Abstract

A base station may transmit, to a wireless device, configuration parameters of a downlink control channel. The configuration parameters may indicate features such as a subframe in which the downlink control channel is configured, and a starting symbol, and the base station may use the downlink control channel for transmitting packet scheduling information.

Claims (104)

1. A method comprising:

transmitting, by a base station, configuration parameters of a downlink control channel,

wherein the configuration parameters indicate:

at least one subframe in which the downlink control channel is configured; and

a starting symbol of the downlink control channel,

wherein transmission power in a first-in-time symbol, in the at least one subframe and prior to the starting symbol of the downlink control channel, is zero; and

transmitting, via the downlink control channel, packet scheduling information.

2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting, based on the packet scheduling information, at least one packet.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the packet scheduling information is for transmission of a packet via a downlink data channel.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one subframe comprises a plurality of subframes on a carrier, and wherein in each subframe of the plurality of subframes, transmission power of each symbol, prior to a starting symbol of a corresponding downlink control channel, is zero.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the configuration parameters indicate that in the at least one subframe, a symbol position of the starting symbol of the downlink control channel is the same as a starting position of a downlink data channel associated with the downlink control channel.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the configuration parameters indicate that a downlink data channel, associated with the at least one subframe, begins in time at the first-in-time symbol.

7. A method comprising:

transmitting, by a base station, configuration parameters of a downlink control channel,

wherein the configuration parameters indicate:

at least one time interval in which the downlink control channel is configured; and

a starting symbol of the downlink control channel in the at least one time interval,

wherein transmission power in a first-in-time symbol, in the at least one time interval and prior to the starting symbol of the downlink control channel, is zero; and

transmitting, via the downlink control channel, packet scheduling information.

8. The method of claim 7 , further comprising transmitting, based on the packet scheduling information, at least one packet.

9. The method of claim 7 , wherein the packet scheduling information is for transmission of a packet via a downlink data channel.

10. The method of claim 7 , wherein the at least one time interval comprises a plurality of time intervals on a carrier, and wherein in each time interval of the plurality of time intervals, transmission power of each symbol, prior to a starting symbol of a corresponding downlink control channel, is zero.

11. The method of claim 7 , wherein the configuration parameters indicate that in the at least one time interval, a symbol position of the starting symbol of the downlink control channel is the same as a starting position of a downlink data channel associated with the downlink control channel.

12. The method of claim 7 , wherein the configuration parameters indicate that a downlink data channel, associated with the at least one time interval, begins in time at the first-in-time symbol.

13. A base station comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors,

configure the base station to:

transmit configuration parameters of a downlink control channel, wherein the configuration parameters indicate:

at least one subframe in which the downlink control channel is configured; and

a starting symbol of the downlink control channel,

wherein transmission power in a first-in-time symbol, in the at least one subframe and prior to the starting symbol of the downlink control channel, is zero; and

transmit, via the downlink control channel, packet scheduling information.

14. The base station of claim 13 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further configure the base station to transmit, based on the packet scheduling information, at least one packet.

15. The base station of claim 13 , wherein the packet scheduling information is for transmission of a packet via a downlink data channel.

16. The base station of claim 13 , wherein the at least one subframe comprises a plurality of subframes on a carrier, and wherein in each subframe of the plurality of subframes, transmission power of each symbol, prior to a starting symbol of a corresponding downlink control channel, is zero.

17. The base station of claim 13 , wherein the configuration parameters indicate that in the at least one subframe, a symbol position of the starting symbol of the downlink control channel is the same as a starting position of a downlink data channel associated with the downlink control channel.

18. The base station of claim 13 , wherein the configuration parameters indicate that a downlink data channel, associated with the at least one subframe, begins in time at the first-in-time symbol.

19. A base station comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors,

configure the base station to:

transmit configuration parameters of a downlink control channel, wherein the configuration parameters indicate:

at least one time interval in which the downlink control channel is configured; and

a starting symbol of the downlink control channel in the at least one time interval,

wherein transmission power in a first-in-time symbol, in the at least one time interval and prior to the starting symbol of the downlink control channel, is zero; and

transmit, via the downlink control channel, packet scheduling information.

20. The base station of claim 19 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further configure the base station to transmit, based on the packet scheduling information, at least one packet.

21. The base station of claim 19 , wherein the packet scheduling information is for transmission of a packet via a downlink data channel.

22. The base station of claim 19 , wherein the at least one time interval comprises a plurality of time intervals on a carrier, and wherein in each time interval of the plurality of time intervals, transmission power of each symbol, prior to a starting symbol of a corresponding downlink control channel, is zero.

23. The base station of claim 19 , wherein the configuration parameters indicate that in the at least one time interval, a symbol position of the starting symbol of the downlink control channel is the same as a starting position of a downlink data channel associated with the downlink control channel.

24. The base station of claim 19 , wherein the configuration parameters indicate that a downlink data channel, associated with the at least one time interval, begins in time at the first-in-time symbol.

