Abstract

A suit and a rank are printed on one surface of a card base sheet, a back pattern is printed on a back surface, an intermediate layer having a black layer or a color layer similar to black is provided on the card base sheet to make transmission of visible rays difficult, and ink containing no carbon is used for printing the suit and the rank, and thus the intermediate layer prevents the transmission of the visible rays from the back surface and the suit and the rank printed with the ink containing no carbon transmit infrared rays, such that it is difficult for both the visible rays and the infrared rays to distinguish the suit and the rank from the back surface, and one set or a plurality of sets of decks are constituted by individual cards cut from the card base sheet by a cutting machine.

Claims (37)

1 . A playing card comprising:

a first layer on which a suit and a rank are printed of a visible ink that substantially transmits infrared rays;

a second layer having a surface on which a visible pattern is printed; and

an intermediate layer arranged between the first layer and the second layer,

wherein printing, including the suit, the rank, and the visible pattern, is provided only on the first layer and the second layer, and the intermediate layer has a dark color not representing the suit and the rank and configured to impede transmission of visible rays between the first layer and the second layer such that visibility of the suit and the rank on the first layer is obscured from the surface of the second layer.

2 . The playing card according to claim 1 , wherein the visible ink includes carbon.

3 . The playing card according to claim 1 , wherein the visible ink contains no carbon.

4 . The playing card according to claim 1 , further comprising a code printed of an invisible ink on the first layer.

5 . The playing card according to claim 1 , wherein the visible pattern is printed by an ink configured to impede, from the surface of the second layer, visibility of the suit and the rank printed on the first layer based on the infrared rays.

6 . The playing card according to claim 5 , wherein the ink of the visible pattern contains carbon.

7 . The playing card according to claim 1 , wherein the intermediate layer is configured to impede transmission of the infrared rays through the intermediate layer to the surface of the second layer.

8 . The playing card according to claim 1 , wherein the playing card is one of a plurality of cards of one or more decks of cards cut by a cutting machine from a card base sheet formed of the first layer, the second layer, and the intermediate layer.

9 . A set of shuffled playing cards formed of a plurality of playing cards that are shuffled by a shuffle machine, wherein each of one or more of the shuffled playing cards of the set comprises:

a first layer on which a suit and a rank are printed of a visible ink that substantially transmits infrared rays;

a second layer having a surface of which a visible pattern is printed; and

an intermediate layer arranged between the first layer and the second layer,

wherein printing, including the suit, the rank, and the visible pattern, is provided only on the first layer and the second layer, and the intermediate layer has a dark color not representing the suit and the rank and configured to impede transmission of visible rays between the first layer and the second layer such that visibility of the suit and the rank on the first layer is obscured from the surface of the second layer.

10 . The set of shuffled playing cards according to claim 9 , wherein one of a plurality of unique shuffled playing card ID codes is assigned to the set, others of the plurality of unique shuffled playing card ID codes being assigned to other sets of shuffled playing cards.

11 . The set of shuffled playing cards according to claim 9 , further comprising a code printed of an invisible ink on the first layer.

12 . The set of shuffled playing cards according to claim 9 , wherein the intermediate layer is configured to impede transmission of the infrared rays through the intermediate layer to the surface of the second layer.

13 . A table game system comprising:

a playing card having one surface on which a suit and a rank are printed of a visible ink that substantially transmits infrared rays, the playing card having neither the suit and the rank printed of an ink containing carbon nor any code representing the suit and the rank;

a game table on which a game is configured to be played using the playing card; and

a card distributer is configured to:

provide a plurality of playing cards, including the playing card, one card at a time onto the game table;

read a code on the one surface of the playing card, the code being printed of an invisible ink; and

generate a determination of a win or loss result of the game based on the rank.

14 . The table game system according to claim 13 , wherein the card distributor is further configured to determine the win or loss result of the game based on the rank.

15 . The table game system according to claim 13 , wherein the card distributor is further configured to initiate display, based on the determination, of the win or loss result.

16 . The table game system according to claim 13 , further comprising a display configured to present an indication of the win or loss result.

17 . The playing card according to claim 16 , wherein a back pattern on the back surface is printed of an ink containing carbon.

the card distribution device has a function of reading the rank from the code printed with the invisible ink and determining and displaying win or loss results of each game based on information of the rank.

18 . A playing card, wherein:

a suit and a rank are printed, only on a surface of the playing card, of a visible ink containing no carbon, and

the suit and the rank are not represented with an ink containing carbon.

19 . The playing card according to claim 18 , wherein an intermediate layer, which is configured to prevent transmission of infrared rays from the area where the suit and the rank are printed, is provided between the surface and a back surface of the playing card.

20 . The playing card according to claim 19 , wherein the intermediate layer prevents transmission of infrared rays over the entire surface of the playing card.
