Abstract

Systems, methods, and computer program products are provided for improving establishment and broadcasting of communication among mobile computing devices. For example, a method comprises determining a first user accesses a mobile application on a first mobile device of the first user; determining a second user accesses the mobile application on a second mobile device of the second user; and initiating the audio conversation between the first user and the second user, wherein the audio conversation is streamed to a third user who accesses the mobile application on a third mobile device of the third user.

Claims (75)

1. A method for streaming or transmitting audio communication clips, the method comprising:

determining, using one or more computing device processors, a first user accesses a mobile application using a first mobile device of the first user;

determining, using the one or more computing device processors, a second user accesses the mobile application using a second mobile device of the second user;

receiving, using the one or more computing device processors, first audio communication information associated with an audio communication thread or board;

receiving, using the one or more computing device processors, at a first time, from the first mobile device of the first user, a first audio communication clip;

adding, using the one or more computing device processors, the first audio communication clip to the audio communication thread or board;

receiving, using the one or more computing device processors, at a second time, from the second mobile device of the second user, a second audio communication clip;

adding, using the one or more computing device processors, the second audio communication clip to the audio communication thread or board;

determining, using the one or more computing device processors, a third user accesses the mobile application using a third mobile device of the third user;

transmitting, using the one or more computing device processors, to the third mobile device of the third user, available audio communication information for one or more audio communication threads or boards available to the third mobile device, wherein the one or more audio communication threads or boards comprises the audio communication thread or board;

streaming or transmitting, using the one or more computing device processors, the first audio communication clip to the third mobile device of the third user;

transmitting, using the one or more computing device processors, to the third mobile device for visual display, on a first user interface of the mobile application, a first visual representation of the first user not comprising a first video of the first user, such that the first visual representation is displayed during playing of the first audio communication clip on the third mobile device of the third user;

streaming or transmitting, using the one or more computing device processors, the second audio communication clip to the third mobile device of the third user;

transmitting, using the one or more computing device processors, to the third mobile device for visual display, on the first user interface, or on a second user interface, of the mobile application, a second visual representation of the second user not comprising a second video of the second user, such that the second visual representation is displayed during playing of the second audio communication clip on the third mobile device of the third user; and

transmitting, using the one or more computing device processors, to the third mobile device for visual display, on the first user interface of the mobile application, the first audio communication information, or second audio communication information, associated with the audio communication thread or board, such that the first audio communication information, or the second audio communication information, is displayed during playing of the first audio communication clip on the third mobile device of the third user.

2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising at least one of:

receiving, from the third mobile device of the third user, a selection of the audio communication thread or board;

receiving, from the third mobile device of the third user, a selection of the first audio communication clip; or

receiving, from the third mobile device of the third user, a selection of the second audio communication clip.

The method of claim 1 , wherein the streaming or transmitting the second audio communication clip to the third mobile device of the third user comprises automatically streaming or transmitting the second audio communication clip to the third mobile device of the third user immediately after the streaming or transmitting the first audio communication clip to the third mobile device of the third user.

4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

providing an option for the third user on the third mobile device to add a third audio communication clip to the audio communication thread or board.

5. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

providing an option for the third user on the third mobile device to add a third audio communication clip, as a response to the first audio communication clip or to the second audio communication clip, to the audio communication thread or board.

6. The method of claim 1 ,

wherein first audio communication clips comprised in the audio communication thread or board are sortable based on a parameter selected by the third user, or

wherein the first audio communication clip is less than or equal to a first duration, and wherein the second audio communication clip is less than or equal to the first duration, or

wherein the audio communication thread or board is open to receiving or adding second audio communication clips for a second duration.

7. The method of claim 1 ,

wherein the first audio communication information is received from at least one of the first user or a fourth user, and

wherein the first audio communication information comprises at least one of text associated with the audio communication thread or board, a tag associated with the audio communication thread or board, a link associated with the audio communication thread or board, a poll associated with the audio communication thread or board, or a selection of whether the first user or the fourth user wants to identify the first user or the fourth user, respectively, as a creator of the first audio communication clip.

The method of claim 1 , wherein the second audio communication information comprises at least one of user information associated with a fourth user who started the audio communication thread or board, a number of audio communication clips comprised in the audio communication thread or board, a number of listening instances associated with the audio communication thread or board, an option to share the audio communication thread or board or to share the first audio communication clip or the second audio communication clip, on an external platform or network, or a number of sharing instances associated with the audio communication thread or board or associated with the first audio communication clip or the second audio communication clip.

The method of claim 1 , wherein the mobile application comprises one or more instances of the mobile application, or wherein the first visual representation comprises at least one of an avatar, an emoji, a symbol, a persona, an animation, a cartoon, an indicia, an illustration, a histogram, a graph, a first image uploaded or captured by the first user, a moving avatar, a moving emoji, a moving symbol, a moving persona, a moving cartoon, moving indicia, or a moving illustration.

10. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first video of the first user comprises a first live video of the first user, and wherein the second video of the second user comprises a second live video of the second user.

The method of claim 1 , wherein the first audio communication clip continues to stream or transmit to the third mobile device such that the first audio communication clip is played on the third mobile device when a third user interface of a second mobile application, or a home screen of the third mobile device, is displayed on the third mobile device.

