HYBRID VISUALIZATION OF RETAIL SHELVES
Systems and methods are provided for retail environments. In one implementation, a non transitory computer-readable medium may include instructions that when executed by a processor cause the processor to perform a method. The method may include determining product availability data indicative of an availability of one or more products on at least one retail shelf in a retail store; using the product availability data to generate a synthetic visual representation of the one or more products on the at least one retail shelf; presenting the synthetic visual representation on a display; receiving from a user an input indicative of a selection of at least a portion of the synthetic visual representation; and in response to receiving the input, presenting on the display an actual image corresponding to the selected at least a portion of the synthetic visual representation, wherein the actual image was acquired with an image sensor.

101 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium including instructions that when executed by a processor cause the processor to perform a method for visualization of retail shelves, the method comprising:
determining product availability data indicative of an availability of one or more products on at least one retail shelf in a retail store;
using the product availability data to generate a synthetic visual representation of the one or more products on the at least one retail shelf;
presenting the synthetic visual representation on a display;
receiving from a user an input indicative of a selection of at least a portion of the synthetic visual representation; and
in response to receiving the input, presenting on the display an actual image corresponding to the selected at least a portion of the synthetic visual representation, wherein the actual image was acquired with an image sensor.
102 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 101 , wherein at least a portion of the product availability data is determined based on image analysis of one or more images captured with a camera.
103 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 101 , wherein at least a portion of the product availability data is determined based on information stored in a database.

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 101 , wherein the method further includes determining product-facing information associated with the one or more products on the at least one retail shelf, and wherein the synthetic visual representation conveys the product facing information.

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 101 , wherein the method further includes determining product condition information associated with the one or more products on the at least one retail shelf, and wherein the synthetic visual representation conveys the product condition information.

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 101 , wherein the method further includes determining product arrangement information associated with the one or more products on the at least one retail shelf, and wherein the synthetic visual representation conveys the product arrangement information.

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 101 , wherein the method further includes determining product orientation information associated with the one or more products on the at least one retail shelf, and wherein the synthetic visual representation conveys the product orientation information.
108 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 101 , wherein the product availability data includes a quantity of the one or more products on the at least one retail shelf, and wherein the synthetic visual representation conveys the quantity of the one or more products.

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 101 , wherein the method further includes determining a price of the one or more products on the at least one retail shelf, wherein the synthetic visual representation conveys the price of the one or more products, and wherein the actual image includes a depiction of at least one physical price tag.

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 101 , wherein the product availability data includes a product type associated with the one or more products on the at least one retail shelf, and wherein the synthetic visual representation conveys the product type of the one or more products.
111 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 101 , wherein the synthetic visual representation is generated at least partially using a neural network.
112 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 101 , wherein the actual image is presented on the display in place of the synthetic visual representation.
113 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 101 , wherein the actual image is presented as superimposed on a portion of the synthetic visual representation.
114 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 101 , wherein the input includes a selection of a region of the synthetic visual representation.
115 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 114 , wherein the selected region corresponds to the one or more products.
116 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 114 , wherein the selected region corresponds to the at least one retail shelf.
117 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 101 , wherein the synthetic visual representation is presented to the user via a user interface shown on the display, and wherein the input is received from the user via the user interface.

The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 101 , wherein the synthetic visual representation conveys a progression over time of the product availability data, and wherein the actual image includes a plurality of actual images corresponding to the selected at least a portion of the synthetic visual representation captured at different points in time using the image sensor, the plurality of actual images shows the progression over time of the product availability data.
119 . A system for visualization of retail shelves, the system comprising at least one processor configured to perform the steps of:
determining product availability data indicative of an availability of one or more products on at least one retail shelf in a retail store;
using the product availability data to generate a synthetic visual representation of the one or more products on the at least one retail shelf;
presenting the synthetic visual representation on a display;
receiving from a user an input indicative of a selection of at least a portion of the synthetic visual representation; and
in response to receiving the input, presenting on the display an actual image corresponding to the selected at least a portion of the synthetic visual representation, wherein the actual image was acquired with an image sensor.
120 . A method for visualization of retail shelves, the method comprising:
determining product availability data indicative of an availability of one or more products on at least one retail shelf in a retail store;
using the product availability data to generate a synthetic visual representation of the one or more products on the at least one retail shelf;
presenting the synthetic visual representation on a display;
receiving from a user an input indicative of a selection of at least a portion of the synthetic visual representation; and
in response to receiving the input, presenting on the display an actual image corresponding to the selected at least a portion of the synthetic visual representation, wherein the actual image was acquired with an image sensor.
