12. The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the at least one defined network protocol is configured to facilitate transmission of fifth generation (5G) cellular communication, or short range wireless or ultrawideband communications.

13. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the at least one controller is configured to receive information from a remote site that is remote from the building, wherein the information includes software and/or data, wherein the at least one controller is operatively coupled to the remote site.

14. The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the at least one controller is configured to install and/or store the information on a first data storage device using a building data communications network.

15. The apparatus of claim 14 , wherein the building data communications network comprises a plurality of processors disposed at the building and a plurality of data storage devices disposed within the building, the plurality data storage devices including the first data storage device.

16. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the one or more communications interfaces interface with at least one data processor of the one or more other communications networks.

17. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the smart object is depicted on the three-dimensional building model based on a physical location of the at least one other IGU.

18. A non-transitory computer readable program instructions for transmitting power and data in a building, the program instructions, when read by one or more processors operatively coupled to a building network, cause the one or more processors to execute one or more operations comprising using, or directing usage of, the building network, wherein:

the building network includes (i) a communication network that comprises a cable, and (ii) a power distribution system comprising a plurality of power transmission paths connecting one or more power sources, the cable configured to transmit electrical power and communication, and the communication network comprising one or more communications interfaces to the one or more processors and/or one or more other communications networks;

at least one display is communicatively coupled to the building network and disposed on and/or registered with an insulated glass unit (IGU) and configured to display a graphical user interface comprising a three-dimensional building model depicting at least one smart object on the three-dimensional building model; wherein the at least one smart object is configured to control at least one other IGU; and
