Abstract

According to one embodiment, a display device comprises a flexible substrate, a first insulating film disposed on the flexible substrate, a switching element disposed on the first insulating film, a signal wiring electrically connected with the switching element, a first organic film disposed on the signal wiring, a connection wiring disposed on the first organic film, a second organic film disposed on the connection wiring and a pad electrode disposed on the second organic film. The connection wiring is located between the first organic film and the second organic film and is in contact with the first organic film and the second organic film.

Claims (39)

1. An electronic device comprising:

a flexible substrate;

a plurality of switching elements provided above the flexible substrate;

a first inorganic film provided between the flexible substrate and the plurality of switching elements;

wirings connected with the plurality of switching elements; and

pad electrodes connected with the wirings,

wherein

the wirings are provided between the pad electrodes and an area of the flexible substrate above which the plurality of switching elements are provided in a plan view,

a first organic film is provided between the flexible substrate and the wirings,

a surface of the flexible substrate opposed to the wirings is in contact with the first organic film, and

the flexible substrate is configured to be bent between the area and the pad electrodes in the plan view.

2. The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein

the first inorganic film includes a first part and a second part separated from the first part,

the first part is between the flexible substrate and the plurality of switching elements in a sectional view, and

the second part is between the flexible substrate and the pad electrodes in the sectional view.

3. The electronic device according to claim 1 , further comprising:

a second inorganic film provided on a semiconductor layer of the switching elements; and

a third inorganic film provided on a gate electrode of the switching elements.

4. The electronic device according to claim 3 , wherein

the second inorganic film and the third inorganic film include a third part and a fourth part separated from the third part,

the third part is between the flexible substrate and the plurality of switching elements in a sectional view, and

the fourth part is between the flexible substrate and the pad electrodes in the sectional view.

5. The electronic device according to claim 2 , further comprising:

a second inorganic film provided on a semiconductor layer of the switching elements; and

a third inorganic film provided on a gate electrode of the switching elements.

6. The electronic device according to claim 5 , wherein

the second inorganic film and the third inorganic film include a third part and a fourth part separated from the third part,

the third part is between the first part and the plurality of switching elements in a sectional view, and

the fourth part is between the second part and the pad electrodes in the sectional view.

7. The electronic device according to claim 2 , wherein

a part of the first organic film is between the first part and the wirings.

8. The electronic device according to claim 7 ,

wherein a thickness of the first organic film between the first part and the second part is larger than a thickness of the part of the first organic film.

9. The electronic device of claim 1 , further comprising a second organic film covering the wiring,

wherein the wiring is between the first organic film and the second organic film.

10. The electronic device according to claim 1 ,

wherein the flexible substrate is formed of polyimide.

11. The electronic device according to claim 1 ,

wherein the wiring includes a signal wiring and a connection wiring.
