Abstract

A system for transportation includes a vehicle occupied by a rider, an electronic commerce system of the vehicle, and an artificial intelligence system for processing data from an interaction of the rider with the electronic commerce system to classify a rider state and optimizing at least one operating parameter of the vehicle to improve the rider state.

Claims (23)

1 . A system for transportation, comprising:

a vehicle occupied by a rider;

an electronic commerce system of the vehicle; and

an artificial intelligence system for processing data from an interaction of the rider with the electronic commerce system to classify a rider state and optimizing at least one operating parameter of the vehicle to improve the rider state.

2 . The system for transportation of claim 1 further comprising an electronic commerce system interface deployed via a smart phone for access by the rider in the vehicle, wherein the vehicle is a self-driving vehicle, wherein the vehicle is operating in a self-driving vehicle state, and wherein the electronic commerce system interface provides in-vehicle-relevant content that is based on an identity of the rider, a route of the vehicle, a rider mood, and traffic conditions.

3 . The system for transportation of claim 2 further comprising a rider interaction circuit that captures rider interactions with the deployed electronic commerce system interface, wherein the rider interactions with the deployed electronic commerce system interface are responsive to the in-vehicle-relevant content presented in the deployed electronic commerce system interface.

4 . The system for transportation of claim 3 wherein the artificial intelligence system includes a first neural network trained to classify the rider state based on analysis of the rider interactions with the deployed electronic commerce system interface to classify a classified rider state through recognition of aspects of the captured rider interactions that correlate to the classified rider state, wherein the classified rider state includes the rider mood; and

5 . The system for transportation of claim 4 wherein the artificial intelligence system further includes a second neural network that optimizes, for achieving a favorable rider mood, the at least one operating parameter of the vehicle in response to the classified rider state, wherein the at least one operating parameter of the vehicle that is optimized affects: the route of the vehicle, a speed of the vehicle, an acceleration of the vehicle, a deceleration of the vehicle, and a proximity to other vehicles along the route.

6 . The system for transportation of claim 5 wherein the at least one operating parameter of the vehicle includes a vehicle performance mode.

7 . The system for transportation of claim 6 wherein the vehicle performance mode is an aggressive performance mode.

8 . The system for transportation of claim 6 wherein the vehicle performance mode is a non-aggressive performance mode.

9 . The system for transportation of claim 2 wherein the electronic commerce system interface is self-adaptive and responsive to the identity of the rider.

10 . The system for transportation of claim 2 wherein the electronic commerce system interface is self-adaptive and responsive to the route of the vehicle.

11 . The system for transportation of claim 2 wherein the electronic commerce system interface is self-adaptive and responsive to the rider mood.

12 . The system for transportation of claim 2 wherein the electronic commerce system interface is self-adaptive and responsive to a behavior of the rider.

13 . The system for transportation of claim 2 wherein the electronic commerce system interface is self-adaptive and responsive to a vehicle configuration.

14 . The system for transportation of claim 2 wherein the electronic commerce system interface is self-adaptive and responsive to a vehicle state.

15 . The system for transportation of claim 2 wherein the electronic commerce system interface executes a user interaction workflow adapted for use by the rider in the vehicle.

16 . The system for transportation of claim 2 wherein the electronic commerce system interface provides one or more search query results that are adapted for presentation in the vehicle.

17 . The system for transportation of claim 16 wherein the one or more search query results adapted for the presentation in the vehicle are presented in the electronic commerce system interface along with advertising adapted for presentation in the vehicle.

18 . The system for transportation of claim 16 wherein the one or more search query results adapted for the presentation in the vehicle include audio or video information regarding a point of interest along the route.

19 . The system for transportation of claim 16 wherein audio or video information regarding a point of interest along the route is adapted to account for visibility of the point of interest to the rider based on: a location of the rider in the vehicle; the location, speed, and direction of the vehicle; a likelihood of encountering visually obscuring traffic or objects along the route; and visibility-related weather conditions.

20 . The system for transportation of claim 19 wherein the route of the vehicle includes a traffic lane selected to increase visibility of the point of interest to reduce rider frustration that inhibits achieving a favorable rider mood.
