Abstract

Methods, systems, and devices may assist in operation of DL control channel for NR from 52.6 GHz and above. There may be single DCI scheduling for multi-scheduling, such as single DCI schedule multi-PDSCH or single DCI schedule multi-CC.

Claims (38)

1 . An apparatus that performs wireless communication, the apparatus comprising:

a processor; and

memory coupled with the processor, the memory comprising executable instructions stored thereon that when executed by the processor cause the processor to effectuate operations comprising:

receiving an indication of a monitoring span for a search space;

setting a periodicity of monitoring of the search space to a multiple of integers of a number of slots between a beginning of two consecutive monitoring occasions;

receiving instructions to monitor a first number of slots of a plurality of slots during a monitoring span; and

in response to the instructions, monitoring physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) during the monitoring span.

2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the monitoring span is received from a base station.

3 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the PDCCH is monitored for a threshold maximum number of scheduled PDCCH candidates.

4 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the PDCCH monitoring span contains plurality of slots and only monitor contiguous slots within the PDCCH monitoring span.

5 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the PDCCH monitoring span are consecutive and non-overlapping in time-domain.

6 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the search space in the PDCCH monitoring span is configured as multiple periods of PDCCH monitoring span.

7 . The apparatus of claim 1 , the operations further receiving the maximum number of scheduled PDCCHs to monitor per span, wherein the maximum number of PDDCHs to monitor per slot is used to limit blind decoding (BD) or control channel element (CCE) for an aligned monitoring span or non-aligned monitoring span.

8 . The apparatus of claim 1 , the operations further comprising:

determining that a last packet is not indicated during a monitoring span; and

based on not being indicated, decoding the PDCCH in a scheduled physical downlink shared data channel (PDSCH) time-frequency allocated resource for next scheduled physical downlink shared data channel PDSCH.

9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the apparatus is a user equipment.

10 . An apparatus, the apparatus comprising:

a processor; and,

memory coupled with the processor, the memory comprising executable instructions stored thereon that when executed by the processor cause the processor to effectuate operations comprising:

determining an indication of a monitoring span; and

sending instructions to monitor a first number of slots of a plurality of slots during the monitoring span,

wherein the physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) is monitored for a maximum number of PDCCH candidates, and

wherein the PDCCH is monitored for a maximum number of nonoverlapping control channel elements (CCEs).

11 . The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the instructions to monitor the first number of slots is sent to a user equipment.

12 . The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the PDCCH is monitored for a threshold maximum number of scheduled PDCCH candidates.

13 . The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the monitoring span comprises a plurality of slots and provides instructions to just monitor contiguous slots within the monitoring span.

14 . The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the monitoring span is consecutive and non-overlapping in time-domain.

15 . The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the apparatus is a base station.

16 . A method comprising:

receiving an indication of a monitoring span for a search space or polarity of search spaces;

setting a periodicity of monitoring of the search space to a multiple of integers of a number of slots between a beginning of two consecutive monitoring occasions;

receiving instructions to monitor a first number of slots of a plurality of slots during a monitoring span; and

in response to the instructions, monitoring physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) during the monitoring span.

17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the monitoring span is received from a base station.

18 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the PDCCH monitoring span contains plurality of slots and only monitor contiguous slots within the PDCCH monitoring span.

19 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the PDCCH monitoring span are consecutive and non-overlapping in time-domain.

20 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising receiving the maximum number of scheduled PDCCHs to monitor per span, wherein the maximum number of PDDCHs to monitor per slot is used to limit blind decoding (BD) or control channel element (CCE) for an aligned monitoring span or non-aligned monitoring span.