12. An apparatus for streaming or transmitting audio communication clips, the apparatus comprising:

one or more computing device processors;

one or more memory systems comprising code, executable by the one or more computing device processors, and configured to:

determine a first user accesses a mobile application using a first mobile device of the first user;

determine a second user accesses the mobile application using a second mobile device of the second user;

receive first audio communication information associated with an audio communication thread or board;

receive, at a first time, from the first mobile device of the first user, a first audio communication clip;

add the first audio communication clip to the audio communication thread or board;

receive, at a second time, from the second mobile device of the second user, a second audio communication clip;

add the second audio communication clip to the audio communication thread or board;

determine a third user accesses the mobile application using a third mobile device of the third user;

transmit, to the third mobile device of the third user, available audio communication information for one or more audio communication threads or boards available to the third mobile device, wherein the one or more audio communication threads or boards comprises the audio communication thread or board;

stream or transmit the first audio communication clip to the third mobile device of the third user;

transmit, to the third mobile device for visual display, on a first user interface of the mobile application, a first visual representation of the first user not comprising a first live video of the first user, such that the first visual representation is displayed during playing of the first audio communication clip on the third mobile device of the third user;

stream or transmit the second audio communication clip to the third mobile device of the third user;

transmit, to the third mobile device for visual display, on the first user interface, or on a second user interface, of the mobile application, a second visual representation of the second user not comprising a second video of the second user, such that the first visual representation is displayed during playing of the second audio communication clip on the third mobile device of the third user; and

transmit, to the third mobile device for visual display, on the first user interface of the mobile application, the audio communication information, or second audio communication information, associated with the audio communication thread or board, such that the first audio communication information, or the second audio communication information, is displayed during playing of the first audio communication clip on the third mobile device of the third user.

13. The apparatus of claim 12 , wherein the apparatus comprises or is comprised in at least one of an application server, the first mobile device, the second mobile device, or the third mobile device.

14. A method for streaming or transmitting audio communication clips, the method comprising:

determining, using one or more computing device processors, a first user accesses a mobile application using a first mobile device of the first user;

receiving, using the one or more computing device processors, from the first mobile device of the first user, a first audio communication clip;

adding, using the one or more computing device processors, the first audio communication clip to a first user profile of the first user or to a first audio communication thread or board;

determining, using the one or more computing device processors, a second user accesses the mobile application using a second mobile device of the second user;

in response to determining the second user accesses the mobile application using the second mobile device of the second user, transmitting, using the one or more computing device processors, first visual information associated with the first audio communication clip for display on a first user interface of the mobile application on the second mobile device of the second user, wherein the first visual information comprises a first visual representation of the first user not comprising a first live video of the first user;

in response to receiving a first selection of the first audio communication clip from the second mobile device, streaming or transmitting, using the one or more computing device processors, the first audio communication clip to the second mobile device of the second user, wherein the first visual information, comprising the first visual representation of the first user not comprising the first live video of the first user, is displayed, during playing of the first audio communication clip on the second mobile device of the second user, on the first user interface of the mobile application on the second mobile device of the second user;

determining, using the one or more computing device processors, a third user accesses the mobile application using a third mobile device of the second user;

in response to determining the third user accesses the mobile application using the third mobile device of the third user, transmitting, using the one or more computing device processors, the first visual information associated with the first audio communication clip for display on a second user interface of the mobile application on the third mobile device of the third user; and

in response to receiving a second selection of the first audio communication clip from the third mobile device, streaming or transmitting, using the one or more computing device processors, the first audio communication clip to the third mobile device of the third user, wherein the first visual information, comprising the first visual representation of the first user not comprising the first live video of the first user, is displayed, during playing of the first audio communication clip on the third mobile device of the third user, on the second user interface of the mobile application on the third mobile device of the third user.

15. The method of claim 14 , wherein, on the mobile application, the second user is at least one of connected to, follows, or is followed by the first user.

16. The method of claim 14 ,

wherein the mobile application comprises one or more instances of the mobile application, or

wherein the first visual representation comprises at least one of an avatar, an emoji, a symbol, a persona, an animation, a cartoon, an indicia, an illustration, a histogram, a graph, a first image uploaded or captured by the first user, a moving avatar, a moving emoji, a moving symbol, a moving persona, a moving cartoon, moving indicia, or a moving illustration.

17. The method of claim 14 , further comprising:

receiving a second audio communication clip from the second mobile device of the second user as a response to the first audio communication clip, wherein the second audio communication clip is transmitted to an inbox associated with the first user or is added to the first audio communication thread or board.

18. The method of claim 14 , further comprising:

providing, to the second user, an option to select a setting for the second audio communication clip, wherein the setting determines whether the second audio communication clip is accessible or playable by only the first user using the first mobile device.

19. The method of claim 14 , further comprising:

providing, to the first user, an option to select a setting for the first audio communication clip, wherein the setting determines whether the first audio communication clip is accessible or playable by a fourth user using a fourth mobile device.

20. The method of claim 14 , further comprising:

providing, to the second user using the second mobile device, a notification after the first audio communication clip is added to the first user profile of the first user or to the first audio communication thread or board.
