Abstract

An LED lighting device is disclosed. The example LED lighting device includes at least one LED circuit having at least two LEDs, where an LED of the at least two LEDs is configured to emit a different color temperature of white light than at least one other LED of the at least two LEDs. The example LED lighting device also includes a switch directly connected to the at least one LED circuit and configured to be manually switched by a user to change the color temperature of white light that is emitted from the at least one LED circuit. Switching the switch changes the color temperature of light emitted from the at least one LED circuit by dimming or increasing a brightness of the LED that is configured to emit the different color temperature of white light than the at least one other LED of the at least two LEDs.

Claims (36)

1. An LED lighting device comprising:

at least one LED circuit having at least two LEDs that emit a color temperature of white light, wherein a first LED of the at least two LEDs is configured to emit a different color temperature of white light than a second LED of the at least two LEDs;

4. The LED lighting device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one LED circuit and the switch are mounted on a single substrate.

5. The LED lighting device of claim 1 , wherein the switch is configured to turn on or turn off the first LED that emits light of the different color temperature of white light.

6. The LED lighting device of claim 1 , further comprising a sensor electrically coupled to the at least one LED circuit, wherein the at least one LED circuit is configured to additionally change the color temperature in response to an output from the sensor.

7. An LED lighting device comprising:

at least one LED circuit having at least two LEDs that emit a color temperature of white light, wherein an LED of the at least two LEDs is configured to emit a different color temperature of white light than at least one other LED of the at least two LEDs;

a switch directly connected to the at least one LED circuit via at least one of (i) at least one resistor, or (ii) at least one transistor, the switch configured to be manually switched by a user to change the color temperature of white light that is emitted from the at least one LED circuit, wherein switching the switch changes the color temperature of light emitted from the at least one LED circuit by increasing a brightness of the LED that is configured to emit the different color temperature of white light than the at least one other LED of the at least two LEDs; and

a housing configured to include the at least one LED circuit and the switch,

wherein the at least one of (i) the at least one resistor or (ii) the at least one transistor is configured to cause the LED of the at least two LEDs to begin emitting light at a first voltage and cause the at least one other LED of the at least two LEDs to begin emitting light at a second voltage that is greater than the first voltage, and

wherein the lighting device is configured to receive an AC voltage input from a mains power source.

8. The LED lighting device of claim 7 , wherein the housing has at least one lens.

9. The LED lighting device of claim 8 , wherein the housing is configured to provide heat sinking to the at least one LED circuit.

10. The LED lighting device of claim 7 , wherein the at least one LED circuit and the switch are mounted on a single substrate.

11. The LED lighting device of claim 7 , wherein the switch is configured to turn on or turn off the LED that emits light of the different color temperature of white light.

12. The LED lighting device of claim 7 , further comprising a sensor electrically coupled to the at least one LED circuit, wherein the at least one LED circuit is configured to additionally change the color temperature in response to an output from the sensor.

13. An LED lighting device comprising:

at least one LED circuit having at least two LEDs that emit a color temperature of white light, wherein an LED of the at least two LEDs is configured to emit a different color temperature of white light than at least one other LED of the at least two LEDs;

a switch directly connected to the at least one LED circuit via at least one of (i) at least one resistor, or (ii) at least one transistor, the switch configured to be manually switched by a user to change the color temperature of white light that is emitted from the at least one LED circuit, wherein switching the switch changes the color temperature of light emitted from the at least one LED circuit by one of either dimming or increasing a brightness of the LED that is configured to emit the different color temperature of white light than the at least one other LED of the at least two LEDs; and

a housing configured to include the at least one LED circuit and the switch,

wherein the at least one of (i) the at least one resistor or (ii) the at least one transistor is configured to cause the LED that is configured to emit the different color temperature of white light to begin emitting light at a first voltage and cause the at least one other LED of the at least two LEDs to begin emitting light at a second voltage that is greater than the first voltage, and
