Abstract

A building management system includes (i) one or more building systems including equipment configured to serve one or more spaces in a building and (ii) one or more circuits. The one or more circuits are configured to receive an input to invoke a control strategy to modify a condition of the one or more spaces; define an output of the control strategy where the output relates to a modification that impacts at least one of a location, an equipment type, or a point type; perform a query to identify one or more points associated with the output where the one or more points are defined in terms of at least one of the location, the equipment type, or the point type; and automatically modify one or more values of the one or more points to implement the control strategy.

Claims (29)

1. A user interface for a building management system including one or more building systems including one or more pieces of equipment configured to serve one or more spaces in a building, the user interface comprising:

one or more circuits configured to list first items in a results section in response to a search filter, the first items being listed with a space or equipment link, wherein the one or more circuits are configured to allow a user to select one of the first items and (a) provide a single command to a single item based on an operator selecting a selectable link in a value column or (b) provide a bulk command to a plurality of second items of the first items in the results section by selecting one or more of rows associated with the second items, and wherein the one or more circuits are configured to at least one of (i) automatically modify a value of an operational parameter of the equipment or (ii) automatically operate the equipment, based on the single command or the bulk command.

2. The user interface of claim 1 , wherein the one or more circuits are configured to provide a bulk command modal window in response to the operator selecting a bulk command button.

3. The user interface of claim 1 , wherein the one or more circuits are configured to list bulk commands for the second items in a bulk command window.

4. The building management system of claim 1 , wherein the search filter uses at least one of location, equipment type, or point type.

5. The user interface of claim 4 , wherein, when performing a query, the one or more circuits are configured to identify the equipment serving spaces.

6. The user interface of claim 5 , wherein, when performing the query, the one or more circuits are configured to sub-filter the equipment serving a location based on the equipment type to identify a subset of the equipment serving the location.

7. The user interface of claim 6 , wherein, when performing the query, the one or more circuits are configured to identify one or more points of the subset of the equipment associated with the point type.

8. The user interface of claim 7 , wherein, when performing the query, the one or more circuits are configured to normalize values of the one or more points of the subset of the equipment associated with the point type.

9. The user interface of claim 6 , wherein, when performing the query, the one or more circuits are configured to recursively identify any child spaces of the location and identify the equipment serving the child spaces.

10. The user interface of claim 1 , wherein the spaces comprise one or more floors of the building, one or more zones of the building, or one or more rooms of the building.

11. A building management system comprising:

equipment configured to serve a room in a building;

one or more circuits configured to list first items in a results section in response to a search filter, wherein the one or more circuits are configured to allow a user to select one of the first items for a single command to a single item based on an operator selecting a selectable link in a value column or provide a bulk command to a plurality of second items of the first items in the results section by selecting one or more of rows associated with the second items, wherein the one or more circuits are configured to provide a bulk command dialog comprising a value button and an expiration section for the bulk command, and wherein the one or more circuits are configured to at least one of (i) automatically modify a value of an operational parameter of equipment or (ii) automatically operate the operate the equipment based on the single command or the bulk command.

12. The building management system of claim 11 , wherein the one or more circuits provide control for airflow.

13. The building management system of claim 12 , wherein the equipment is a variable airflow box.

14. The building management system of claim 13 , wherein the airflow comprises supply airflow and return airflow.

15. The building management system of claim 11 , wherein the value is for a roof top unit.

16. The building management system of claim 11 , wherein the value is for a sensor.

17. A method for automatically implementing a control strategy, the method comprising:

providing a list first items in a results section in response to a search filter;

selecting one of the first items to provide a single command to a single item;

selecting a bulk command for a plurality of second items of the first items in the results section by selecting one or more of rows associated with the second items; and

modifying a value of an operational parameter of equipment or (ii) operating the equipment based on the single command or the bulk command.

18. The method of claim 17 , wherein the results section is provided via a graphical user interface.

19. The method of claim 18 , further comprising:

providing a space mapping of at least one of one or more spaces associated with the value and the value is related to a variable air volume box for discharge airflow or supply airflow.

20. The method of claim 17 , further comprising:

wherein the equipment is a VAV box.
