Abstract

Images capture an object that a person in a frictionless store is looking at. A user interface is automatically initiated on a device identified as the object. If the person is holding an item, the user interface is automatically placed in a state that displays the item details and pricing within the user interface and provides a link to all item descriptions in possession of the user within the frictionless store along with a running price total of all the items. If the person is not holding any item, the user interface is automatically placed in a state that displays item details and pricing within the user interface to all item descriptions in possession of the user within the frictionless store along with a running price of all items.

initiating an interface on a display of the device based on the determining without any interaction of the consumer with the interface or the device that the consumer is looking at the display while holding the item.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein tracking further includes identifying the consumer as a registered consumer from the images.

3. The method of claim 2 , wherein identifying further includes obtaining an account profile associated with the registered consumer.

4. The method of claim 3 , wherein obtaining further includes obtaining a device identifier for the device from the account profile.

5. The method of claim 4 , wherein monitoring further includes using the device identifier to communicate with the device.

6. The method of claim 5 , wherein using further includes rendering the interface on the device.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein tracking further includes linking the consumer to a shopping cart being maintained for the consumer within the store as the consumer picks items for purchase.

8. The method of claim 7 , wherein initiating further includes presenting transaction details for the shopping cart within the interface on the display of the device.

monitoring a consumer shopping within a store from images captured by cameras of the store;

maintaining transaction information for a transaction of the consumer based on items placed by the consumer in a bag or cart and identified from the images;

determining that the consumer is holding a particular item;

determining that consumer is looking at a display of a device;

identifying the device and obtaining a device identifier for the device; and

presenting at least a portion of the transaction information on a display of the device using the device identifier based on the determining that the consumer is holding the particular item and is looking at the display without any interaction of the consumer with an interface of the device.

11. The method of claim 10 , wherein identifying further includes identifying the device from the images as a consumer device registered to the consumer.

12. The method of claim 10 , wherein identifying further includes identifying the device based on a current location calculated from the consumer within the store from the images.

13. The method of claim 10 , wherein identifying further includes identifying the device as a stationary inquiry station located within the store that the consumer is standing in front of based on the images.

14. The method of claim 10 , wherein identifying further includes identifying the device as a transaction terminal of the store where the consumer is ready to check out for the transaction.

15. The method of claim 10 , wherein presenting further includes initiating a user interface on the device and presenting a summary of the transaction information within the user interface.

16. The method of claim 10 , wherein presenting further includes initiating a user interface on the device and presenting particular item information for the particular item that the consumer is identified as holding from the images within the user interface.

17. The method of claim 16 , wherein initiating further includes presenting detailed transaction information for the items in the bag or the cart within the user interface for the transaction based on user interaction with the user interface.

18. A system, comprising:

cameras situated through a store to capture images;

a server comprising a processor and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium;

the non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprises executable instructions; and

the executable instructions when executed by the processor from the non-transitory computer-readable storage medium cause the processor to perform operations, comprising:

tracking and monitoring a consumer within the store through the images;

maintaining item information for items in possession of the consumer while within the store as a transaction of the consumer with the store based on the tracking;

determining when the consumer is looking at a display of a device while the consumer is holding a particular item based on the tracking;

identifying the device and obtaining a device identifier for the device; and

presenting the item information corresponding to the particular item on the display of the device using the device identifier and based on the determining without any interaction by the consumer with an interface of the device based on a determination that the customer is looking at the display of the device while holding the particular item.
