Abstract

A first base station receives, from a second base station, one or more first parameters identifying a first plurality of time intervals as a listen-before-talk (LBT) time interval of the second base station. The first base station selects a second plurality of time intervals as an LBT time intervals based on the one or more first parameters. The first base station transmits, to a wireless device, at least one radio resource control message comprising one or more second parameters identifying the second plurality of time intervals as LBT time intervals. The first base station transmits, in response to an LBT procedure indicating a clear channel, a burst to the wireless device, the burst configured to begin in a time interval identified as an LBT time interval.

Claims (41)

1. A method comprising:

receiving, by a first base station from a second base station, one or more first parameters identifying a first plurality of time intervals as first listen-before-talk (LBT) time intervals of the second base station;

selecting, by the first base station and based on the one or more first parameters, a second plurality of time intervals as second LBT time intervals of the first base station;

transmitting, by the first base station to a wireless device, at least one radio resource control message comprising one or more second parameters identifying the second plurality of time intervals as the second LBT time intervals; and

in response to an LBT procedure indicating a clear channel, transmitting a burst to the wireless device, the burst configured to begin in a time interval identified as an LBT time interval of the second LBT time intervals.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more first parameters comprise a bitmap.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second plurality of time intervals are associated with a licensed assisted access (LAA) cell.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more first parameters indicate a periodic pattern for the second plurality of time intervals.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one radio resource control message comprises a second parameter indicating a maximum duration for the burst.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one radio resource control message comprises one or more LBT parameters.

7. The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting, by the first base station to the second base station, one or more third parameters identifying the second plurality of time intervals as the second LBT time intervals of the first base station.

8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the one or more third parameters comprise a bitmap.

9. The method of claim 8 , wherein the second plurality of time intervals are associated with a licensed assisted access cell.

10. The method of claim 9 , wherein the one or more third parameters indicate a periodic pattern for the second plurality of time intervals.

11. A base station comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed, cause the base station to:

receive, from a second base station, one or more first parameters identifying a first plurality of time intervals as first listen-before-talk (LBT) time intervals of the second base station;

select, based on the one or more first parameters, a second plurality of time intervals as second LBT time intervals of the base station;

transmit, to a wireless device, at least one radio resource control message comprising one or more second parameters identifying the second plurality of time intervals as the second LBT time intervals; and

in response to an LBT procedure indicating a clear channel, transmit a burst to the wireless device, the burst configured to begin in a time interval identified as an LBT time interval of the second LBT time intervals.

12. The base station of claim 11 , wherein the one or more first parameters comprise a bitmap.

13. The base station of claim 11 , wherein the second plurality of time intervals are associated with a licensed assisted access (LAA) cell.

14. The base station of claim 11 , wherein the one or more first parameters indicate a periodic pattern for the second plurality of time intervals.

15. The base station of claim 11 , wherein the at least one radio resource control message comprises a second parameter indicating a maximum duration for the burst.

16. The base station of claim 11 , wherein the at least one radio resource control message comprises one or more LBT parameters.

17. The base station of claim 11 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the base station to transmit, to the second base station, one or more third parameters identifying the second plurality of time intervals as the second LBT time intervals of the base station.

18. The base station of claim 17 , wherein the one or more second parameters comprise a bitmap.

19. The base station of claim 18 , wherein the second plurality of time intervals are associated with a licensed assisted access cell.

20. A system comprising:

a base station comprising:

one or more first processors; and

first memory storing first instructions that, when executed by the one or more first processors, cause the base station to:

receive, from a second base station, one or more first parameters identifying a first plurality of time intervals as first listen-before-talk (LBT) time intervals of the second base station;

select, based on the one or more first parameters, a second plurality of time intervals as second LBT time intervals of the base station; and

transmit at least one radio resource control message comprising one or more second parameters identifying the second plurality of time intervals as the second LBT time intervals; and

a wireless device comprising:

one or more second processors; and

second memory storing second instructions that, when executed by the one or more second processors, cause the wireless device to:

receive the at least one radio resource control message; and

monitor a channel in a starting time interval of a burst, wherein the burst is configurable to begin in the starting time interval based on the starting time interval being identified as an LBT time interval of the second LBT time intervals.
