QUICK SWITCHING TO RECEIVE A CALL ON A TV
Methods, systems, and storage media for receiving a call on a television are disclosed. Exemplary implementations may: receive, at a communication device coupled to the television, a call; generate a message comprising details of the call; send, via a wireless link, the message to the television; cause for display, via the television, the details of the call; receive instructions to accept or reject the call; and initiate the call through the television when the call is accepted.
1 . A computer-implemented method for receiving a call on a television, the method comprising:
receiving, at a communication device coupled to the television, a call;
generating a message comprising details of the call;
sending, via a wireless link, the message to the television;
causing for display, via the television, the details of the call;
receiving instructions to accept or reject the call; and
initiating the call through the television when the call is accepted.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the wireless link comprises at least one of WIFI, Bluetooth, ultra-wide band (UWB), and/or Zigbee.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the communication device comprises a webcam, smart speaker, and/or other communication devices.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the television is LAN, WIFI, Bluetooth, ultra-wide band (UWB), and/or Zigbee enabled.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the television listens for messages even if is turned off.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the details comprise metadata regarding the call.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the television turns on upon receiving the message.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the television turns off when the call is rejected.
9 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
tuning an input port of the television to the communication device when the call is accepted.
10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the input port comprises at least one of an HDMI port, AV port, and/or other ports.
11 . A system configured for receiving a call on a television, the system comprising:
one or more hardware processors configured by machine-readable instructions to:
receive, at a communication device coupled to the television, a call;
generate a message comprising details of the call;
send, via a wireless link, the message to the television;
cause for display, via the television, the details of the call;
receive instructions to accept or reject the call; and
initiate the call through the television when the call is accepted.
12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the wireless link comprises at least one of WIFI, Bluetooth, ultra-wide band (UWB), and/or Zigbee.
13 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the communication device comprises a webcam, smart speaker, and/or other communication devices.
14 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the television is LAN, WIFI, Bluetooth, ultra-wide band (UWB), and/or Zigbee enabled.
15 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the television listens for messages even if is turned off.
16 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the details comprise metadata regarding the call.
17 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the television turns on upon receiving the message.
18 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the television turns off when the call is rejected.
19 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the one or more hardware processors are further configured by machine-readable instructions to:
tune an input port of the television to the communication device when the call is accepted, wherein the input port comprises at least one of an HDMI port, AV port, and/or other ports.
20 . A non-transient computer-readable storage medium having instructions embodied thereon, the instructions being executable by one or more processors to perform a method for receiving a call on a television, the method comprising:
receiving, at a communication device coupled to the television, a call;
generating a message comprising details of the call;
sending, via a wireless link, the message to the television;
causing for display, via the television, the details of the call;
receiving instructions to accept or reject the call; and
initiating the call through the television when the call is accepted.
