Abstract

A system, method and apparatus include generating a building model of a building to be constructed at a construction site, identifying within the building model positional locations for installation of one or more anchor apparatuses within structural elements of the building model, transmitting the building model to a portable computing device at the construction site and identifying the location of the portable computing device to a given positional location. At least the generating, identifying, transmitting and identifying steps are implemented via at least one processing device comprising a processor and a memory.

Claims (52)

1. An anchoring system for installation in a support, which comprises:

one or more anchoring apparatuses, including:

a locking member configured for securement relative to a form board used to form a concrete support;

a coupler segment mountable relative to the locking member and defining a central opening and an internal thread circumscribing the central opening;

an anchor including an anchor segment at a first end for being embedded in the concrete support and a connector segment including an external thread configured to threadably engage with the internal thread of the coupler segment to releasably secure the coupler segment and the anchor; and

a cover mounted to the anchor and movable for positioning over at least the locking member, the cover configured to form an internal isolated cavity during pouring of the concrete support to minimize ingress of concrete onto the connector segment of the anchor;

wherein the internal thread of the coupler segment extends to the internal isolated cavity of the cover to enable the external thread of the anchor to pass therethrough to be at least partially disposed within the internal isolated cavity of the cover.

2. An anchoring system for installation in a support, which comprises:

one or more anchoring apparatuses, including:

a locking member configured for securement relative to a form board used to form a concrete support;

an anchor including a connector segment at one end for connecting with a construction tool, the anchor being advanceable through the locking member;

a cover mounted about the anchor and movable for positioning over at least the locking member; and

a coupler mountable to the anchor, the locking member and the coupler include cooperating structure configured to secure the coupler to the locking member;

wherein:

the locking member defines an aperture and at least one keyed slot adjacent the aperture; and

the coupler includes a central segment defining a central opening for receiving the anchor and at least one wing depending from the central segment, the central segment and the at least one wing respectively receivable within the aperture of the locking member and the at least one keyed slot of the locking member when in a first rotational orientation of the coupler and the locking member, whereby relative rotational movement of the coupler and the locking member to a second rotational orientation thereof at least partially secures the coupler to the locking member.

3. The anchoring system according to claim 2 wherein the locking member defines two opposed keyed slots and wherein the coupler includes two opposed wings correspondingly dimensioned to be received within the two opposed keyed slots when in the first rotational orientation of the coupler and the locking member.

4. The anchoring system according to claim 1 wherein the locking member includes the coupler segment, the coupler segment defining the internal thread.

5. The anchoring system according to claim 2 wherein the cover defines a cover passage for reception of the anchor.

6. The anchoring system according to claim 2 wherein the locking member includes at least one fastener opening configured to receive a fastener for securing the locking member to the form board.

7. The anchoring system according to claim 2 including a tool couplable to the anchor.

8. An anchoring system for installation in a support, which comprises:

at least one anchoring apparatus, including:

a locking member configured for securement relative to a form board used to form a concrete support;

an elongate anchor including a connector segment at one end for connecting with a construction tool;

a coupler mounted to the elongate anchor, the coupler manipulable to be coupled to the locking member to at least partially secure the elongate anchor to the locking member; and

a cover mounted about the elongate anchor and movable for positioning over the coupler and the locking member, the cover defining a cover passage for reception of the elongate anchor and having an inner thread circumscribing the cover passage, the inner thread configured to cooperate with an external thread of the elongate anchor to advance the cover relative to the elongate anchor.

9. The anchoring system according to claim 8 wherein the locking member includes at least on fastener opening configured to receive a fastener for securing the locking member to the form board.

10. The anchoring system according to claim 8 including a plurality of anchor apparatuses.

11. The anchoring system according to claim 8 wherein the at least one anchoring apparatus comprises indicia or markings configured to facilitate identification of the at least one anchoring apparatus.

12. The anchoring system according to claim 1 including a coupler mountable to the anchor, the coupler having the coupler segment.

13. An anchoring system, which comprises:

one or more anchoring apparatuses for installation in a form used to form a concrete support, including:

an anchor including an anchor segment at a first end for being embedded in the concrete support and a threaded connector segment at a second opposed end;

a cover mounted to the anchor and movable for positioning against the form, the cover configured to form an internal isolated cavity during pouring of the concrete support to minimize ingress of concrete relative to the threaded connector segment of the anchor;

a fastener for securing the cover relative to the form; and

a tool coupled to the threaded connector segment of the anchor and depending in opposition to the anchor segment of the anchor;

wherein the cover includes a cover threaded segment, the cover threaded segment configured to cooperatively engage the threaded connector segment of the anchor to couple the cover and the anchor.

14. An anchoring system, which comprises:

one or more anchoring apparatuses for installation in a form used to form a concrete support, including:

an anchor including an anchor segment at a first end for being embedded in the concrete support and a threaded connector segment at a second opposed end;

a cover mounted to the anchor and movable for positioning against the form, the cover configured to form an internal isolated cavity during pouring of the concrete support to minimize ingress of concrete relative to the threaded connector segment of the anchor;

a fastener for securing the cover relative to the form; and

a tool coupled to the threaded connector segment of the anchor and depending in opposition to the anchor segment of the anchor;

wherein the cover includes a cover passage defining an internal thread, the internal thread configured to cooperatively engage the threaded connector segment of the anchor to couple the cover and the anchor.

15. The anchoring system according to claim 14 wherein the threaded connector segment of the anchor includes an external thread.

16. The anchoring system according to claim 15 wherein the anchor is selectively movable relative to the cover through threaded engagement of the internal thread of the cover and the external thread of the anchor.

17. The anchoring system according to claim 13 wherein the cover is removable from the anchor through release of the cover threaded segment of the cover and the connector threaded connector segment of the anchor.

18. The anchoring system according to claim 14 including:

a locking member configured for securement relative to the form board; and

a coupler mounted to the anchor, the coupler manipulable to be coupled to the locking member to at least partially secure the anchor to the locking member;

wherein the cover is movable along the anchor for positioning over the coupler and the locking member.
