Abstract

An operation method of a first terminal in a communication system is provided. The method includes configuring sidelink (SL) bandwidth parts (BWPs) used for groupcast sidelink communication and transmitting a configuration information message including configuration information of the SL BWPs to participating terminals participating in the groupcast sidelink communication. The groupcast sidelink communication is performed with the participating terminals using one or more SL BWPs among the SL BWPs. In response to determining that reconfiguration of the SL BWPs is necessary, the SL BWPs are reconfigured and a reconfiguration information message including reconfiguration information of the SL BWPs is transmitted to the participating terminals.

Claims (34)

1. An operation method of a terminal in a communication system, comprising:

transmitting, by a processor included in the terminal, a first message requesting information necessary for configuring a sidelink (SL) bandwidth part (BWP) used for groupcast sidelink communication to two or more participating terminals;

receiving, by the processor, first capability information in response to the first message from a first participating terminal among the two or more participating terminals, the first capability information including capability information of the first participating terminal;

receiving, by the processor, second capability information in response to the first message from a second participating terminal among the two or more participating terminals, the second capability information including capability information of the second participating terminal;

configuring, by the processor, the SL BWP for the groupcast sidelink communication between the terminal and the first and second participating terminals based on the first capability information and the second capability information;

transmitting, by the processor, a second message including configuration information of the SL BWP for the groupcast sidelink communication between the terminal and the first and second participating terminals to the first and second participating terminals; and

performing, by the processor, the groupcast sidelink communication with the first and second participating terminals using the SL BWP.

2. The operation method according to claim 1 , wherein the first message is transmitted through a default SL BWP preconfigured between the terminal and the first and second participating terminals.

3. The operation method according to claim 1 , wherein the SL BWP is configured within a frequency range or candidate SL BWPs configured by a base station.

4. The operation method according to claim 1 , wherein transmission data characteristics or channel states of the first and second participating terminals are additionally considered to configure the SL BWP.

5. The operation method according to claim 1 , wherein each of the first capability information and the second capability information includes at least one of frequency information, a maximum transmission power, quality information, or size of transmission data.

6. An operation method of a first participating terminal in a communication system, comprising:

receiving, by a processor included in the first participating terminal, a first message requesting information necessary for configuring a sidelink (SL) bandwidth part (BWP) used for groupcast sidelink communication from a terminal;

transmitting, by the processor, first capability information of the first participating terminal in response to the first message to the terminal;

receiving, by the processor, a second message including configuration information of the SL BWP for the groupcast sidelink communication between the terminal and two or more participating terminals from the terminal, the two or more participating terminals including the first participating terminal and a second participating terminal, and the SL BWP being configured based on capability information of the two or more participating terminals; and

performing, by the processor, the groupcast sidelink communication with the terminal using the SL BWP.

7. The operation method according to claim 6 , wherein the first message is received through a default SL BWP preconfigured between the first participating terminal and the terminal.

8. The operation method according to claim 6 , wherein the SL BWP is configured within a frequency range or candidate SL BWPs configured by a base station.

9. The operation method according to claim 6 , wherein transmission data characteristics or channel states of the two or more participating terminal are additionally considered to configure the SL BWP.

10. The operation method according to claim 6 , wherein the capability information includes at least one of frequency information, a maximum transmission power, quality information, or size of transmission data.

11. A terminal in a communication system, the terminal comprising:

a processor; and

a memory configured to store at least one instruction executable by the processor,

wherein the at least one instruction causes the processor to:

transmit a first message requesting information necessary for configuring a sidelink (SL) bandwidth part (BWP) used for groupcast sidelink communication to two or more participating terminals;

receive first capability information in response to the first message from a first participating terminal among the two or more participating terminals, the first capability information including capability information of the first participating terminal;

receive second capability information in response to the first message from a second participating terminal among the two or more participating terminals, the second capability information including capability information of the second participating terminal;

configure the SL BWP for the groupcast sidelink communication between the terminal and the first and second participating terminals based on the first capability information and the second capability information;

transmit a second message including configuration information of the SL BWP for the groupcast sidelink communication between the terminal and the first and second participating terminals to the first and second participating terminals; and

perform the groupcast sidelink communication with the first and second participating terminals using the SL BWP.

12. The terminal according to claim 11 , wherein the first message is transmitted through a default SL BWP preconfigured between the terminal and the first and second participating terminals.

13. The terminal according to claim 11 , wherein the SL BWP is configured within a frequency range or candidate SL BWPs configured by a base station.

14. The terminal according to claim 11 , wherein transmission data characteristics or channel states of the first and second participating terminals are additionally considered to configure the SL BWP.

15. The terminal according to claim 11 , wherein each of the first capability information and the second capability information includes at least one of frequency information, a maximum transmission power, quality information, or size of transmission data.
