incompliance event;
acquiring and storing feedback from the employee of the first retail store regarding the first planogram incompliance event;
receiving second image data captured from an environment of a second retail store depicting products displayed on shelves of the second retail store;
analyzing the second image data to identify a second planogram incompliance event associated with at least one shelf of the second retail store;
determining that the at least one shelf of the second retail store is related to at least one shelf of the first retail store;
accessing the feedback from the employee of the first retail store regarding the first planogram incompliance event associated with the at least one shelf of the first retail store;
using the feedback from the employee of the first retail store in determining what action to take in response to the second planogram incompliance event associated with at least one shelf of the second retail store; and
initiating an action based on the determination.
147 . The computer program product of claim 146 , wherein the first image data includes images acquired by a plurality of image sensors fixedly mounted on at least one retail shelving unit of the first retail store.
148 . The computer program product of claim 147 , wherein the feedback from the employee of the first retail store is acquired from additional image data captured by the plurality of image sensors fixedly mounted on the at least one retail shelving unit of the first retail store.
149 . The computer program product of claim 146 , wherein the employee of the first retail store is a robot.

The computer program product of claim 146 , wherein determining that the at least one shelf of the second retail store is related to the at least one shelf of the first retail store includes determining that products of a same product type are placed on the at least one shelf of the first retail store and also on the at least one shelf of the second retail store.
151 . The computer program product of claim 146 , wherein identifying at least one of the first planogram incompliance event and the second planogram incompliance event includes a detection of a number of products of a particular product type falling below a predetermined threshold.
152 . The computer program product of claim 151 , wherein the remedial action in response to the identified first planogram incompliance event includes restocking at least part of a shelf with products of the particular product type.
153 . The computer program product of claim 151 , wherein the feedback acquired from the employee of the first retail store regarding the first planogram incompliance event includes at least one of: an indication of a shortage of products of the particular product type, an indication of a repositioning of the particular product type to a different part of the first retail store, an indication of a removal of the particular product type from the first retail store, an indication of a reduction of a shelf area dedicated to the particular product type in the first retail store, or an indication of a lessening of a requirement related to the particular product type in the first retail store.

The computer program product of claim 146 , wherein identifying at least one of the first planogram incompliance event and the second planogram incompliance event includes identifying a shelf label related to a particular product type indicating an incorrect detail for the particular product type.
155 . The computer program product of claim 154 , wherein the remedial action in response to the identified first planogram incompliance event includes modifying the label.
156 . The computer program product of claim 154 , wherein the feedback from the employee of the first retail store regarding the first planogram incompliance event includes at least one of: an indication of a price change for the particular product type, an indication of a promotion of the particular product type, and an indicator of misplaced label.
157 . The computer program product of claim 146 , wherein identifying at least one of the first planogram incompliance event and the second planogram incompliance event includes identifying products of a particular product type in an unexpected location within the retail store.
158 . The computer program product of claim 157 , wherein the feedback from the employee of the first retail store regarding the first planogram incompliance event includes an indication that the products of the particular product type are rightfully placed in the unexpected position.
159 . The computer program product of claim 146 , wherein identifying at least one of the first planogram incompliance event and the second planogram incompliance event includes a failure to identify at least one product in the retail store.
160 . The computer program product of claim 146 , wherein the method further comprises:
determining whether a type of the first planogram incompliance event is the same as a type of the second planogram incompliance event;
in response to a determination that the type of the first planogram incompliance event is the same as the type of the second planogram incompliance event, generating, an instruction for an employee of the second retail store to perform a remedial action in response to the identified second planogram incompliance event; and
in response to a determination that the type of the first planogram incompliance event differs from the type of the second planogram incompliance event, forgoing generation of the instruction for the employee of the second retail store to perform a remedial action in response to the identified second planogram incompliance event.
161 . A method for processing images captured in multiple retail stores and automatically coordinating actions across two or more retail stores, the method comprising:
receiving first image data captured from an environment of a first retail store depicting products displayed on shelves of the first retail store;
analyzing the first image data to identify a first planogram incompliance event associated with at least one shelf of the first retail store;
generating an instruction for an employee of the first retail store to perform a remedial action in response to the identified first planogram incompliance event;
acquiring and storing feedback from the employee of the first retail store regarding the first planogram incompliance event;
receiving second image data captured from an environment of a second retail store depicting products displayed on shelves of the second retail store;
analyzing the second image data to identify a second planogram incompliance event associated with at least one shelf of the second retail store;
determining that the at least one shelf of the second retail store is related to with the at least one shelf of the first retail store;
accessing the feedback from the employee of the first retail store regarding the first planogram incompliance event associated with the at least one shelf of the first retail store;
using the feedback from the employee in determining what action to take in response to the second planogram incompliance event associated with at least one shelf of the second retail store; and
initiating an action based on the determination.
