Abstract

A method is performed at a mobile device with a display. The method includes displaying a first mode of a plurality of modes of the device. The first mode of the device is active when a first set of time and/or device location criteria are met and the second mode of the device is active when a second set of time and/or device location criteria are met. While the first set of time and/or device location criteria are met and the first mode of the device is active, the mobile device detects a first input that overrides the first mode of the device. In response to detecting the first input, the mobile device activates the second mode of the device. The mobile device detects a second input and, in response to detecting the second input, performs an operation in the second mode of the device.

Claims (41)

1. A computer system, comprising:

a display;

a touch sensitive surface;

one or more processors; and

memory storing one or more programs, wherein the one or more programs are configured to be executed by the one or more processors, the one or more programs including instructions for:

displaying a first user interface, wherein the first user interface includes a first information item;

while displaying the first user interface, including the first information item, detecting a user input at a location corresponding to the first information item; and

in response to detecting the user input at the location corresponding to the first information item:

in accordance with a determination that a first mode, of a plurality of modes, is active for the computer system, displaying first information corresponding to the first information item; and

in accordance with a determination that a second mode, of the plurality of modes, is active for the computer system, displaying second information that is different from the first information, corresponding to the first information item.

2. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the user input is a swipe gesture.

3. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the first information includes first content from a first application, and the second information includes second content, different from the first content, from the first application.

4. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the first information includes content from a first notification and the second information includes content from a second notification different from the first notification.

5. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the first information includes a first application icon for a first application, and the second information includes a second application icon for a second application that is different from the first application.

6. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the first information includes a first set of application icons for a first set of applications, and the second information includes a second set of application icons for a second set of applications, wherein the second set of application icons is different from the first set of application icons, and wherein the second set of applications is different from the first set of applications.

7. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the first information is a first user interface for a first application, and the second information is a second user interface for a second application, different from the first application.

8. A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing one or more programs, the one or more programs comprising instructions that, when executed by a computer system with a display and a touch-sensitive surface, cause the computer system to:

display a first user interface, wherein the first user interface includes a first information item;

while displaying the first user interface, including the first information item, detect a user input at a location corresponding to the first information item;

in response to detecting the user input at the location corresponding to the first information item:

in accordance with a determination that a first mode, of a plurality of modes, is active for the computer system, display first information corresponding to the first information item; and

in accordance with a determination that a second mode, of the plurality of modes, is active for the computer system, display second information that is different from the first information, corresponding to the first information item.

9. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 8 , wherein the user input is a swipe gesture.

10. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 8 , wherein the first information includes first content from a first application, and the second information includes second content, different from the first content, from the first application.

11. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 8 , wherein the first information includes content from a first notification and the second information includes content from a second notification, different from the first notification.

12. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 8 , wherein the first information includes a first application icon for a first application, and the second information includes a second application icon for a second application that is different from the first application.

13. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 8 , wherein the first information includes a first set of application icons for a first set of applications, and the second information includes a second set of application icons for a second set of applications, wherein the second set of application icons is different from the first set of application icons, and wherein the second set of applications is different from the first set of applications.

14. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 8 , wherein the first information is a first user interface for a first application, and the second information is a second user interface for a second application, different from the first application.

15. A method, including:

at a computer system including a display and a touch sensitive surface:

displaying a first user interface, wherein the first user interface includes a first information item;

while displaying the first user interface, including the first information item, detecting a user input at a location corresponding to the first information item;

in response to detecting the user input at the location corresponding to the first information item:

in accordance with a determination that a first mode, of a plurality of modes, is active for the computer system, displaying first information corresponding to the first information item; and

in accordance with a determination that a second mode, of the plurality of modes, is active for the computer system, displaying second information that is different from the first information, corresponding to the first information item.

16. The method of claim 15 , wherein the user input is a swipe gesture.

17. The method of claim 15 , wherein the first information includes first content from a first application, and the second information includes second content, different from the first content, from the first application.
