MULTI-LINK FLEXIBLE WAKE TIME SCHEDULING
Communication between multi-link devices may be via a plurality of links. A multi-link device may be in a sleep state, with respect to one or more links, such as for power conservation purposes. A sleep state, for the one or more links, may be rescheduled, using signaling via another link. Based on the rescheduling, the multi-link device may transition to an awake state, with respect to the one or more links, to facilitate transmission and/or reception via the one or more links.
1 . A method comprising:
transmitting, by an access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD) to a non-AP MLD, a first frame indicating configuration of a target wake time (TWT) service period (SP) of a first link of a plurality of links between the AP MLD and non-AP MLD; and
transmitting, via a second link of the plurality of links, a second frame indicating rescheduling of the TWT SP of the first link, wherein the second frame comprises:
link identifier (ID) information of the first link; and
updated timing information for the TWT SP of the first link.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving, via the second link, a third frame indicating rescheduling of the TWT SP of the first link, wherein the third frame comprises:
the link ID information of the first link; and
second timing information for the TWT SP of the first link; and
transmitting, by the AP MLD via the second link, an acknowledgement based on receiving the third frame.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first frame further indicates:
a first mapping of a first traffic identifier (TID) to the first link; and
a second mapping of a second TID to the second link.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the transmitting the second frame is based on determining that bufferable units associated with a first traffic identifier (TID), mapped to the first link, are available for transmission outside the TWT SP of the first link.
5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving at least one frame indicating:
a third mapping of a first traffic identifier (TID) to the first link;
a fourth mapping of a second TID to the second link; and
a second configuration of the TWT SP of the first link,
wherein the first frame indicates acceptance of one or more parameters indicated by the at least one frame.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:
the link ID information comprises an indication of the first link; and
the updated timing information comprises a start time of the TWT SP of the first link.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the TWT SP is a next scheduled TWT SP among TWT SPs of the first link.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the TWT SP comprises one of an individual TWT, a broadcast TWT SP, or a restricted TWT SP.
9 . A method comprising:
transmitting, by an access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD) to a non-AP MLD, a first frame indicating configuration of a target wake time (TWT) service period (SP) of a first link of a plurality of links between the AP MLD and non-AP MLD; and
receiving, via a second link of the plurality of links, a second frame indicating rescheduling of the TWT SP of the first link, wherein the second frame comprises:
link identifier (ID) information of the first link; and
updated timing information for the TWT SP of the first link.
10 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising:
transmitting, via the second link, a third frame indicating rescheduling of the TWT SP of the first link, wherein the third frame comprises:
link identifier (ID) information of the first link; and
updated timing information for the TWT SP of the first link; and
receiving, by the AP MLD via the second link, an acknowledgement based on receiving the third frame.
11 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the first frame further indicates:
a first mapping of a first traffic identifier (TID) to the first link; and
a second mapping of a second TID to the second link.
12 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the transmitting the second frame is based on determining that bufferable units associated with a first traffic identifier (TID), mapped to the first link, are available for transmission outside the TWT SP of the first link.
13 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising:
receiving at least one frame indicating:
a third mapping of a first traffic identifier (TID) to the first link;
a fourth mapping of a second TID to the second link; and
a second configuration of the TWT SP of the first link,
wherein the first frame indicates acceptance of one or more parameters indicated by the at least one frame.
14 . The method of claim 9 , wherein:
the link ID information comprises an indication of the first link; and
the updated timing information comprises a start time of the TWT SP of the first link.
15 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the TWT SP is a next scheduled TWT SP among TWT SPs of the first link.
16 . A method comprising:
receiving, by a non-access point (non-AP) multi-link device (MLD) from an access point (AP) MLD, a first frame indicating configuration of a target wake time (TWT) service period (SP) of a first link of a plurality of links between the AP MLD and the non-AP MLD;
sending an indication to transition a first station affiliated with the non-AP MLD to a doze state; and
receiving, via a second link of the plurality of links while the first station is in the doze state, a second frame indicating rescheduling of the TWT SP of the first link, wherein the second frame comprises:
link identifier (ID) information of the first link; and
timing information for the TWT SP of the first link.
17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the first station is associated with the first link.
18 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising:
transmitting, via the second link while the first station is in the doze state, a third frame indicating rescheduling of the TWT SP of the first link, wherein the third frame comprises:
