Abstract

A display device includes a display panel; a front cover including a front part covering an edge of a front surface of the display panel, a side part extended from the front part and covering a side surface of the display panel, and a guide protruded from the side part and contacting the side surface of the display panel; wherein the guide extends in a direction in parallel with the side surface of the display panel, and wherein a gap is formed between the guide and the side part of the front cover.

Claims (104)

1. A display device comprising:

a display panel; and

a cover including a side part covering a side surface of the display panel, and a guide protruded from the side part to the side surface of the display panel,

wherein the guide extends in a direction in parallel with the side surface of the display panel and both ends of the guide are rounded,

wherein a gap is formed between the guide and the side part of the cover, and

wherein the both ends of the guide are apart from the side surface of the display panel and a central portion of the guide between the both ends contacts the side surface of the display panel.

2. The display device of claim 1 , further comprising:

a frame including a rear part positioned at a rear of the display panel and a supporting part extended from the rear part and supporting a rear surface of the display panel; and

a back cover positioned at the rear of the frame and coupled to the cover,

wherein the cover is coupled to the frame.

3. The display device of claim 2 , wherein the cover includes a front part covering an edge of a front surface of the display panel,

wherein the frame includes a first hole facing the front part, and

wherein the cover includes a hook portion positioned between the side surface of the display panel and the side part, protruding rearward from the front part, and passing through the first hole.

4. The display device of claim 3 , further comprising an optical sheet including a second hole facing the first hole, the optical sheet being positioned between the display panel and the frame,

wherein the hook portion passes through the second hole.

5. The display device of claim 3 , further comprising a reflective sheet including a third hole facing the first hole, the reflective sheet being positioned between the display panel and the frame,

wherein the hook portion passes through the third hole.

6. The display device of claim 2 , wherein the cover includes a fourth hole formed in a second side part of the cover, and

wherein the frame includes:

a third side part extended rearward from the supporting part, facing the second side part of the cover, and adjacent to the second side part; and

a protrusion protruding from the third side part toward the second side part of the cover and inserted into the fourth hole.

7. The display device of claim 1 , wherein the guide and the side part of the cover are integrally formed.

8. The display device of claim 1 , wherein the cover includes a front part covering an edge of a front surface of the display panel,

wherein the front part includes:

a first part including a groove and a pad fixed to the groove; and

a second part bent rearward from the first part, and

wherein the side part is extended from the second part.

9. The display device of claim 6 , wherein the frame includes a fifth hole formed in the supporting part, and

wherein the cover includes a rib protruding rearward from the first part and inserted into the fifth hole.

10. The display device of claim 6 , wherein the cover includes a latching jaw protruding from the second side part of the cover to an outside of the second side part of the cover, and

wherein the back cover includes:

a third part facing the frame;

a fourth part extended forward from the third part; and

a hook protruding from the fourth part to an inside of the fourth part and catching on the latching jaw.

11. The display device of claim 6 , wherein the cover includes a second latching jaw protruding from the second side part of the cover to an inside of the second side part of the cover, and

wherein the back cover includes:

a third part facing the frame;

a fourth part extended forward from the third part; and

a second hook protruding from the fourth part to an inside of the fourth part and catching on the second latching jaw.

12. The display device of claim 11 , wherein the frame includes an opening formed in the third side part, and

wherein the second latching jaw is positioned in the opening.

13. A display device comprising:

a display panel;

a cover including a side part covering a side surface of the display panel, and a guide protruding from the side part to the side surface of the display panel; and

a frame including a rear part positioned at a rear of the display panel, a supporting part extended from the rear part and supporting a rear surface of the display panel, and a vertical part bent from the supporting part,

wherein the cover includes a coupling slot into which a part of the vertical part inserted such that the cover is coupled to the frame, and

wherein the coupling slot is opposite to the side surface of the display panel with respect to the guide of the cover.

14. The display device of claim 13 , wherein the cover includes a front part covering an edge of a front surface of the display panel and a pad positioned between the front part of the cover and the front surface of the display panel, and the pad is fixed to the front part of the cover,

wherein the cover includes a groove formed on the front part of the cover and facing the display panel, and

wherein the pad is accommodated in the groove.

15. The display device of claim 14 , wherein the front part of the cover includes:

a first part including the pad; and

a second part obliquely extended from the first part, and

wherein the side part of the cover extends from a rear surface of the front part of the cover.

16. The display device of claim 13 , wherein the coupling slot of the cover is formed at the side part of the cover, and

wherein the frame includes:

the vertical part facing the side part of the cover, and adjacent to the side part; and

a protrusion protruding from the part of the vertical part and inserted into the coupling slot.

17. The display device of claim 16 , wherein the cover includes a latching jaw protruding from a side part of the cover, and

wherein the back cover includes:

a flat portion facing the frame;

an inclined portion extended forward from the flat portion;

a vertical portion extended from the inclined portion and facing the vertical part of the frame; and

a hook protruding from the vertical portion of the back cover and catching on the latching jaw.

