Container with magnetic cap
A container having a canister can be configured to retain a volume of liquid. The canister can be sealed by a lid structure, and the lid structure can have a spout opening. The spout opening may be sealed by a removably-coupled cap. Further, the cap may have a magnetic top surface configured to magnetically couple to a recess on the top surface of the lid for temporary storage of the cap when manually removed from the spout opening.
1. A container, comprising:
a canister comprising:
a double wall structure comprising:
an inner wall;
an outer wall;
a first end, configured to support the canister on a surface; and
a second end;
an opening in the second end extending through the double wall structure; and
a neck structure encircling the opening and extending in an axial direction;
a lid adapted to seal the opening, the lid comprising:
a threaded sidewall configured to be received into the neck structure;
a top surface with a spout, wherein the spout extends from the top surface of the lid; and
a sealed cavity spaced between the top surface and a bottom surface of the lid,
wherein the spout extends through the sealed cavity between the top surface and the bottom surface of the lid;
a cap adapted to resealably seal the spout;
a tether connected between the cap and an anchor point on the lid; and
a carry handle, rotatably coupled to a cylindrical sidewall of the lid, wherein when the lid is coupled to the neck structure, the carry handle can rotate through at least 220°.
2. The container of claim 1 , wherein the tether is configured to prevent separation of the cap from the lid when the cap is decoupled from the spout.
3. The container of claim 1 , wherein the cap and the tether are formed from a polymer material.
4. The container of claim 1 , wherein the spout is off-centered on the top surface.
5. The container of claim 1 , wherein the spout further comprises an annular ridge on a cylindrical outer wall of the spout.
6. The container of claim 1 , wherein the spout further comprises a threaded cylindrical outer wall configured to interface with a threaded inner surface of the cap.
7. The container of claim 1 , wherein the threaded sidewall of the lid is configured to screw onto a threaded inner surface of the neck structure.
8. The container of claim 7 , wherein the threaded sidewall extends to a depth greater than an external height of the neck structure.
9. The container of claim 1 , wherein the double wall structure comprises a sealed vacuum cavity between the inner wall and the outer wall.
10. The container of claim 1 , wherein the inner wall comprises a dome portion.
11. The container of claim 1 , wherein the outer wall comprises a seam proximate the first end.
12. The container of claim 1 , wherein the carry handle comprises a grip structure and wherein the grip structure is a sleeve and wherein the grip structure has a larger diameter than the carry handle.
13. The container of clam 1 , wherein the anchor point comprises an integrally formed U-shaped connector.
14. A container, comprising:
a bottom portion, comprising:
a first end configured to support the container on a surface, wherein the first end has a first outer diameter;
a second end having an opening, wherein the opening has a second outer diameter smaller than the first outer diameter;
a cylindrical wall spaced between the first end and the second end, wherein an outer diameter of the cylindrical wall tapers from the first outer diameter to the second outer diameter along a shoulder region of the cylindrical wall; and
a neck structure encircling the opening and extending in an axial direction;
a lid adapted to resealably seal the opening, the lid comprising:
a threaded sidewall configured to be received into the neck structure;
a top surface;
a spout with a spout opening, wherein the spout extends from the top surface of the lid; and
a sealed cavity spaced between the top surface and a bottom surface of the lid, wherein the spout extends through the sealed cavity between the top surface and the bottom surface of the lid;
a cap adapted to resealably seal the spout opening; and
a carry handle, rotatably coupled to a cylindrical sidewall of the lid, wherein when the lid is coupled to the neck structure, the carry handle can rotate through at least 220°.
15. The container of claim 14 , further comprising a tether connected between the cap and an anchor point on the lid.
16. The container of claim 15 , wherein the tether is formed from a polymer material and the tether is connected to the lid by an integrally formed U-shaped connector.
17. The container of claim 15 , wherein the threaded sidewall extends to a depth greater than an external height of the neck structure.
18. The container of claim 14 , wherein the carry handle comprises a polymeric grip.
19. The container of claim 14 , wherein an interior portion comprises a dome portion.
20. The container of claim 14 , further comprising an outer wall comprising a seam.
21. The container of claim 14 , wherein the carry handle comprises a grip structure and wherein the grip structure is a sleeve and wherein the grip structure has a larger diameter than the carry handle.
22. A container, comprising:
a canister comprising:
a double wall structure formed of an inner wall and an outer wall comprising:
a first end, configured to support the canister on a surface; and
a second end;
an opening in the second end extending through the double wall structure; and
a neck structure encircling the opening and extending in an axial direction; and
a lid adapted to seal the opening, the lid comprising:
a threaded sidewall configured to be received into the neck structure, wherein the threaded sidewall extends to a depth greater than an external height of the neck structure;
a top surface, comprising:
a spout on the top surface;
a removable cap adapted to resealably seal the spout; and
a tether connected between the removable cap and an anchor point on the lid, wherein the tether is connected to the lid by the anchor point and wherein the anchor point comprises an integrally formed U-shaped connector; and
a sealed cavity spaced between the top surface and a bottom surface of the lid, wherein the spout extends through the sealed cavity between the top surface and the bottom surface of the lid.
23. The container of claim 22 , wherein the tether is formed from a polymer material and configured to retain the removable cap when decoupled from the spout.
24. The container of claim 22 , further comprising a carry handle, rotatably coupled to a cylindrical sidewall of the lid.
25. The container of claim 24 , wherein when the lid is coupled to the neck structure, the carry handle can rotate through at least 220°.
26. The container of claim 24 , wherein the carry handle further comprises a polymeric grip.
27. The container of claim 24 , wherein the carry handle comprises a grip structure and wherein the grip structure is a sleeve and wherein the grip structure has a larger diameter than the carry handle.
28. The container of claim 22 , wherein the inner wall comprises a dome portion.
29. The container of claim 22 , wherein the outer wall comprises a seam.
