Abstract

A system for adhering tableware or dishware to a table or other support surface, includes tableware or dishware pieces, a supported body having a first ferromagnetic component, and a support body having a second ferromagnetic component to be magnetically attracted to the first ferromagnetic component. The supported body also has a third ferromagnetic component, arranged on the supported body on an opposite side from the first ferromagnetic component, wherein at least one of the plurality of tableware or dishware pieces comprises a fourth ferromagnetic component to be magnetically attracted to the third magnetic component.

Claims (28)

1. A system for adhering tableware or dishware to a table or other support surface, comprising:

a plurality of tableware or dishware pieces;

a supported body having a first magnetic component;

a support body having a first magnetic receptive component to be attracted to the first magnetic component;

the supported body having a second magnetic component, arranged on the supported body on an opposite side from the first magnetic component, wherein at least one of the plurality of tableware or dishware pieces comprises a second magnetic receptive component to be attracted to the second magnetic component.

2. The system according to claim 1 , wherein the first magnetic component comprises a ring-shaped magnet.

3. The system according to claim 1 , wherein the second magnetic component comprises a plurality of spaced-apart magnets.

4. The system according to claim 1 , wherein one of the first magnetic component or the second magnetic component is composed of magnetic particles.

5. The system according to claim 1 , where in the second magnetic component comprises a plurality of spaced-apart magnets; and the first magnetic receptive component comprises a plurality of spaced apart steel discs, arranged in the same pattern as the plurality of spaced-apart magnets.

6. The system according to claim 1 , wherein one of the first and second magnetic receptive components is composed of magnetic receptive particles, diffused into one of the dishware, a pad or the support body.

7. The system according to claim 1 , wherein the support body comprises a placemat.

8. The system according to claim 1 , wherein the support body comprises a table.

9. The system according to claim1 further comprising a removable lip that can be snapped onto a rim of dishware or tableware that has a bowl portion for holding a liquid.

10. The system according to claim 1 , wherein the dishware or tableware comprises drinking glasses or wine glasses.

11. The system according to claim 1 , wherein the dishware or tableware comprises plates or bowls.

12. A system for adhering tableware or dishware to a table or other support surface, comprising:

a plurality of tableware or dishware pieces;

a supported body having a first ferromagnetic component;

a support body having a second ferromagnetic component to be magnetically attracted to the first ferromagnetic component;

the supported body having a third ferromagnetic component, arranged on the supported body on an opposite side from the first ferromagnetic component, wherein at least one of the plurality of tableware or dishware pieces comprises a fourth ferromagnetic component to be magnetically attracted to the third magnetic component.

13. The system according to claim 12 , wherein the first ferromagnetic component comprises a ring-shaped magnet.

14. The system according to claim 12 , wherein the third ferromagnetic component comprises a plurality of spaced-apart magnets.

15. The system according to claim 12 , wherein one of the first ferromagnetic component or the second ferromagnetic component is composed of magnetic particles.

16. The system according to claim 12 , wherein one of the third ferromagnetic component or the fourth ferromagnetic component is composed of magnetic particles.

17. The system according to claim 12 , wherein the support body comprises a placemat.

18. The system according to claim 12 , wherein the support body comprises a table.

19. The system according to claim 12 , wherein the dishware or tableware comprises drinking glasses or wine glasses.

20. The system according to claim 12 , wherein the dishware or tableware comprises plates or bowls.
