Abstract

Methods and apparatuses are described herein for selective one-shot hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback by priority level. For example, a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may determine a priority associated with each transport block (TB). The each TB may correspond to respective HARQ processes associated with downlink transmissions from a base station (BS). The WTRU may receive, from the BS, a request for the one-shot HARQ feedback with an indication of a priority selected for the one-shot HARQ feedback. The WTRU may generate a HARQ codebook for transmission of the one-shot feedback. The HARQ codebook may comprise one or more information bits corresponding to one or more TBs determined based on the indicated priority. The WTRU may determine, based on a number of the one or more information bits, a transmission power and transmit, at the transmission power, the one-shot feedback comprising the generated HARQ codebook.

Claims (28)

1. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) comprising:

a processor configured to:

receive configuration information for providing hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback, wherein the configuration information indicates one or more HARQ feedback groups, and wherein each HARQ feedback group is associated with one or more serving cells and one or more HARQ processes;

receive downlink control information (DCI) indicating that the WTRU is to transmit one or more HARQ feedback bits corresponding to a first HARQ feedback group of the one or more HARQ feedback groups; and

transmit a one-shot HARQ feedback transmission, wherein the one-shot HARQ feedback transmission comprises the one or more HARQ feedback bits corresponding to the first HARQ feedback group of the one or more HARQ feedback groups, wherein the first HARQ feedback group is associated with at least a first serving cell and at least a first HARQ process.

2. The WTRU of claim 1 , wherein the configuration information is received in a radio resource control (RRC) message.

3. The WTRU of claim 1 , wherein the configuration information further indicates a respective index for each of the one or more HARQ feedback groups, and wherein the DCI comprises an indication of an index associated with the first group.

4. The WTRU of claim 1 , wherein the DCI comprises an indication that the WTRU is to transmit the one-shot HARQ feedback transmission.

5. The WTRU of claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to construct a dynamic or semi-static HARQ feedback codebook associated with the one-shot HARQ feedback.

6. The WTRU of claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to determine a number of serving cells and a number of HARQ processes associated with each serving cell.

7. The WTRU of claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to determine that the DCI is a non-scheduling DCI.

8. A method implemented in a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), the method comprising:

receiving configuration information for providing hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback, wherein the configuration information indicates one or more HARQ feedback groups, and wherein each HARQ feedback group is associated with one or more serving cells and one or more HARQ processes;

receiving downlink control information (DCI) indicating that the WTRU is to transmit one or more HARQ feedback bits corresponding to a first HARQ feedback group of the one or more HARQ feedback groups; and

transmitting a one-shot HARQ feedback transmission, wherein the one-shot HARQ feedback transmission comprises the one or more HARQ feedback bits corresponding to the first HARQ feedback group of the one or more HARQ feedback groups, wherein the first HARQ feedback group is associated with at least a first serving cell and at least a first HARQ process.

9. The method of claim 8 , wherein the configuration information is received in a radio resource control (RRC) message.

10. The method of claim 8 , wherein the configuration information further indicates a respective index for each of the one or more HARQ feedback groups, and wherein the DCI comprises an indication of an index associated with the first group.

11. The method of claim 8 , wherein the DCI comprises an indication that the WTRU is to transmit the one-shot HARQ feedback transmission.

12. The method of claim 8 , further comprising constructing a dynamic or semi-static HARQ feedback codebook associated with the one-shot HARQ feedback transmission.

13. The method of claim 8 , further comprising determining a number of serving cells and a number of HARQ processes associated with each serving cell.

14. The method of claim 8 , further comprising determining that the DCI is a non-scheduling DCI.

15. A base station comprising:

a processor configured to:

transmit configuration information for providing hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback, wherein the configuration information indicates one or more HARQ feedback groups, and wherein each HARQ feedback group is associated with one or more serving cells and one or more HARQ processes;

transmit downlink control information (DCI) indicating a first HARQ feedback group of the one or more HARQ feedback groups; and

receive a one-shot HARQ feedback transmission, wherein the one-shot HARQ feedback transmission comprises one or more HARQ feedback bits corresponding to the first HARQ feedback group of the one or more HARQ feedback groups, wherein the first HARQ feedback group is associated with at least a first serving cell and at least a first HARQ process.

16. The base station of claim 15 , wherein the configuration information is transmitted in a radio resource control (RRC) message.

17. The base station of claim 15 , wherein the DCI is a non-scheduling DCI.
