Abstract

Systems and methods to generate records within a collaboration environment are described herein. Exemplary implementations may perform one or more of: manage environment state information maintaining a collaboration environment; obtain input information defining digital assets representing sets of content input via a user interface; generate content information characterizing the sets of content represented in the digital assets; generate individual records based on the content information; and/or other operations.

Claims (68)

1. A system configured to generate work unit records within a collaboration environment, the system comprising:

one or more physical processors configured by machine-readable instructions to:

manage environment state information maintaining a collaboration environment, the collaboration environment being configured to facilitate interaction by users with the collaboration environment, the environment state information including work unit records, the work unit records including work information characterizing units of work created, managed, and/or assigned within the collaboration environment to the users who are expected to accomplish one or more actions to complete the units of work, the work information comprising values of work unit parameters characterizing the units of work;

obtain input information defining digital assets representing sets of content input via a user interface, wherein the input information defines a first digital asset input into the user interface, the first digital asset representing a first set of content;

in response to obtaining the input information, generate content information characterizing the sets of content represented in the digital assets, such that responsive to obtaining the input information defining the first digital asset, generate first content information characterizing the first set of content;

generate individual ones of the work unit records based on the content information, the individual ones of the work unit records being generated by determining sets of values for the work unit parameters from characterization of the sets of content represented in the digital assets, including generating a first work unit record based on the first content information, the first work unit record including a first set of values for the work unit parameters determined from the characterization of the first set of content;

wherein the first set of values for the work unit parameters includes one or more of a first value for a title parameter, a second value of a work assignment parameter, and/or a third value for a due date parameter; and

wherein the first set of values for the work unit parameters includes the second value of the work assignment parameter, the second value specifying a first user who input the first digital asset or an other user associated with the first user.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein:

the digital assets include document files, and the sets of content include text comprising words and/or phrases;

generating the content information includes performing natural language processing on the text; and

generating the individual ones of the work unit records based on the content information includes specifying individual values in the sets of values for the work unit parameters based on the words and/or phrases.

3. The system of claim 1 , wherein:

the digital assets include image files, and the sets of content include visual content;

generating the content information includes performing feature detection on the visual content to characterize features in the visual content; and

generating the individual ones of the work unit records based on the content information includes specifying individual values in the sets of values for the work unit parameters based on the features in the visual content.

4. The system of claim 1 , wherein:

the digital assets include video files, and the sets of content include visual content and audio content;

generating the content information includes performing feature detection on the visual content to characterize features in the visual content and speech processing on the audio content to characterize user utterances in the audio content; and

generating the individual ones of the work unit records based on the content information includes specifying individual values in the sets of values for the work unit parameters based on the features in the visual content and the user utterances in the audio content.

The system of claim 1 , wherein the content information that triggers generation of the individual ones of the work unit records includes one or more triggers, such that the individual ones of the work unit records are generated based on identifying one or more of the triggers included in the sets of content.

6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the content information characterizing the sets of content represented in the digital assets includes context information specifying context of the digital assets, the context including one or more users linked to individual ones of the digital assets.

7. The system of claim 6 , wherein the one or more physical processors are further configured by the machine-readable instructions to:

identify individual ones of the one or more users linked to the digital assets;

obtain user records for the individual ones of the one or more users; and

generate the individual ones of the work unit records further based on the user records.

8. The system of claim 1 , wherein the other user includes a user of a given role.

9. A system configured to generate work unit records within a collaboration environment, the system comprising:

one or more physical processors configured by machine-readable instructions to:

manage environment state information maintaining a collaboration environment, the collaboration environment being configured to facilitate interaction by users with the collaboration environment, the environment state information including work unit records, the work unit records including work information characterizing units of work created, managed, and/or assigned within the collaboration environment to the users who are expected to accomplish one or more actions to complete the units of work, the work information comprising values of work unit parameters characterizing the units of work;

obtain input information defining digital assets representing sets of content input via a user interface, wherein the input information defines a first digital asset input into the user interface, the first digital asset representing a first set of content;

in response to obtaining the input information, generate content information characterizing the sets of content represented in the digital assets, such that responsive to obtaining the input information defining the first digital asset, generate first content information characterizing the first set of content;

generate individual ones of the work unit records based on the content information, the individual ones of the work unit records being generated by determining sets of values for the work unit parameters from characterization of the sets of content represented in the digital assets, including generating a first work unit record based on the first content information, the first work unit record including a first set of values for the work unit parameters determined from the characterization of the first set of content;

wherein the first set of values for the work unit parameters includes one or more of a first value for a title parameter, a second value of a work assignment parameter, and/or a third value for a due date parameter; and

wherein the first set of values for the work unit parameters includes the third value for the due date parameter, the third value specifying a date that is relative to a date the first digital asset was input into the user interface.