25. A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that,

when executed, configure a base station to:

transmit configuration parameters of a downlink control channel, wherein the configuration parameters indicate:

at least one subframe in which the downlink control channel is configured; and

a starting symbol of the downlink control channel,

wherein transmission power in a first-in-time symbol, in the at least one subframe and prior to the starting symbol of the downlink control channel, is zero; and

transmit, via the downlink control channel, packet scheduling information.

26. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 25 , wherein the instructions, when executed, further configure the base station to transmit, based on the packet scheduling information, at least one packet.

27. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 25 , wherein the packet scheduling information is for transmission of a packet via a downlink data channel.

28. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 25 , wherein the at least one subframe comprises a plurality of subframes on a carrier, and wherein in each subframe of the plurality of subframes, transmission power of each symbol, prior to a starting symbol of a corresponding downlink control channel, is zero.

29. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 25 , wherein the configuration parameters indicate that in the at least one subframe, a symbol position of the starting symbol of the downlink control channel is the same as a starting position of a downlink data channel associated with the downlink control channel.

30. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 25 , wherein the configuration parameters indicate that a downlink data channel, associated with the at least one subframe, begins in time at the first-in-time symbol.

31. A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that,

when executed, configure a base station to:

transmit configuration parameters of a downlink control channel, wherein the configuration parameters indicate:

at least one time interval in which the downlink control channel is configured; and

a starting symbol of the downlink control channel in the at least one time interval,

wherein transmission power in a first-in-time symbol, in the at least one time interval and prior to the starting symbol of the downlink control channel, is zero; and

transmit, via the downlink control channel, packet scheduling information.

32. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 31 , wherein the instructions, when executed, further configure the base station to transmit, based on the packet scheduling information, at least one packet.

33. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 31 , wherein the packet scheduling information is for transmission of a packet via a downlink data channel.

34. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 31 , wherein the at least one time interval comprises a plurality of time intervals on a carrier, and wherein in each time interval of the plurality of time intervals, transmission power of each symbol, prior to a starting symbol of a corresponding downlink control channel, is zero.

35. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 31 , wherein the configuration parameters indicate that in the at least one time interval, a symbol position of the starting symbol of the downlink control channel is the same as a starting position of a downlink data channel associated with the downlink control channel.

36. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 31 , wherein the configuration parameters indicate that a downlink data channel, associated with the at least one time interval, begins in time at the first-in-time symbol.

37. A system comprising:

a base station and a wireless device,

wherein the base station is configured to:

transmit configuration parameters of a downlink control channel, wherein the configuration parameters indicate:

at least one subframe in which the downlink control channel is configured; and

a starting symbol of the downlink control channel,

wherein transmission power in a first-in-time symbol, in the at least one subframe and prior to the starting symbol of the downlink control channel, is zero; and

transmit, via the downlink control channel, packet scheduling information, and

wherein the wireless device is configured to receive the packet scheduling information.

38. The system of claim 37 , wherein the base station is further configured to transmit, based on the packet scheduling information, at least one packet.

39. The system of claim 37 , wherein the packet scheduling information is for transmission of a packet via a downlink data channel.

40. The system of claim 37 , wherein the at least one subframe comprises a plurality of subframes on a carrier, and wherein in each subframe of the plurality of subframes, transmission power of each symbol, prior to a starting symbol of a corresponding downlink control channel, is zero.

41. The system of claim 37 , wherein the configuration parameters indicate that in the at least one subframe, a symbol position of the starting symbol of the downlink control channel is the same as a starting position of a downlink data channel associated with the downlink control channel.

42. The system of claim 37 , wherein the configuration parameters indicate that a downlink data channel, associated with the at least one subframe, begins in time at the first-in-time symbol.

43. A system comprising:

a base station and a wireless device,

wherein the base station is configured to:

transmit configuration parameters of a downlink control channel, wherein the configuration parameters indicate:

at least one time interval in which the downlink control channel is configured; and

a starting symbol of the downlink control channel in the at least one time interval,

wherein transmission power in a first-in-time symbol, in the at least one time interval and prior to the starting symbol of the downlink control channel, is zero; and

transmit, via the downlink control channel, packet scheduling information, and

wherein the wireless device is configured to receive the packet scheduling information.

44. The system of claim 43 , wherein the base station is configured to transmit, based on the packet scheduling information, at least one packet.

45. The system of claim 43 , wherein the packet scheduling information is for transmission of a packet via a downlink data channel.

46. The system of claim 43 , wherein the at least one time interval comprises a plurality of time intervals on a carrier, and wherein in each time interval of the plurality of time intervals, transmission power of each symbol, prior to a starting symbol of a corresponding downlink control channel, is zero.

47. The system of claim 43 , wherein the configuration parameters indicate that in the at least one time interval, a symbol position of the starting symbol of the downlink control channel is the same as a starting position of a downlink data channel associated with the downlink control channel.

48. The system of claim 43 , wherein the configuration parameters indicate that a downlink data channel, associated with the at least one time interval, begins in time at the first-in-time symbol.
