Abstract

A method and/or system to perform operations associated with a roulette game. The operations include selecting, via a random number generator, a set of multiplier levels for a roulette game. The roulette game is associated with a plurality of terminals. The operations further include selecting one or more sets of random layout values from a betting layout for the roulette game, and pairing, based on multiplier-level type, each member of the set of multiplier levels with at least one of the one or more sets of random layout values. The operations further include animating, via one or more displays associated with the plurality of terminals, a highlight effect for each pair that occurs from the pairing of each member of the set of multiplier levels with the at least one of the one or more sets of random layout values.

pairing, by the one or more processors based on multiplier-level type, each member of the set of multiplier levels with at least one of the one or more sets of random layout values; and

animating, by the one or more processors via one or more displays associated with the plurality of terminals, a highlight effect for each pair that occurs from the pairing of each member of the set of multiplier levels with the at least one of the one or more sets of random layout values.

2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

determining that at least one member of the set of multiplier levels is a terminal-specific type; and

for each given terminal, of the plurality of terminals, at which a bet was placed on the betting layout,

visually associating, via a graphic, each pair assigned specifically to the at least one member of the set of multiplier levels, and

presenting the graphic via a terminal-specific display, of the one or more displays, located at the given terminal.

3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the determining that the at least one member of the set of multiplier levels is the terminal-specific type comprises determining that the at least one member of the set of multiplier levels exceeds a multiplier-level threshold.

4 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising:

determining that an additional member of the set of multiplier levels is a communal type;

visually associating, via an additional graphic, each pair assigned specifically to the additional member of the set of multiplier levels; and

presenting the additional graphic via a communal display of the one or more displays.

5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the determining that the additional member of the set of multiplier levels is the communal type comprises determining that the additional member of the set of multiplier levels does not exceed a multiplier-level threshold.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the selecting the one or more sets of random layout values from the betting layout is via the random number generator, and wherein the random number generator is located at one of the plurality of terminals.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the selecting the one or more sets of random layout values from the betting layout is via one or more additional random number generators, wherein the random number generator is located at a first terminal of the plurality of terminals, wherein the first terminal is associated with a game controller, and wherein the one or more additional random number generators are located at one or more second terminals of the plurality of terminals, and wherein the one or more second terminals comprise one or more active player terminals at which a bet was placed on the betting layout.

8 . A gaming system comprising:

one or more displays associated with a plurality of terminals, wherein the one or more displays are configured to present an image of a roulette wheel for a roulette game; and

one or more processors configured to execute instructions that cause operations to:

select, via one or more random number generators, a set of multiplier levels for the roulette game;

select, via the one or more random number generators, one or more sets of random layout values from a betting layout for the roulette game;

pair, based on multiplier-level type, each member of the set of multiplier levels with at least one of the one or more sets of random layout values; and

animate, via the one or more displays, a highlight effect for each member of the set of multiplier levels paired with the at least one of the one or more sets of random layout values.

9 . The gaming system of claim 8 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to execute instructions that cause operations to:

determine that at least one member of the set of multiplier levels is a terminal-specific type; and

for each given terminal, of the plurality of terminals, at which a bet was placed on the betting layout,

visually associate, via a graphic, at least one pair that occurs when the at least one member of the set of multiplier levels is paired with at least one of the one or more sets of random layout values assigned specifically to the given terminal, and

present the graphic via a terminal-specific display, of the one or more displays, located at the given terminal.

10 . The gaming system of claim 9 , wherein the operations to determine that the at least one member of the set of multiplier levels is the terminal-specific type include operations to determine that the at least one member of the set of multiplier levels exceeds a multiplier-level threshold.

11 . The gaming system of claim 9 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to execute instructions that cause operations to:

determine that an additional member of the set of multiplier levels is a communal type;

visually associate, via an additional graphic, at least one additional pair that occurs when the additional member of the set of multiplier levels is paired with at least an additional one of the one or more sets of random layout values; and

present the additional graphic via a communal display of the one or more displays.

12 . The gaming system of claim 11 , wherein the operations to determine that the at least one member of the set of multiplier levels is the communal type includes operations to determine that the additional member of the set of multiplier levels does not exceed a multiplier-level threshold.

13 . The gaming system of claim 8 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to execute instructions that cause operations to select the one or more sets of random layout values from the betting layout via the one or more random number generators, and wherein the one or more random number generators are located at one of plurality of terminals.

14 . The gaming system of claim 8 , wherein the operations to select the one or more sets of random layout values from the betting layout is via one or more additional random number generators, wherein the one or more random number generators are located at a first terminal of the plurality of terminals, wherein the first terminal is associated with a game controller, and wherein the one or more additional random number generators are located at one or more second terminals of the plurality of terminals, wherein the one or more second terminals comprise one or more active player terminals at which a bet was placed on the betting layout.

15 . One or more non-transitory, computer-readable storage media having instructions stored thereon, which, when executed by a set of one or more processors of a game controller, cause the set of one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

selecting, via a random number generator, a set of multiplier levels for a roulette game, wherein the roulette game is associated with a plurality of terminals;

selecting one or more sets of random layout values from a betting layout for the roulette game;

pairing, based on multiplier-level type, each member of the set of multiplier levels with at least one of the one or more sets of random layout values; and

animating, via one or more displays associated with the plurality of terminals, a highlight effect for each pair that occurs from the pairing of each member of the set of multiplier levels with the at least one of the one or more sets of random layout values.

16 . The one or more non-transitory, computer-readable storage media of claim 15 , said operations further comprising:

determining that at least one member of the set of multiplier levels is a terminal-specific type; and
