Abstract

A wireless device may select, based on a first group of search space sets for monitoring control resource sets (coresets) and a second group of search space sets for monitoring the coresets, reference signals, associated with the first group of search space sets, for link monitoring in both a first mode and a second mode. In the first mode, the first group of search space sets are monitored and the second group of search space sets are unmonitored. In the second mode, the first group of search space sets are unmonitored and the second group of search space sets are monitored. The wireless device may measure, both in the first mode and the second mode, the reference signals for the link monitoring.

Claims (34)

1. A method comprising:

selecting, by a wireless device and based on a first group of search space sets for monitoring control resource sets (coresets) and a second group of search space sets for monitoring the coresets, reference signals, associated with and based on monitoring periodicities of the first group of search space sets, for link monitoring in both of a first mode and a second mode, wherein:

in the first mode, the first group of search space sets is monitored and the second group of search space sets is unmonitored; and

in the second mode, the first group of search space sets is unmonitored and the second group of search space sets is monitored; and

measuring, both in the first mode and the second mode, the reference signals for the link monitoring.

2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising indicating out-of-synch (OoS) during the measuring based on a quality of the reference signals being worse than a threshold.

3. The method of claim 1 , further comprising indicating in-synch (IS) during the measuring based on a quality of the reference signals being better than a threshold.

4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving one or more configuration parameters indicating:

the coresets;

the first group of search space sets; and

the second group of search space sets.

5. The method of claim 4 , wherein the selecting the reference signals is further based on the one or more configuration parameters not indicating at least one reference signal for the link monitoring.

6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising monitoring at least one coreset of the coresets based on the reference signals.

7. The method of claim 6 , wherein the monitoring the at least one coreset comprises that one or more demodulation reference signals (DMRS s) of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) reception in the at least one coreset are quasi co-located with the reference signals.

8. The method of claim 6 , wherein the monitoring the at least one coreset is further based on one or more active transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states of the at least one coreset indicate the reference signals.

9. The method of claim 1 , wherein the selecting the reference signals is further based on a plurality of coreset indexes of the coresets.

10. A wireless device comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:

select, based on a first group of search space sets for monitoring control resource sets (coresets) and a second group of search space sets for monitoring the coresets, reference signals, associated with and based on monitoring periodicities of the first group of search space sets, for link monitoring in both of a first mode and a second mode, wherein:

in the first mode, the first group of search space sets is monitored and the second group of search space sets is unmonitored; and

in the second mode, the first group of search space sets is unmonitored and the second group of search space sets is monitored; and

measure, both in the first mode and the second mode, the reference signals for the link monitoring.

11. The wireless device of claim 10 , wherein the instructions further cause the wireless device to indicate out-of-synch (OoS) during measurement of the reference signals based on a quality of the reference signals being worse than a threshold.

12. The wireless device of claim 10 , wherein the instructions further cause the wireless device to indicate in-synch (IS) during measurement of the reference signals based on a quality of the reference signals being better than a threshold.

13. The wireless device of claim 10 , wherein the instructions further cause the wireless device to receive one or more configuration parameters indicating:

the coresets;

the first group of search space sets; and

the second group of search space sets.

14. The wireless device of claim 13 , wherein selection of the reference signals is further based on the one or more configuration parameters not indicating at least one reference signal for the link monitoring.

15. The wireless device of claim 10 , wherein the instructions further cause the wireless device to monitor at least one coreset of the coresets based on the reference signals.

16. The wireless device of claim 15 , wherein monitoring the at least one coreset comprises that one or more demodulation reference signals (DMRSs) of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) reception in the at least one coreset are quasi co-located with the reference signals.

17. The wireless device of claim 15 , wherein monitoring the at least one coreset is further based on one or more active transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states of the at least one coreset indicate the reference signals.

18. The wireless device of claim 10 , wherein selection of the reference signals is further based on a plurality of coreset indexes of the coresets.
