PROSTHETIC HEART VALVE DEVICES AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Prosthetic heart valve devices for percutaneous replacement of native heart valves and associated systems and method are disclosed herein. A prosthetic heart valve device configured in accordance with a particular embodiment of the present technology can include an expandable support having an outer surface and configured for placement between leaflets of the native valve. The device can also include a plurality of asymmetrically arranged arms coupled to the expandable support and configured to receive the leaflets of the native valve between the arms and the outer surface. In some embodiments, the arms can include tip portions for engaging a subannular surface of the native valve.

31 . A delivery system for delivering a prosthetic heart valve device to a native atrioventricular valve having a having a native annulus and native leaflets, the delivery system comprising:
an outer sheath configured to retain a prosthetic heart valve device; and
an inner sheath configured to retain only a portion of the prosthetic heart valve device therein, wherein the inner sheath is slidable relative to the outer sheath,
wherein the outer sheath is configured to be retracted to enable a first portion of the prosthetic heart valve device to radially expand while a second portion of the prosthetic heart valve device is retained within the inner sheath, and
wherein the inner sheath is configured to be retracted to enable a second portion of the prosthetic heart valve device to radially expand.
32 . The delivery system of claim 31 , further comprising:
a middle member disposed within the inner sheath, wherein the middle member is configured to engage the prosthetic heart valve device.
33 . The delivery system of claim 32 , further comprising:
an inner shaft disposed within the middle member.
34 . The delivery system of claim 31 , further comprising:
a prosthetic heart valve device disposed within the outer sheath.
35 . The delivery system of claim 34 , wherein the prosthetic heart valve device includes a support and a plurality of arms extending from an outflow end of the support, wherein the first portion of the prosthetic valve includes in the plurality of arms.
36 . The delivery system of claim 35 , wherein the inner sheath does not retain the plurality of arms therein.
37 . The delivery system of claim 36 , further comprising:
a middle member disposed within the inner sheath, wherein the middle member is configured to engage the support of the prosthetic heart valve device.
38 . The delivery system of claim 37 , further comprising:
an inner shaft disposed within the middle member.
39 . The delivery system of claim 38 , further comprising a tip coupled to a distal end of the inner shaft.
40 . The delivery system of claim 39 , further comprising a guidewire lumen disposed through the inner shaft and the tip.
41 . A delivery system for delivering a prosthetic heart valve device to a native atrioventricular valve having a having a native annulus and native leaflets, the delivery system comprising:
an outer sheath;
an inner sheath slidably disposed within the outer sheath; and
a prosthetic heart valve device including a support, a prosthetic valve disposed within the support, and plurality of arms extending from an outflow end of the support,
wherein the delivery system includes a delivery configuration wherein the prosthetic heart valve device is disposed within the outer sheath in a radially compressed configuration such that the outer sheath covers the plurality of arms and the inner sheath does not cover the plurality of arms,
wherein the delivery system includes a partially deployed configuration wherein the outer sheath is in a retracted position such that the outer sheath does not cover the plurality of arms and the plurality of arms are radially expanded, and the inner sheath covers at least a portion of the support with the support in a radially compressed state,
wherein the delivery system includes a deployed configuration wherein the inner sheath and the outer sheath are retracted such that neither the inner sheath nor the outer sheath covers any portion of the support and the support is radially expanded.
42 . The delivery system of claim 41 , further comprising a middle member slidably disposed within the inner sheath, wherein the middle member is engaged with the prosthetic heart valve device in the delivery configuration.
43 . The delivery system of claim 42 , further comprising an inner shaft disposed within the middle member, wherein the inner shaft extends through the prosthetic heart valve device in the delivery configuration.
44 . The delivery system of claim 43 , wherein the inner shaft defines a guidewire lumen therethrough.
45 . The delivery system of claim 43 , further comprising a tip coupled to a distal end of the inner shaft.
46 . The delivery system of claim 45 , further comprising a guidewire lumen disposed through the inner shaft and the tip.
47 . A method of delivering and deploying a prosthetic heart valve device, the method comprising:
delivering the a prosthetic heart valve device in a radially compressed state within a delivery catheter to a native atrioventricular valve,
wherein the prosthetic heart valve device includes
a support,
a prosthetic valve disposed within the support, and
plurality of arms extending from an outflow end of the support,
wherein the delivery catheter includes
an outer sheath, and
an inner sheath slidably disposed within the outer sheath,
retracting the outer sheath of the delivery catheter to release the arms of the prosthetic heart valve device from the outer sheath, wherein after retracting the outer sheath, at least a portion of the support remains radially compressed within the inner sheath; and
after retracting the outer sheath, retracting the inner sheath of the delivery catheter to release the support of the prosthetic heart valve device, thereby enabling the support to radially expand.
48 . The method of claim 47 , further comprising the support being radially expanded.
49 . The method of claim 48 ,
wherein the delivery catheter further includes an inner shaft and a middle member,
wherein the middle member is slidably disposed within the inner sheath and the inner shaft is slidably disposed within the middle member,
wherein in the delivery configuration, the middle member engages a proximal end of the support,
wherein the support disengages from the middle member during the step of the support being radially expanded.
