Abstract

Arrangements described herein relate to systems, apparatuses, and methods for a headset system that includes a transducer configured to collect physiological data of a subject, a device housing configured to support the transducer, an insert portion disposed on the device housing, a support structure comprising a baseplate and a receiving portion, and a head cradle supported by the baseplate. The receiving portion extends in a direction that is oblique with respect to the baseplate. The insert portion is sized and shaped to engage the receiving portion to removably attach the device housing to the baseplate.

Claims (62)

1. A system, comprising:

a support structure configured to support a portion of a body of a subject, the support structure comprising a first receiving portion; and

a first device disposed on a first side of the support structure, comprising:

a first transducer configured to collect physiological data of the portion of the body of the subject, wherein the first transducer is configured to operate within a first objective workspace, and wherein the portion of the body of the subject is disposed within the first objective workspace when the portion of the body of the subject is supported by the support structure;

a first camera;

a first device housing to support the first transducer;

a first attachment portion configured to couple with the first receiving portion, wherein a portion of the first transducer extends in a first direction toward the portion of the body of the subject when the portion of the body of the subject is supported by the support structure, wherein the first camera has a first field of view that covers the first objective workspace when the portion of the body of the subject is supported by the support structure; and

a controller comprising a digital signal processor, the controller configured to:

receive first camera data from the first camera, the first camera data directed to the first field of view;

determine, within the first field of view, positions of one or more markers disposed on the portion of the body of the subject;

define, based on the positions of the one or more markers disposed on the portion of the body of the subject, a first actual workspace within the first objective workspace; and

align the first transducer to operate within the first actual workspace.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the support structure comprises a head cradle configured to support a head of the subject.

3. The system of claim 2 , wherein the support structure comprises a baseplate configured to support the head cradle.

4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the first camera has a first line of sight, wherein the first direction is oblique to the first line of sight.

5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the first camera is disposed at a side of the first device housing.

6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the first transducer is disposed at a first side of the first device housing, and the first camera is disposed at a second side of the first device housing.

7. The system of claim 1 , wherein the first attachment portion is configured to be removably attached to the first receiving portion.

8. The system of claim 1 , wherein the first transducer is configured to move relative to the first device housing.

9. The system of claim 8 , wherein the first device comprises a first motor configured to move the first transducer relative to the first device housing.

10. The system of claim 1 , wherein the first device is elevated with respect to a flat surface when the support structure is placed on the flat surface and when the first attachment portion is coupled with the first receiving portion.

11. The system of claim 1 , further comprising:

the support structure comprising a second receiving portion; and

a second device disposed on a second side of the support structure, comprising:

a second transducer configured to collect physiological data of the portion of the body of the subject, wherein the second transducer is configured to operate within a second objective workspace;

a second camera;

a second device housing configured to support the second transducer; and

a second attachment portion configured to couple with the second receiving portion, wherein a portion of the second transducer extends in a second direction toward the portion of the body of the subject when the portion of the body of the subject is supported by the support structure, wherein the second camera has a second field of view that covers the second objective workspace when the portion of the body of the subject is supported by the support structure, and wherein the controller is further configured to:

receive second camera data from the second camera, the second camera data directed to the second field of view;

determine, within the second field of view, positions of one or more further markers disposed on the body of the subject;

define, based on the positions of the one or more further markers, a second actual workspace within the second objective workspace; and

align the second transducer to operate within the second actual workspace.

12. The system of claim 11 , wherein the second camera has a second line of sight, wherein the second direction is oblique to the second line of sight.

13. The system of claim 11 , wherein the second camera is disposed at a side of the second device housing.

14. The system of claim 11 , wherein the second transducer is disposed at a first side of the second device housing, and the second camera is disposed at a second side of the second device housing.

15. The system of claim 11 , wherein the second attachment portion is configured to be removably attached to the second receiving portion.

16. The system of claim 11 , wherein the second transducer is configured to move relative to the second device housing.

17. The system of claim 11 , wherein the second device comprises a second motor configured to move the second transducer relative to the second device housing.

18. The system of claim 11 , wherein the second device is elevated with respect to a flat surface when the support structure is placed on the flat surface and when the second attachment portion is coupled with the second receiving portion.

19. A method, comprising:

providing a support structure configured to support a portion of a body of a subject, the support structure comprising a first receiving portion; and

providing a first device disposed on a first side of the support structure, the providing the first device comprising:

providing a first transducer to collect physiological data of the portion of the body of the subject, wherein the first transducer is configured to operate within a first objective workspace, and wherein the portion of the body of the subject is disposed within the first objective workspace when the portion of the body of the subject is supported by the support structure;

providing a first camera;

providing a first device housing to support the first transducer;

providing a first attachment portion configured to couple with the first receiving portion, wherein a portion of the first transducer extends in a first direction toward the portion of the body of the subject when the portion of the body of the subject is supported by the support structure, wherein the first camera has a first field of view that covers the first objective workspace when the portion of the body of the subject is supported by the support structure; and

providing a controller comprising a digital signal processor to:

receive first camera data from the first camera, the first camera data directed to the first field of view;

determine, within the first field of view, positions of one or more markers disposed on the portion of the body of the subject;

define, based on the positions of the one or more markers disposed on the portion of the body of the subject, a first actual workspace within the first objective workspace; and

align the first transducer to operate within the first actual workspace.

20. The method of claim 19 , comprising:

providing the support structure comprising second receiving portion; and

providing a second device disposed on a second side of the support structure, the providing the second device comprising:

providing a second transducer to collect physiological data of the portion of the body of the subject, wherein the second transducer is configured to operate within a second objective workspace;
