Abstract

This invention is a device which creates adjustable acoustic and/or thermal zones in a bed to address sleep issues such as bed partner snoring and hot flashes. Adjustable acoustic bed zones can be created with a flexible movable partition which longitudinally spans a bed from an arch at the head of the bed to an arch at the foot of the bed. Adjustable thermal bed zones can be created with inflow and outflow flexible longitudinal air tubes which are inserted into a space between layers of bedding.

Claims (37)

1 . A system for improving sleep quality, comprising:

at least one thermoregulated article in communication with a processor;

at least one body sensor configured to generate sensor data and transmit the sensor data to the processor;

wherein the processor includes at least one machine learning module, configured to automatically analyze the sensor data; and

wherein the processor automatically adjusts the temperature of the at least one thermoregulated article based on the sensor data.

2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is a remote server including at least one database, and wherein the at least one database stores data from a plurality of users.

3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one body sensor includes at least one blood pressure sensor, at least one electrocardiogram (ECG) sensor, at least one electroencephalogram (EEG) sensor, at least one skin moisture sensor, at least one oxygen saturation sensor, at least one respiratory sensor, at least one heart rate sensor, at least one skin temperature sensor, and/or at least one microphone.

4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one thermoregulated article includes at least one mattress pad and/or at least one blanket.

5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one thermoregulated article includes at least two temperature zones, and wherein the processor is operable to independently adjust temperatures of each of the at least two temperature zones.

6 . The system of claim 5 , wherein based on the sensor data, the processor automatically determines which of the at least two temperature zones are occupied and selectively adjusts temperatures of the occupied temperature zones.

7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one thermoregulated article includes circulating liquid, and wherein adjustment of the temperature of the at least one thermoregulated article is performed by adjusting a temperature of the circulating liquid.

8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is communication with at least one heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system and wherein the processor automatically adjusts temperature settings of the HVAC system based on the sensor data.

9 . A system for improving sleep quality, comprising:

at least one thermoregulated article in communication with a processor;

at least one body sensor configured to generate sensor data and transmit the sensor data to the processor;

wherein the processor includes at least one machine learning module, configured to automatically analyze the sensor data;

wherein the at least one thermoregulated article includes at least one mattress pad and/or at least one blanket;

wherein the processor automatically adjusts the temperature of the at least one thermoregulated article based on the sensor data; and

wherein the at least one thermoregulated article includes circulating liquid, and wherein adjustment of the temperature of the at least one thermoregulated article is performed by adjusting a temperature of the circulating liquid.

10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the processor is a remote server including at least one database, and wherein the at least one database stores data from a plurality of users.

11 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the at least one body sensor includes at least one blood pressure sensor, at least one electrocardiogram (ECG) sensor, at least one electroencephalogram (EEG) sensor, at least one skin moisture sensor, at least one oxygen saturation sensor, at least one respiratory sensor, at least one heart rate sensor, at least one skin temperature sensor, and/or at least one microphone.

12 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the at least one thermoregulated article includes at least two temperature zones, and wherein the processor is operable to independently adjust temperatures of each of the at least two temperature zones.

13 . The system of claim 12 , wherein based on the sensor data, the processor automatically determines which of the at least two temperature zones are occupied and selectively adjusts temperatures of the occupied temperature zones.

14 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the processor is communication with at least one heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system and wherein the processor automatically adjusts temperature settings of the HVAC system based on the sensor data.

15 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the processor is in network communication with at least one user device, and wherein the user device is configured to receive a selection to adjust temperature settings of the at least one thermoregulated article.

16 . The system of claim 9 , wherein, based on the sensor data, the processor determines whether a sleep phase of a user.

17 . A system for improving sleep quality, comprising:

at least one thermoregulated article in communication with a processor;

at least one body sensor configured to generate sensor data and transmit the sensor data to the processor; pg, 352