18. The display device of claim 13 , further comprising a back cover positioned at a rear of the frame and coupled to the cover.

19. A display device comprising:

a display panel;

a cover including a horizontal part adjacent to an edge of the display panel and a vertical part extended rearward from the horizontal part;

a frame at a rear of the display panel, the frame coupled with the cover; and

an optical sheet between the frame and the display panel, the optical sheet including a hole adjacent to an edge of the optical sheet,

wherein the frame includes a rear part at a rear of the display panel, a supporting part extended from the rear part and supporting a rear surface of the optical sheet, and a side part bent rearward and extended from the supporting part such that the side part of the frame faces the vertical part of the cover,

wherein the cover includes a latch extended from an inner surface of the horizontal part of the cover toward the frame such that the latch is inserted into the hole of the optical sheet,

wherein a protrusion formed at the side part of the frame is inserted into a first hole formed at the vertical part of the cover, and

wherein a second hole formed at the vertical part of the cover is aligned with a third hole formed at the side part of the frame.

20. The display device of claim 19 , wherein a protrusion formed at the vertical part of the cover corresponds to an opening formed at a corner area formed by the supporting part and the side part of the frame.

21. The display device of claim 19 , wherein the optical sheet includes an ear extended from an edge of the optical sheet such that the hole of the optical sheet is formed in the ear of the optical sheet.

22. The display device of claim 19 , wherein the protrusion of the side part of the frame protrudes from the side part of the frame toward the vertical part of the cover, and

wherein a width of the protrusion of the side part of the frame is gradually narrow from the side part of the frame toward the vertical part of the cover.

The display device of claim 19 , wherein the protrusion of the side part of the frame is formed by a part of the side part of the frame being depressed toward the vertical part of the cover such that the protrusion of the side part of the frame is inserted into the first hole of the vertical part of the cover.

24. The display device of claim 19 , wherein the first hole at the vertical part of the cover is elongated in a lengthwise direction of the vertical part of the cover, and

wherein the second hole has a circular shape corresponding to a third hole at the side part of the frame.

25. The display device of claim 19 , wherein a cut-out hole formed at a corner formed by the supporting part and the side part of the frame, and

wherein a protrusion protruding from the horizontal part and the vertical part of the cover is inserted into the cut-out hole of the frame such that the cover is aligned with the frame.

26. A display device comprising:

a display panel;

a cover including a horizontal part adjacent to an edge of the display panel and a vertical part extended rearward from the horizontal part;

a frame at a rear of the display panel, the frame coupled with the cover; and

an optical sheet between the frame and the display panel,

wherein the frame includes a rear part at a rear of the display panel, a supporting part extended from the rear part and supporting a rear surface of the optical sheet, and a side part bent rearward and extended from the supporting part such that the side part of the frame faces the vertical part of the cover,

wherein the cover includes a latch extended from an inner surface of the horizontal part of the cover toward the frame such that the latch is inserted into a slotted hole of the frame,

wherein a protrusion formed at the side part of the frame is inserted into a coupling hole formed at the vertical part of the cover, and

wherein a first hole formed at the vertical part of the cover is aligned with a second hole formed at the side part of the frame.

27. The display device of claim 26 , wherein a protrusion formed at the vertical part of the cover corresponds to an opening formed at a corner area formed by the supporting part and the side part of the frame.

28. The display device of claim 26 , wherein the slotted hole of the frame is formed in the supporting part of the frame adjacent to the side part of the frame.

29. The display device of claim 26 , wherein the latch of the horizontal part of the cover is passing through the slotted hole of the frame.

30. The display device of claim 29 , wherein an edge of the optical sheet is supported by the latch of the horizontal part of the cover such that a position of the optical sheet is arranged on the supporting part of the frame.

31. The display device of claim 26 , wherein the latch of the horizontal part of the cover overlaps with the coupling hole of the vertical part of the cover.

32. The display device of claim 26 , wherein the coupling hole at the vertical part of the cover is elongated in a lengthwise direction of the vertical part of the cover, and

wherein the first hole of the vertical part of the cover has a circular shape corresponding with the second hole of the side part of the frame.

33. The display device of claim 26 , wherein the protrusion of the side part of the frame protrudes from the side part of the frame toward the vertical part of the cover, and

wherein a width of the protrusion of the side part of the frame is gradually narrow from the side part of the frame toward the vertical part of the cover.

34. The display device of claim 26 , wherein the protrusion of the side part of the frame is formed by a part of the side part of the frame being depressed toward the vertical part of the cover such that the protrusion of the side part of the frame is inserted into the coupling hole of the vertical part of the cover.

35. The display device of claim 26 , wherein a cut-out hole formed at a corner formed by the supporting part and the side part of the frame, and

wherein a protrusion protruding from the horizontal part and the vertical part of the cover is inserted into the cut-out hole of the frame such that the cover is aligned with the frame.
