Abstract

Unmanned vehicles can be terrestrial, aerial, nautical, or multi-mode. Unmanned vehicles may be used to survey a property in response to or in anticipation of a security threat or damage to the property. For example, an unmanned vehicle may analyze information about the property and based on the information provide graphics and information associated with the surveying of the property.

Claims (34)

1. A security system comprising:

a processor; and

a memory coupled with the processor, the memory having stored thereon executable instructions that when executed by the processor to cause the processor to effectuate operations comprising:

receiving an indication of a detected motion within a structure;

transmitting, to an unmanned vehicle in response to the indication of the detected motion, instructions to identify the cause of the detected motion;

receiving, from the unmanned vehicle, instructions to disregard movement of the unmanned vehicle within the structure; and

disregarding, based on instructions received from the unmanned vehicle, movement of the unmanned vehicle within the structure.

2. The security system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising receiving, from the unmanned vehicle, a notification that the cause of the detected motion is innocuous.

3. The security system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising transmitting a notification that the cause of the detected motion is innocuous, wherein the cause of the detected motion is a pet.

4. The security system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising:

receiving, from the unmanned vehicle, a notification that the cause of the detected motion is unauthorized; and

contacting authorities about the cause of the detected motion.

5. The security system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising transmitting, to the unmanned vehicle, instructions to close a window to enable the security system to be turned on.

6. The security system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising transmitting, to the unmanned vehicle, instructions to close a door.

7. The security system of claim 1 , wherein closing the window enables the security system to be reset.

8. The security system of claim 6 , wherein closing the door enables the security system to be reset.

9. The security system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising transmitting, to the unmanned vehicle, navigational rules for the unmanned vehicle to keep a buffer distance based on a type of object.

10. The security system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising transmitting, to the unmanned vehicle, navigational rules for the unmanned vehicle to keep a buffer distance based on a type of object, wherein a buffer distance for a fragile object is larger than a buffer distance for a durable object.

11. The security system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising transmitting, to the unmanned vehicle, navigational rules for the unmanned vehicle to keep a buffer distance based on a type of object, wherein a buffer distance for a glass object is larger than a buffer distance for a durable object.

12. The security system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising transmitting, to another unmanned vehicle, instructions to cooperatively identify the cause of the detected motion.

13. The security system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising transmitting, to another unmanned vehicle, instructions to identify the cause of the detected motion within the structure instead of the unmanned vehicle.

14. The security system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising transmitting, based on a comparison of the unmanned vehicle and another unmanned vehicle, instructions for identifying the cause of the detected motion within the structure instead of the unmanned vehicle.

15. The security system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising:

generating a heat map that is indicative of the condition of the structure, wherein the heat map is a graphical representation of data based on gathered information about a structure, the graphical representation of data is represented as colors, and the instructions are based on the colors of the heat map.

16. The security system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising:

generating a heat map that is indicative of the condition of the structure, wherein the heat map is a graphical representation of data based on gathered information about a structure, the graphical representation of data is represented as colors, and the instructions comprise surveilling the structure based on the colors of the heat map.

17. The security system of claim 1 , wherein the instructions comprise surveilling the structure based on colors of a heat map associated with valuables within the structure.

18. A method comprising:

receiving, by a security system, an indication of a detected motion within a structure;

transmitting, by the security system to an unmanned vehicle and in response to the indication of the detected motion, instructions to identify the cause of the detected motion;

receiving, by the security system from the unmanned vehicle, instructions to disregard movement of the unmanned vehicle within the structure; and

disregarding, by the security system and based on instructions received from the unmanned vehicle, movement of the unmanned vehicle within the structure.

19. The method of claim 18 , wherein the method further comprises obtaining, by the security system from the unmanned vehicle, a notification that the cause of the detected motion is innocuous.

20. The method of claim 18 , wherein the method further comprises transmitting instructions, by the security system to the unmanned vehicle, to close a window or a door.
