Augmented reality numberless transaction card
A method implemented on an augmented reality (AR) electronic device includes receiving a request to activate a transaction card account on a transaction card. The transaction card account is activated on the transaction card. A virtual representation of account information corresponding to the transaction card account is displayed on the AR electronic device. The exterior of the transaction card is free of account identifying information.
1. A method, comprising:
providing a transaction card having an exterior that is free of account identifying information;
activating, with an electronic computing device, one of a plurality of transaction card accounts to provide an activated transaction card account; and
projecting, using the electronic computing device, the account identifying information of the activated transaction card account onto the transaction card,
wherein the electronic computing device includes an augmented reality device.
2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising, prior to the activating, deactivating, with the electronic computing device, another of the plurality of transaction card accounts.
3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the account identifying information includes any account numbers, any card verification value numbers, and any expiration dates.
4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the account identifying information is only visible through the augmented reality device.
5. The method of claim 4 , further comprising, prior to the activating, authenticating a user of the augmented reality device.
6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of transaction card accounts are stored in a system memory of the transaction card.
7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the transaction card includes an account information delivery element.
8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the account information delivery element includes a dynamic magnetic stripe polarized based on the activated transaction card account.
9. The method of claim 1 , wherein the transaction card includes a wireless communication device.
10. The method of claim 9 , wherein the wireless communication device includes one of a passive radio frequency identification (RFID) device, a WiFi-enabled device, or a cellular communications enabled device.
11. The method of claim 10 , wherein the wireless communication device is powered by a battery that is integrated with the transaction card.
12. The method of claim of claim 10 , wherein the wireless communication device is powered by the electronic computing device.
13. The method of claim 12 ,
wherein the transaction card includes a RFID tag; and
wherein the electronic computing device includes a RFID reader configured to read the RFID tag.
14. An electronic computing device, comprising:
one or more processors; and
memory storing instructions which, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the electronic computing device to:
activate one of a plurality of transaction card accounts to provide an activated transaction card account; and
project account identifying information of the activated transaction card account onto a transaction card having an exterior that is free of the account identifying information,
wherein the electronic computing device includes an augmented reality device.
15. The electronic computing device of claim 14 , wherein the account identifying information includes any account numbers, any card verification value numbers, and any expiration dates.
16. The electronic computing device of claim 14 , wherein the electronic computing device powers a battery integrated with the transaction card.
17. The electronic computing device of claim 14 ,
wherein the transaction card includes a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag; and
wherein the electronic computing device includes a RFID reader configured to read the RFID tag.
18. The electronic computing device of claim 14 , wherein the plurality of transaction card accounts are stored in a system memory of the transaction card.
