DUAL TREATMENT OF MIGRAINE
Disclosed is a method of treating migraine in a patient, wherein the method includes administering a CGRP antagonist that is effective for treating acute migraine and prevention of migraine. Also disclosed is a method of prevention of migraine in a patient, wherein the method includes administering a CGRP antagonist that is effective for prevention of migraine and treating acute migraine.

45 . A method of treating and preventing migraine in a patient in need thereof comprising administering to the patient a CGRP antagonist that is effective for both treating acute migraine and prevention of migraine.
46 . The method of claim 45 , wherein the CGRP antagonist is in the form of a composition further comprising at least one pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, a filler, a flavorant, or any combination thereof.
47 . The method of claim 46 , wherein the composition is in a form of an oral solid molded fast-dispersing dosage form.
48 . The method of claim 46 , wherein the at least one pharmaceutically acceptable carrier is gelatin.
49 . The method of claim 46 , wherein the filler is mannitol.
50 . The method of claim 46 , wherein the composition comprises from about 70-80 weight % of the CGRP antagonist, about 10-20 weight % of fish gelatin as the at least one pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, about 10-20 weight % of a filler, and 0.1-5.0 weight % of a flavorant.
51 . The method of claim 45 , wherein the CGRP antagonist is rimegepant.
52 . The method of claim 51 , wherein the rimegepant is in a form of hemisulfate salt.
53 . The method of claim 52 , wherein the rimegepant hemisulfate salt is in the form of sesquihydrate.
54 . The method of claim 51 , wherein the composition comprises 75 mg of rimegepant or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
55 . The method of claim 45 , wherein the composition provides an AUC 0-t of from about 80-125% of 5000 (hr*ng/mL).
56 . The method of claim 45 , wherein the patient experiences less than 15 headache days per month.
57 . The method according to claim 45 , wherein the CGRP receptor antagonist is administered to a patient up to 15 times in a 30-day period.
58 . The method of claim 45 , wherein the CGRP receptor antagonist is administered once a day.
59 . The method of claim 45 , wherein the CGRP receptor antagonist is administered once every other day.
60 . The method of claim 45 , wherein the administration of a CGRP receptor antagonist results in decrease of monthly migraine days by 4.3 days per month after three months of the treatment.
61 . The method of claim 45 , wherein the administration of a CGRP receptor antagonist results in about half of the patients having a 50% or greater reduction in the number of moderate-to-severe migraine days per month.
62 . The method according to claim 45 , wherein about 1.3% or less of patients who received the CGRP receptor antagonist experience nausea.
63 . The method according to claim 45 , wherein about 0.15% or less of patients who received the CGRP receptor antagonist experience hypersensitivity.
64 . The method according to claim 45 , wherein the administration of a CGRP receptor antagonist to a patient results in no constipation in the patient.
