Abstract

Applying funds is disclosed. A set of interfaces for configuring filtering criteria and receiving user configurations of the filtering criteria is displayed. Fund information pertaining to a fund that is to be applied to one or more receivables under an insurance policy account is received. A set of eligible receivables is identified based on filtering information included in the fund information and a set of preconfigured filtering criteria. A set of ranked receivable partitions to which the fund is applied is established based on a set of preconfigured priority criteria and using the fund information and information associated with the set of eligible receivables. The fund is applied to the ranked receivables partitions according to the rankings.

Claims (45)

1. A system, comprising:

a memory configured to:

store a plurality of preconfigured filters, wherein each preconfigured filter is associated with corresponding filter code and a corresponding filter label representation; and

store a plurality of preconfigured comparators, wherein each preconfigured comparator is associated with corresponding comparator code and a corresponding comparator label representation;

a user interface configured to:

present, to a user, filter label representations corresponding to at least some of the preconfigured filters;

receive, from the user, a selection of at least one filter label representation from the presented filter label representations;

present, to the user, comparator label representations corresponding to at least some of the preconfigured comparators; and

receive, from the user, a sorted selection of at least some of the presented comparator label representations, wherein a relative priority of the selected comparator label representations is determined based at least in part on a relative arrangement, by the user, of the selected comparator label representations within the user interface; and

a processor configured to:

generate a fund allocation plan based at least in part on the selection of the at least one filter label representation and the sorted selection of the at least some of the presented comparator label representations;

store the fund allocation plan as a template in a plurality of stored fund allocation plan templates; and

assign the fund allocation plan template to an insurance policy or an insurance policy account.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein filter code corresponding to the selected at least one filter label representation is executed at allocation time.

3. The system of claim 1 , wherein a preconfigured filter corresponding to one of the selected at least one filter label representation is used to determine whether a receivable is to be included or excluded in an eligible set of receivables.

4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the selected at least one filter representation corresponds to a delinquency provision filter.

5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the relative arrangement, by the user, of the selected comparator label representations within the user interface is used to rank receivables in a set of eligible receivables.

6. The system of claim 1 , wherein a preconfigured comparator comprises a set of conditions usable to determine whether the comparator is to be applied at allocation time.

7. The system of claim 1 , wherein preconfigured comparators corresponding to the selected comparator label representations are used to generate a decision tree that is used to compartmentalize a set of eligible receivables.

8. A method, comprising:

storing a plurality of preconfigured filters, wherein each preconfigured filter is associated with corresponding filter code and a corresponding filter label representation;

storing a plurality of preconfigured comparators, wherein each preconfigured comparator is associated with corresponding comparator code and a corresponding comparator label representation;

presenting, to a user via a user interface, filter label representations corresponding to at least some of the preconfigured filters;

receiving, from the user, a selection of at least one filter label representation from the presented filter label representations;

presenting, to the user, comparator label representations corresponding to at least some of the preconfigured comparators;

receiving, from the user, a sorted selection of at least some of the presented comparator label representations, wherein a relative priority of the selected comparator label representations is determined based at least in part on a relative arrangement, by the user, of the selected comparator label representations within the user interface;

generating a fund allocation plan based at least in part on the selection of the at least one filter label representation and the sorted selection of the at least some of the presented comparator label representations;

storing the fund allocation plan as a template in a plurality of stored fund allocation plan templates; and

assigning the fund allocation plan template to an insurance policy or an insurance policy account.

9. The method of claim 8 , wherein filter code corresponding to the selected at least one filter label representation is executed at allocation time.

10. The method of claim 8 , wherein a preconfigured filter corresponding to one of the selected at least one filter label representation is used to determine whether a receivable is to be included or excluded in an eligible set of receivables.

11. The method of claim 8 , wherein the selected at least one filter representation corresponds to a delinquency provision filter.

12. The method of claim 8 , wherein the relative arrangement, by the user, of the selected comparator label representations within the user interface is used to rank receivables in a set of eligible receivables.

13. The method of claim 8 , wherein a preconfigured comparator comprises a set of conditions usable to determine whether the comparator is to be applied at allocation time.

14. The method of claim 8 , wherein preconfigured comparators corresponding to the selected comparator label representations are used to generate a decision tree that is used to compartmentalize a set of eligible receivables.

15. A computer program product embodied in a non-transitory computer readable storage medium, and comprising computer instructions for:

storing a plurality of preconfigured filters, wherein each preconfigured filter is associated with corresponding filter code and a corresponding filter label representation;

storing a plurality of preconfigured comparators, wherein each preconfigured comparator is associated with corresponding comparator code and a corresponding comparator label representation;

presenting, to a user via a user interface, filter label representations corresponding to at least some of the preconfigured filters;

receiving, from the user, a selection of at least one filter label representation from the presented filter label representations;

presenting, to the user, comparator label representations corresponding to at least some of the preconfigured comparators;

receiving, from the user, a sorted selection of at least some of the presented comparator label representations, wherein a relative priority of the selected comparator label representations is determined based at least in part on a relative arrangement, by the user, of the selected comparator label representations within the user interface;

generating a fund allocation plan based at least in part on the selection of the at least one filter label representation and the sorted selection of the at least some of the presented comparator label representations;

storing the fund allocation plan as a template in a plurality of stored fund allocation plan templates; and

assigning the fund allocation plan template to an insurance policy or an insurance policy account.
