Abstract

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to customizing an electronic survey using social networking information. One or more embodiments of a survey system receive social networking information associated with a respondent from a third-party social networking system in connection with a request to provide a survey to a client device of the respondent. One or more embodiments of the survey system use the social networking information to determine a plurality of survey questions for the electronic survey. Additionally, one or more embodiments of the survey generate a customized electronic survey to include the plurality of survey questions and then provide the customized survey to the respondent's client device.

8. The computer-implemented method as recited in claim 1 , wherein determining the plurality of electronic survey questions for the second portion of the dynamic electronic survey comprises:

analyzing the respondent information to determine a characteristic of the respondent; and

generating, for the dynamic electronic survey, an electronic survey question comprising a question prompt or one or more answer options based on the characteristic of the respondent.

9. A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause a computer device to:

receive a request to provide a dynamic electronic survey from an electronic survey system to a client device associated with a respondent, wherein the dynamic electronic survey comprises a first portion and a second portion;

provide, to the client device associated with the respondent in response to the request, the first portion of the dynamic electronic survey comprising a first electronic survey question requesting access to respondent information associated with the respondent on a third-party system;

access the respondent information at the third-party system in response to receiving permission to access the respondent information according to the first electronic survey question, wherein the third-party system is separate from the electronic survey system;

receive the respondent information from the third-party system;

generate a new survey question based on the respondent information received from the third-party system;

determine a plurality of electronic survey questions for the second portion of the dynamic electronic survey based on the respondent information received from the third-party system, wherein the plurality of electronic survey questions comprises the new survey question;

generate the second portion of the dynamic electronic survey comprising the plurality of electronic survey questions; and

provide the second portion of the dynamic electronic survey to the client device associated with the respondent.

10. The non-transitory computer readable medium as recited in claim 9 , wherein the instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the computer device to determine a question flow indicating an order of the plurality of electronic survey questions in the second portion of the dynamic electronic survey based at least in part on the respondent information received from the third-party system.

11. The non-transitory computer readable medium as recited in claim 9 , wherein the instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the computer device to:

identify a plurality of default electronic survey questions for the dynamic electronic survey; and

modify the plurality of default electronic survey questions by adding an electronic survey question to the plurality of default electronic survey questions or removing an electronic survey question from the plurality of default electronic survey questions.

12. The non-transitory computer readable medium as recited in claim 9 , wherein the instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the computer device to:
