Abstract

A three-dimensional data encoding method includes: generating one or more items of first information each of which is common to two or more frames among a plurality of frames and includes information indicating one or more partial regions included in a frame; generating items of second information each of which is for a different one of the plurality of frames and includes information indicating a feature of a partial point cloud consisting of three-dimensional points of each of the partial regions; and encoding, for each item of data of the partial point cloud, point cloud data of the three-dimensional points. The items of second information include information indicating one of the one or more items of first information.

Claims (52)

1 . A three-dimensional data encoding method comprising:

generating one or more items of first information each of which is common to two or more frames among a plurality of frames and includes information indicating one or more partial regions included in a frame;

generating items of second information each of which is for a different one of the plurality of frames and includes information indicating a feature of a partial point cloud consisting of three-dimensional points of each of the partial regions; and

encoding, for each item of data of the partial point cloud, point cloud data of the three-dimensional points, wherein

the items of second information include information indicating one of the one or more items of first information, and

the items of second information include at least one of:

visibility information indicating whether the partial point cloud is visible from a predetermined position;

connectivity information indicating a relation between a partial region in which the partial point cloud is included and another partial region different from the partial region; or

normal vector information indicating a normal direction of the partial point cloud.

2 . The three-dimensional data encoding method according to claim 1 , further comprising:

generating a bitstream including the one or more items of first information, the items of second information, the point cloud data encoded, and information indicating whether a partial point cloud is included in each of the one or more partial regions.

3 . A three-dimensional data decoding method comprising:

obtaining:

one or more items of first information each of which is common to two or more frames among a plurality of frames and includes information indicating one or more partial regions included in a frame;

items of second information each of which is for a different one of the plurality of frames and includes information indicating a feature of a partial point cloud consisting of three-dimensional points of each of the partial regions; and

encoded point cloud data of the three-dimensional points, the point cloud data being encoded for each item of data of the partial point cloud; and

decoding the encoded point cloud data based on the one or more items of first information and the items of second information, wherein

the items of second information include information indicating one of the one or more items of first information, and

the items of second information include at least one of:

visibility information indicating whether the partial point cloud is visible from a predetermined position;

connectivity information indicating a relation between a partial region in which the partial point cloud is included and another partial region different from the partial region; or

normal vector information indicating a normal direction of the partial point cloud.

4 . The three-dimensional data decoding method according to claim 3 , further comprising:

obtaining a bitstream including the one or more items of first information, the items of second information, the encoded point cloud data, and information indicating whether a partial point cloud is included in each of the partial regions.

5 . A three-dimensional data encoding device comprising:

a processor; and

memory, wherein

using the memory, the processor:

generates one or more items of first information each of which is common to two or more frames among a plurality of frames and includes information indicating one or more partial regions included in a frame;

generates items of second information each of which is for a different one of the plurality of frames and includes information indicating a feature of a partial point cloud consisting of three-dimensional points of each of the partial regions; and

encodes, for each item of data of the partial point cloud, point cloud data of the three-dimensional points, wherein

the items of second information include information indicating one of the one or more items of first information, and

the items of second information include at least one of:

visibility information indicating whether the partial point cloud is visible from a predetermined position;

connectivity information indicating a relation between a partial region in which the partial point cloud is included and another partial region different from the partial region; or

normal vector information indicating a normal direction of the partial point cloud.

6 . A three-dimensional data decoding device comprising:

a processor; and

memory, wherein

using the memory, the processor:

obtains:

one or more items of first information each of which is common to two or more frames among a plurality of frames and includes information indicating one or more partial regions included in a frame;

items of second information each of which is for a different one of the plurality of frames and includes information indicating a feature of a partial point cloud consisting of three-dimensional points of each of the partial regions; and

encoded point cloud data of the three-dimensional points, the point cloud data being encoded for each item of data of the partial point cloud; and

decodes the encoded point cloud data based on the one or more items of first information and the items of second information, wherein

the items of second information include information indicating one of the one or more items of first information, and

the items of second information include at least one of:

visibility information indicating whether the partial point cloud is visible from a predetermined position;

connectivity information indicating a relation between a partial region in which the partial point cloud is included and another partial region different from the partial region; or

normal vector information indicating a normal direction of the partial point cloud.

7 . The three-dimensional data encoding method according to claim 1 , wherein the one or more items of first information each include information indicating one or more positions of the one or more partial regions.

8 . The three-dimensional data decoding method according to claim 3 , wherein the one or more items of first information each include information indicating one or more positions of the one or more partial regions.
