Abstract

The present disclosure is directed to systems, methods and devices for providing real-time translation for group communications. A speech input may be received from a first group communication device associated with a first language. One or more groups to distribute the speech input may be determined, wherein each of the one or more groups comprises at least one group communication device associated with a language that is different than the first language. The received speech input may be translated into a corresponding language for each of the one or more groups, and the translated speech may be sent to each group communication device of the one or more groups in a language corresponding to each of the one or more groups.

21 . A method comprising:

performing real-time translation at a remote management server configured for managing group communications between a plurality of group communication devices, including:

receiving, from a first group communication device, a speech input and a first device identifier for the first group communication device;

accessing an account log associated with the first group communication device, based on the first device identifier, to determine:

a first language preference setting of the first group communication device, and

a plurality of group communication devices to distribute the speech input to;

sorting the group communication devices from the plurality of group communication devices into one or more language groups based on corresponding preferred languages, each group associated with a separate language; and

translating the speech input into a corresponding language for each of the one or more language groups prior to sending a translated speech input to group communication devices in the one or more language groups.

22 . The method of claim 21 further comprising:

registering the first group communication device with the remote management server, including registering the first language preference setting of the first group communication device.

23 . The method of claim 22 further comprising:

registering the first group communication device further includes:

a primary group communication setting identifying a first set of group communication devices including the plurality of group communication devices; and

a secondary group communication setting identifying a second set of group communication devices.

24 . The method of claim 22 further comprising:

determining the plurality of group communication devices includes:

obtaining device identifiers for each of the plurality of group communication devices from the account log associated with the first group communication device; and

accessing an account log associated with each of the plurality of group communication devices to determine the corresponding preferred languages for each of the plurality of group communication devices.

25 . The method of claim 24 further comprising:

the first device identifier includes an IP address associated with the first group communication device.

26 . The method of claim 24 further comprising:

receiving a user selection of a language setting from the first group communication device; and

recording the user selection in the account log as the first language preference setting.

27 . The method of claim 24 further comprising:

performing natural language processing on the speech input;

detecting, based on the natural language processing, a language that the speech input corresponds to; and

storing the language from the natural language processing in the account log as the first language preference setting.

28 . The method of claim 24 further comprising:

translating the speech input further includes:

determining the one or more language groups includes at least one group having a different preferred language than the first language preference setting of the first group communication device; and

providing the speech input to a translation bot to generate the translated speech input into the corresponding language for each of the one or more language groups.

29 . A system comprising:

a remote management server configured to manage group communications between a plurality of group communication devices, including:

a processor configured to executed instructions to perform real-time translation of group communications, including:

receive, from a first group communication device, a speech input and a first device identifier for the first group communication device;

access an account log associated with the first group communication device, based on the first device identifier, to determine:

a first language preference setting of the first group communication device, and

a plurality of group communication devices to distribute the speech input to;

sort the group communication devices from the plurality of group communication devices into one or more language groups based on corresponding preferred languages, each group associated with a separate language; and

translate the speech input into a corresponding language for each of the one or more language groups prior to sending a translated speech input to group communication devices in the one or more language groups.

30 . The system of claim 29 comprising the processor further configured to:

register the first group communication device with the remote management server, including:

the first language preference setting of the first group communication device;

a primary group communication setting identifying a first set of group communication devices including the plurality of group communication devices;

a secondary group communication setting identifying a second set of group communication devices; and

receive an indication with the speech input indicating which of the first set of group communication devices and the second set of group communication devices the speech input is to be transmitted to.

31 . The system of claim 29 , wherein determining the plurality of group communication devices includes the processor further configured to:

obtain device identifiers for each of the plurality of group communication devices from the account log associated with the first group communication device; and

access an account log associated with each of the plurality of group communication devices to determine the corresponding preferred languages for each of the plurality of group communication devices.

32 . The system of claim 29 further comprising the first device identifier includes an IP address associated with the first group communication device.

33 . The system of claim 29 comprising the processor further configured to:

receive a user selection of a language setting from the first group communication device; and

store the user selection in the account log as the first language preference setting.

34 . The system of claim 29 comprising the processor further configured to:

perform natural language processing on the speech input;

detect, based on the natural language processing, a language that the speech input corresponds to; and

store the language detected from the natural language processing in the account log as the first language preference setting.

35 . The system of claim 29 , wherein translating the speech input includes processor further configured to:

determine the one or more language groups includes at least one group having a different preferred language than the first language preference setting of the first group communication device; and

translate the speech input via a translation bot configured to generate the translated speech input into the corresponding language for each of the one or more language groups.

36 . A memory device storing instructions that, when executed, cause a processor to perform a method comprising:

performing real-time translation at a remote management server configured for managing group communications between a plurality of group communication devices, including:

receiving, from a first group communication device, a speech input and a first device identifier for the first group communication device;

accessing an account log associated with the first group communication device, based on the first device identifier, to determine:
