Abstract

[Object] To provide a communication apparatus and a communication method which are capable of suppressing a decrease in communication efficiency in UL communication of a random access scheme. [Solution] Provided is a communication apparatus, including a communication unit configured to transmit a trigger frame including sub area information in which a sub area is specified from a resource area including wireless communication resources selectable as uplink resources and receive a response frame to the trigger frame. Provided is a communication apparatus, including a communication unit configured to receive a trigger frame including sub area information in which a sub area is specified from a resource area including wireless communication resources selectable as uplink resources and transmit a response frame to the trigger frame.

Claims (46)

1. A communication apparatus for wireless communication in a wireless local area network, said communication apparatus comprising circuitry, the circuitry comprises a controller, a memory, a wireless communication interface, and an antenna, the circuitry configured to:

transmit a trigger frame to a plurality of stations, wherein the trigger frame comprises wireless communication resource information specifying uplink resources and frame attribute information related to transmission of response uplink frames, and the wireless communication resource information includes information related to a frequency resource, time and spatial streams;

receive the response uplink frames transmitted as responses to the trigger frame, wherein at least one of the response uplink frames comprises buffered data information, and the response uplink frames are transmitted using at least one resource unit specified in the wireless communication resource information;

transmit an uplink transmission permission frame comprising resource allocation information indicating allocated uplink transmission resources in response to the uplink resource frames comprising the buffered data information; and

receive data frames being transmitted using the allocated uplink data transmission resources in accordance with the uplink transmission permission frame,

wherein the circuitry is configured to determine whether or not permission is given for data transmission of a data size indicated by the buffered data information.

2. The communication apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein the circuitry is configured to allocate the uplink transmission resources in which data transmission of the data size notified through the response uplink frame can be performed based on the buffered data information included in the at least one response uplink frame.

3. The communication apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein the frame attribute information related to the transmission of the response uplink frames comprises attribute information of a transmission apparatus performing the transmission of the response uplink frames.

4. The communication apparatus according to claim 3 ,

wherein the frame attribute information of the transmission apparatus includes information related to a presence or an absence of an uplink communication request.

5. The communication apparatus according to claim 4 ,

wherein the uplink communication request includes at least one of a data transmission request and a communication connection request.

6. The communication apparatus according to claim 5 ,

wherein the response uplink frames comprise information related to content of the uplink communication request.

7. The communication apparatus according to claim 3 ,

wherein the frame attribute information of the transmission apparatus comprises information related to a communication state of the transmission apparatus, and the communication state comprises information related to at least one of a communication quality and information related to a state of a communication channel.

8. The communication apparatus according to claim 7 ,

wherein the response uplink frames comprise information related to a content of the communication state of the transmission apparatus.

9. The communication apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein the frame attribute information related to the transmission of the response uplink frames comprises information related to an attribute of the response uplink frames, and the attribute of the response uplink frames includes a type of frame.

10. The communication apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein the communication resource information comprises information indicating information requested to be stored in the response uplink frame transmitted in response to the trigger frame.

11. A communication apparatus for wireless communication in a wireless local area network, said communication apparatus comprising circuitry, the circuitry comprises a controller, a memory, a wireless communication interface, and an antenna, the circuitry configured to:

receive a trigger frame comprising wireless communication resource information specifying uplink resources and frame attribute information related to transmission of response uplink frames, wherein the wireless communication resource information includes information related to a frequency resource, time and spatial streams;

transmit the response uplink frame as a response to the trigger frame, wherein the response uplink frame comprises buffered data information, and the response uplink frame is transmitted using at least one resource unit specified in the wireless communication resource information;

receive an uplink transmission permission frame comprising resource allocation information indicating allocated uplink transmission resources in response to the uplink resource frame comprising the buffered data information; and

transmit a data frame using the allocated uplink data transmission resources in accordance with the uplink transmission permission frame,

wherein the frame attribute information related to the transmission of the response uplink frames comprises attribute information of the communication apparatus and information related to a presence or an absence of an uplink communication request.

12. The communication apparatus according to claim 11 ,

wherein the frame attribute information related to the transmission of the response uplink frame comprises attribute information of a transmission apparatus performing the transmission of the response uplink frame, and

in a case where the attribute information of the communication apparatus corresponds to the attribute information of the transmission apparatus, the circuitry is configured to transmit the response uplink frame, and

the circuitry is configured to transmit a frame in which an attribute of the frame corresponds to an attribute of the response uplink frame as the response uplink frame.

13. A communication method for wireless communication in a wireless local area network, said communication method comprising:

transmitting a trigger frame to a plurality of stations, wherein the trigger frame comprises wireless communication resource information specifying uplink resources and frame attribute information related to transmission of response uplink frames, and the wireless communication resource information comprises information related to a frequency resource, time and spatial streams;

receiving the response uplink frames being transmitted as responses to the trigger frame, wherein at least one of the response uplink frames comprises buffered data information, and the response uplink frame is transmitted using at least one resource unit specified in the wireless communication resource information;

transmitting an uplink transmission permission frame comprising resource allocation information indicating allocated uplink transmission resources in response to the uplink resource frames comprising the buffered data information;

receiving data frames being transmitted using the allocated uplink data transmission resources in accordance with the uplink transmission permission frame; and

determining whether or not permission is given for data transmission of a data size indicated by the buffered data information.

14. A communication method for wireless communication in a wireless local area network, said communication method comprising:

receiving a trigger frame comprising wireless communication resource information in which resources selectable as uplink resources are specified from a plurality of resources and frame attribute information related to transmission of a response uplink frame, wherein the wireless communication resource information comprises information related to a frequency resource, time and spatial streams;

transmitting the response uplink frame as a response to the trigger frame, wherein the response uplink frame comprises buffered data information, and the response uplink frame is transmitted using at least one resource unit specified in the wireless communication resource information;

receiving an uplink transmission permission frame comprising resource allocation information indicating allocated uplink transmission resources in response to the uplink resource frame comprising the buffered data information; and

transmitting a data frame using the allocated uplink data transmission resources in accordance with the uplink transmission permission frame,

wherein the frame attribute information related to the transmission of the response uplink frames comprises attribute information of a transmission apparatus performing the transmission of the response uplink frames, and the frame attribute information comprises information related to a presence or an absence of an uplink communication request.