10. A method to generate work unit records within a collaboration environment, the method comprising:

managing environment state information maintaining a collaboration environment, the collaboration environment being configured to facilitate interaction by users with the collaboration environment, the environment state information including work unit records, the work unit records including work information characterizing units of work created, managed, and/or assigned within the collaboration environment to the users who are expected to accomplish one or more actions to complete the units of work, the work information comprising values of work unit parameters characterizing the units of work;

obtaining input information defining digital assets representing sets of content input via a user interface, wherein the input information defines a first digital asset input into the user interface, the first digital asset representing a first set of content;

in response to obtaining the input information, generating content information characterizing the sets of content represented in the digital assets, including responsive to obtaining the input information defining the first digital asset, generating first content information characterizing the first set of content;

generating individual ones of the work unit records based on the content information, the individual ones of the work unit records being generated by determining sets of values for the work unit parameters from characterization of the sets of content represented in the digital assets, including generating a first work unit record based on the first content information, the first work unit record including a first set of values for the work unit parameters determined from the characterization of the first set of content;

wherein the first set of values for the work unit parameters includes one or more of a first value for a title parameter, a second value of a work assignment parameter, and/or a third value for a due date parameter; and

wherein the first set of values for the work unit parameters includes the second value of the work assignment parameter, the second value specifying a first user who input the first digital asset, or an other user associated with the first user.

11. The method of claim 10 , wherein:

the digital assets include document files, and the sets of content include text comprising words and/or phrases;

the generating the content information includes performing natural language processing on the text; and

the generating the individual ones of the work unit records based on the content information includes specifying individual values in the sets of values for the work unit parameters based on the words and/or phrases.

12. The method of claim 10 , wherein:

the digital assets include image files, and the sets of content include visual content;

the generating the content information includes performing feature detection on the visual content to characterize features in the visual content; and

the generating the individual ones of the work unit records based on the content information includes specifying individual values in the sets of values for the work unit parameters based on the features in the visual content.

13. The method of claim 10 , wherein:

the digital assets include video files, and the sets of content include visual content and audio content;

the generating the content information includes performing feature detection on the visual content to characterize features in the visual content and speech processing on the audio content to characterize user utterances in the audio content; and

the generating the individual ones of the work unit records based on the content information includes specifying individual values in the sets of values for the work unit parameters based on the features in the visual content and the user utterances in the audio content.

The method of claim 10 , wherein the content information that triggers generation of the individual ones of the work unit records includes one or more triggers, such that the individual ones of the work unit records are generated based on identifying one or more of the triggers included in sets of content.

15. The method of claim 10 , wherein the content information characterizing the sets of content represented in the digital assets includes context information specifying context of the digital assets, the context including one or more users linked to individual ones of the digital assets.

16. The method of claim 15 , further comprising:

identifying individual ones of the one or more users linked to the digital assets;

obtaining user records for the individual ones of the one or more users; and

generating the individual ones of the work unit records further based on the user records.

17. The method of claim 10 , wherein the other user includes a user of a given role.

18. A method to generate work unit records within a collaboration environment, the method comprising:

managing environment state information maintaining a collaboration environment, the collaboration environment being configured to facilitate interaction by users with the collaboration environment, the environment state information including work unit records, the work unit records including work information characterizing units of work created, managed, and/or assigned within the collaboration environment to the users who are expected to accomplish one or more actions to complete the units of work, the work information comprising values of work unit parameters characterizing the units of work;

obtaining input information defining digital assets representing sets of content input via a user interface, wherein the input information defines a first digital asset input into the user interface, the first digital asset representing a first set of content;

in response to obtaining the input information, generating content information characterizing the sets of content represented in the digital assets, including responsive to obtaining the input information defining the first digital asset, generating first content information characterizing the first set of content;

generating individual ones of the work unit records based on the content information, the individual ones of the work unit records being generated by determining sets of values for the work unit parameters from characterization of the sets of content represented in the digital assets, including generating a first work unit record based on the first content information, the first work unit record including a first set of values for the work unit parameters determined from the characterization of the first set of content;

wherein the first set of values for the work unit parameters includes one or more of a first value for a title parameter, a second value of a work assignment parameter, and/or a third value for a due date parameter; and

wherein the first set of values for the work unit parameters includes the third value for the due date parameter, the third value specifying a date that is relative to a date the first digital asset was input into the user interface.
