EARPLUGS, EARPHONES, AND EARTIPS
At least one exemplary embodiment is directed to an earphone, ear device, eartip, or earplug configured to inserted in an ear canal of the ear. The earphone, ear device, eartip, or earplug is configured to occlude or partially occlude the ear canal of the ear. The earphone, ear device, eartip, or earplug includes a chamber to occlude or partially occlude the ear canal that is sealed when inserted in the ear canal and open to the external environment when outside the ear.
1 . An ear device comprising:
a stent;
a deformable reservoir;
a deformable membrane, wherein the deformable reservoir is connected to the deformable membrane by a fluid channel;
a speaker;
an ambient sound microphone; and
fixture elements within the deformable reservoir, wherein the deformable reservoir is configured to be deformed manually moving fluid from the reservoir through the channel into the deformable membrane expanding the deformable membrane, wherein the position of the deformed reservoir is secured by the fixture elements.
2 . An ear device comprising:
a stent configured for insertion into an ear canal;
a folding member having a resting shape, wherein the folding member is attached to a distal end of the stent with the opposing end free to move along the stent in the anti-distal direction; and
a ring attached to the opposing end, the ring configured to be moved by a finger, where the ring and attached opposing end are configured to move in the direction a finger pulls the ring to decrease the folding member’s resting shape radially.
3 . An ear device comprising:
a stent configured for insertion into an ear canal;
a first sealed chamber;
a second sealed chamber;
a valve; and
a rotatable member, wherein the rotatable member is attached to a portion of the stent and is configured so that rotating the rotatable member opens the valve so that fluid can flow between the first sealed chamber and the second sealed chamber.
